  • damnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

because this vids, i hate my ipod now!

  • hey man can i use my songs that i bought