  • You be able to fool them for 1 day, but a week is like hell (tried and failed). I end up rather spending solo time in my dungeon than replying to any text messages. One thing lead to another, i married a pillow.

  • female biomedical engineer here.. and I get dates just fine lol

  • @lysssssss27 Hmm.. I'm a chemical engineer, and most of the she-engineers I know are monsters. rofl. Arguably, I am too. rofl.

  • female computer engineer here :)... inquires welcome :) ... ADVICE FOR WOMEN PLEASE.... HOW SEXIST!!!

  • Yes there are female engineers but in all of my science and engineering classes its consistently been a 10 to 1 ratio. Sometimes its much worse like 19 to 1

I have also noticed that, that ratio is then flipped when looking at nursing and psychology majors.

  • It doesn't matter what one's career is. What matters is their self image. I've seen jobless guys with hot girlfriends and millionaires having trouble getting dates. Search Maxwell Maltz on youtube to get some information on how the self image virtually effects every aspect of a person's life.

  • If you want to pick up a female engineer do the opposite of what he says. I love when men talk nerdy to me. The perfect way to ask a female engineer out: Write a program where you print the question (Would you like to go on a date with me to the Arcade?) to the screen and then ask the user (the female of interest) to input the response as a string. Depending on said user input (Yes or No) you can loop through responses to her reply.

  • @SunshineTHEcadet

I wrote a .py program doing something similar but I didn't compile it to an .exe because I'm used to people having Python installed on their computer and I like them to look at my code.

Let's just see it didn't go over very well when it was flagged as a virus.

  • Well this is 2011 where female engineers do actually exist.

  • Think about topics you wanna talk about, then talk about something else!

  • LOL you're an ass, I'm studying for Mechanical Engineering and I'm a female. Also everything that he said not to say caught my attention more than the words that he said to say. Come on guy all your do's and don't are eliminating the type of guys that i do like, engineers can be quite cute when they're into their work and love what they do.

  • a date is a bottle of wine and a punk concert. Im a programmer. And a punk.

  • bro...if your a engineer you would make enough to get any chick

  • Hi all ! If you want to date engineers, the best way is engiLove.com, the first dating site only for engineers !

  • I'm a female aerospace engineer. I don't believe in Bigfoot though.

  • @noorinrocks quit trolling

  • @noorinrocks So am I and nor do I

  • @noorinrocks I wish there more girls in my aerospace course :( Sigh.

  • @noorinrocks really?

  • Nah i'm pretty sure a monkey in lingerie is ALWAYS incredibly disturbing

  • If you're an engineer, you're better off smoking a joint and rolling with it.

  • This advice doesn't apply to engineers who want to take a geeky girl out on a date...we love shirts with mathematical sayings...

  • What about female engineers? Guys are intimidated by us and tend to want to run away.

  • Engineering: this is where the semi-skilled workers realize the work of better minds(physicist). Hello, Oompah-Loompahs of science :)

  • @dudeB15 How's the pay as a physicist...?

  • @wildmooserampage you see is not about the money, is about the knowledge and prestige, that's why im a physics major

  • @dudeB15 Your tone is a little condescending for someone who will be using machines designed and built by engineers to conduct your research - which will likely not be any use until an engineer has a look at it...

  • @wildmooserampage and those machines that indeed were created by engineers, were created by using principles that physicist long before stated, so in actuality im not using an engineers "machine" im using a physicist "machine", and i wish you well on your academic endeavors, just out of curiosity, is your major accounting or sociology?

  • @wildmooserampage I'm not trying to discredit the work of physicists, it's just a little close minded to announce that the work of physicists is "better". And no, as you probably should have deduced, I am studying Engineering majoring in Electrical and Biomedical applications. I'm not sure how it works at your college but where I study engineering is harder to get into and much more respected than science majoring in physics. There's a reason we get paid more...

  • @dudeB15

I've got mech-aerospace engineering and astrophysics degrees.

    Suck it, bitch.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA aw you dont even believe that lie, look psychology is not engineering, and sociology is not astrophysics.

  • @dudeB15 Got any basis for your little theory there?

's people like you who argued against relativity

  • @UBERxL33T Scientists = academics who don't know about the real world.

  • @UBERxL33T Scientists = academics who don't know about the real world.

  • Can I upgrate my girl if I hit her with my wrench?

  • I always attract engineers (especially engineers that are 30 years older).

  • In my engineering class of 50 or so we have 2 traditional female engineers and then 1 engineer that is the wife of one of the professors. 4% isn't exactly a number to write home about. Female engineers might be a little more common then bigfoot but the fuss that some people here are making and you would think the major was a 50/50 split.

  • excuse me? Bigfoot? That's a bit sexist dont you think? I know several female engineers and they were always smarter then the male ones.

  • @auntbecky it was probably just a joke

  • all the adult women in my family are engineers lol

  • We can't talk about Electric boogaloo?

  • Holy fucking shit. I had the same cubicle walls at my old internship.

  • What's with that phone? Please tell me that's only there so you can disassemble it.

  • I like all the opposites of what he said. I like my engineers XD

  • This sounds like great advice for starting a terrible relationship :)

  • As a female engineer, I wonder why we are put in the same context as "Hypothetically, there's Bigfoot too." Sigh, its like being called a mythical creature which has happened to me.

  • "When it comes to dinner conversations, think about topics that you really enjoy and then talk about something else." This seems useful!

  • This is guy is an Electrical or Software Engineer?.. I'm a Civil Engineer XD

  • doctors DO NOT make good mates...they're hardly ever around, success goes to their head, and they think they know it all...and if they're OBG's, they look at too much kooch...and breaststs

  • being surrounded by other dudes is NOT ALWAYS a good thing...

  • Big lolz. "When it comes to dinner conversation. Think about topics you really enjoy. And then talk about something else!" 2:04

  • Interesting video,I will take your advice

  • we arent all that hypothetical

  • WOW I was totally loving your videos until u insulted Women Nerds yes we are out there and guess what we are the BEST women for fellow engineers cause we love the same thing the rest of the Male Nerds do- a future female engineer

  • will you do a video about girls dateing engineers ? or do u have one ?

  • as a maintenance tech level 3 i make more than mos all of our engineers and sir im gonna tell u u cant fix anything or can any other engineer fix any thing we techs fix it you guys take credit engineers are useless most of y arrogant pricks don't even truly know the mathematics you so proudly harp on how about you show me a tensor whoops u probably don't know what that is o btw need to work on those social skills pricks

  • @tvaughanx The lack of sentence structure and punctuation makes it harder to take your response seriously. Plus you are just trolling. "Engineers can't fix anything"... wonder what all the schooling is for then? ;)

  • @tvaughanx an lets be exact there are 1,512,000 engineers in the us there are 147,000 maintenance tech level 3's in the us i wonder who will get a job....... wel when there are 1.5m engrs in the us that doesn't sound so special no does it ur good at school congrats so dont parade ur stupid little degree around like its special cuz its just as special as the other 1,512,000 degrees witch i might add most are industrial engineers witch isnt a real job

  • @tvaughanx Engineers do alot more complex work than that of a maintenace tech level 3. Plus i doubt you make more than petroleum engineer.

  • @ajcool240 dont inflate ur ego i do controls also jack ass ladder logic is easy all aspects of manufacturing is easy its the people that make it suck. btw i make alot more than u would think ;)

  • but i like my ham radio with SSTV built in

  • nah, the ham-radio and home made gps/gps-speedometer gotta stay in my car. Mostly because I can't remember what I did with the original dashboard. (I think a part of it is controlling the central heating in my house)

  • 'hypothetically there are some female engineers'

i find that a bit insulting:(

  • Aw, my girlfriend likes my Ham radio. She says it makes her feel safe!

  • Aw, my girlfriend likes my Ham radio. She says it makes her feel safe!

  • find yourself a girl who changes her own sparkplugs. A sorta tomboy-ish girl makes a great companion and mate. William Blake nailed it: "Songs of Experience My Pretty Rose-Tree A FLOWER was offer’d to me, Such a flower as May never bore; But I said ‘I’ve a pretty Rose-tree,’ And I passèd the sweet flower o’er. Then I went to my pretty Rose-tree, 5 To tend her by day and by night, But my Rose turn’d away with jealousy, And her thorns were my only delight." joe b
  • This video only applies to engineering males who are seeking non-scientifically-minded, non-geeky and non-engineering women. As a female engineering student, I prefer to date my own kind. ;)

  • Hey look buddy,I'm an Engineer, that means I date women. Not women like hotforwords,'cause that would fall within the purview of a whore.I date practical women.

For instance, how am I gonna keep my woman from ruining my job? The answer? GET BACK IN THE FUCKING DISPENSER KITCHEN.

  • I'm a (future) female engineer! (more specifically electrical engineer) and I agree with a lot of coments below that say that apart from some things, others are completely different ! If I dated an engineer I WOULD like to have conversations related to the career !

  • SPY IS SAPPING MY DATE!

  • what's wrong with homemade stuff? I love homemade stuff. Then again, i'm male and i totally don't understand girls.

  • hypothetically there are female engineers? i guess i only exist in the hypothetical world then lol

  • lol tell ur engineer friends i love engineers!! and im single!! lol :D

  • Think of topics you really enjoy, and then talk about something else LOL

    great video.

  • Yes ... woman date engineers who they milk.

  • I agree with bookishtrombone. As a female planning to be a future EE or CE major, all of those pieces of advice except dress code(1st five dates only) and the movies are completely incorrect. But then again, I'm dating a future med student.....who I've tried to convert to an engineer and failed. Hilarious advice that should apply to some of my male engineering buddies.

  • so if i do the opposite of what you're saying she will just go away? SWEET

  • I'm a female EE major and I'm dating an NRE. It's all these nerdy cool things that make me like him, and It's because he's sweet and shy and actually as smart as I am that makes things amazing. So while I don't agree with all of this gentleman's advice, I do find it hilarious.

  • Dude you look like a parrot with a haircut, yet you also look like a pimento olive with a haircut. Relax,I'm sure you're twice as smart and funny as a parrot and a pimento olive combined.

  • Female engineers are wayyyyyyy better than male engineers!

  • can we build a women?

  • Getting my degree in 4 months.

Seem like your leaning towards Electrical Engineers. Should do one on Mechanical Engineers (Me soon to be).

  • U ARE GAY

  • genius

  • wow! my first succesful date was at the movies...

  • LMFAO!

  • SPY IS SAPPIN MY LOVE

  • Google cathy arias dating guide. its really good

  • Date and Russian lady **leefoxnow.info**

  • oh gee thanks, being compared to big foot is great ;P

  • engieneers and world of warcraft? How does that fit togeder?

  • Excellent work man!

A few things you neglected to say about us that may be helpful:

Where to find them and to consider that we always see our profession as more important, or, if not that, then more beneficial to society than anyone else's. Female (and all, really) physicists don't appreciate this. Even thought it's true, of course.

My question to you is, once you find a female engineering major like yourself (SAME major, no less), how to woo such a unique individual?

  • Need many sexy and hot guys for date naneedj.info

  • Asian women online now lostlk.info

  • Hon, you got it all wrong. My husband's an electronics engineer and he's one of the most intelligent, creative, and sweet men I've ever met. I've dated all types of people including models (male and female), and he beat them all hands down. Really be yourself...that is good advice, but when you start playing mind games, that's when you really lose. And not a really funny schtick either.

Really be yourself...that is good advice, but when you start playing mind games, that's when you really lose. Sorry to tell you, but I used to model and have an IQ of 166.

  • this guy looks about 5'5

  • @1hotbeautyqueen There is no way I believe you are a female engineer.

    1) If you WERE a female engineer, there is no way you post that info on an engineering channel. You would, if you were an engineer, analyze and comprehend the possible reactions that your comment would create (ie mass spam from non-eng males (OMGAWD a woman!- no offense)

    2) You would also come to the conclusion, again from objective reasoning, that no male engineer would believe you are female for the reason discussed in #1.

  • Where did you get your shirt its so awesome?

  • I don't like how you make it sound like women aren't interested in science. The interesting women are interested in science. Any women who aren't, are not worth your time. =D

  • @The3rdPlateau Yeah! that's what I'm talking about

  • @The3rdPlateau Yeah! that's what I'm talking about!!!!

  • @The3rdPlateau amen!

  • @The3rdPlateau great comment.

  • @The3rdPlateau Exactly. You'd think that an engineer would be more perceptive and aware to the fact that a) there are numerous female engineers; it's not a "hypothetical" whatsoever so that is an ignorant statement, and b) there are a great many intelligent, savvy women who are interested in science, engineering and other disciplines. So we would appreciate if guys wouldn't feel the need to "dumb down" for us females. Thanks.

  • A woman's review: this is very funny, but this guy is totally WRONG about DUTCH. Being cheap is one of the best ways to stay single, guys!

  • @PaxLuna Being an expensive pre madonna is also one of the best ways to stay single.

  • Nurses, doctors, medical residents, and other allied health professionals are a good match for engineers, too. They tend not to be prissy (they cut up human beings in school, after all), don't expect you to kiss their butts, they work long hours too, and they're intelligent enough to have a conversation with.

  • God damn spys gets all the girls

  • This is the best advice ever. "Think about topics you really enjoy, then talk about something else." :-)

  • WHAT... I CANT SAY LINUX : (

  • think about something you really enjoy ... and then talk about something else. LMAO!

  • female engineer (mm hypothetically?). I love nerdy shirts and home-made gadgets. NOT dating an engineer just sounds so wrong....

  • LOL @2:06: "When it comes to dinner conversation, think about a topic you enjoy, then talk about something else."

However, logically speaking, the advice is flawed because you could think about, say, World of Warcraft, and talk about something else, like electrical circuits.

A better version would be "When it comes to dinner conversation, think about all the topics you enjoy, then talk about something else."

  • Todd, since when did my existence become "hypothetical"???

  • I absolutely disagree with the very last advice. It doesn't really matter what would another "though" guy or anyone else do. When you're in a difficult situation and don't know what to do, either do nothing, or admit you are confused and ask for help.

  • I am an engineer and my husbands a nurse. Now who is the bitch! LOL

  • I have a video along the same lines, except it's a guide TO engineers. Check it out on metacafe... A guide to engineers.

  • LOL cute video. However, there are women out there who don't care so much about money. But it's nice to see that there are really cool guys in the engineering world. Too bad you're married ;)

I have a question for you: would two engineers make a good couple? I only ask because I'm a female who is studying to be an engineer and would love to date another engineer.

  • What about "electro-domination?"

  • Awesome and nerdy :D

  • Try this one if you are dating a non engineer female.

If you really whant to know if your lady really loves you take her to the space or air museum a complete day and explaine to her stuff like how a turbofan, turbine or rocket engine work and if after that she still is intrested in you...

    Jack Pot!!!

    Thats the one my brother

    Greetings from Mexico

  • @pepito0511 - If you are referring to the ring he points to in the video, its a wedding ring.

  • hi are you canadian? i thought only canadian engineering grads got the iron ring.. i might be completely wrong, anyways im studying to be an engineer!!yay! but i have a question for you: Why do engineers make fun of industrial engineers?

  • what do you mean by industrial engineer?

  • lol is it a joke? umm i mean systems engineer aka industrial engineer, has to do with studying systems and optimization/ operations research/ ergonomics

  • @pepito0511 What's wrong with industrial engineers?

  • @pepito0511 why do the other engineers(chemical, electical, mechanical etc.) make fun of civils? xD

to us cement doesn't seem anywhere near as complex as the inner workings of a turbine, or robotic arm.i don't know, Control systems seems way more intense than whats already written on a cement bag. :O

  • hahahaha, wow this is funny. I'm a new engineering student and I see a lot the stuff you talk about. Man I hope it doesn't rub off on me.

  • I solved the problem by dating/marrying a horse women (vet, actually). They have almost as little experience with men as we do with women!

  • lol! I am a female engineer and I date a male engineer. It took me a long time to train him:)

  • That sounds like a video topic all by itself! Tell me, how long did it take for you to get him to wear a shirt with a collar?

  • You give me too much credit. He still only wears the tshirts that 1) he got for free from the companies he has worked for, 2) were given to him by friends who bought them on their travels, or 3) that I got for free from companies I have worked for that I then give to him. My favorite tshirt of his has a picture of a bar of soap which has a face, little legs and arms with the phrase "rub me on your butt":) What can I say... I am one of those strange beings: a female engineer!

  • So the ledgends were true. There ARE human females in the field!

  • @ndovu999 I resent that statement. You don't train people, and ESPECIALLY not your spouse/significant other.

  • hypothetically there are female engineers?? haha... well here's a real life, female engineer, and also a beauty queen :o) sooo..where are the attractive male engineers??? I have only seen one, and his videos are better than yours!! Visit youtube channel: klusmanp!

  • I'm totally more attractive, and funnier, than him. I challenge him to a geeky-humor-off!

  • @anengineeringmind

"...more attractive, and funnier than 'HE'. " :)

'cause 'Him isn't as attractive or funny as you' ...right? lol

And Snaps for being a Female Engineer - I have only heard rumors and stories of such. lol

  • @1hotbeautyqueen traps on the Internet do not count as female engineers.

  • Comment removed

  • lol and OMG, I just started an Engineering degree and was hoping to finally explore the dating world in university (as I didn't think that much about it in school and had to work my butt off to get here). I'm definitely not liking the vibe I'm getting of the engineering life style...

  • good stuff!

    i'm an engineer too XD

  • Amazing! Except for the amateur radio bit, I've tastefully kept my radio in my truck and it always worked out ;)

  • I mentioned Kruger flaps to a date once, and she said "What does Friday the 13th have to do with your job?" ....... needless to say it went downhill from there. Laplace transforms? No. Neural networks? Immediate reference to Terminator. Plane dynamics? Lead to questions of vague and disinterested questions re: your job. All of these are bad. Mentioning you have a Z4 and love long road trips and can afford something better than the cheap rate hotel? Hook-line-sinker.

  • I just can not believe it!

I have Labview on the other half of the screen running experiment, and this happens to be my entertainment for the Friday night.
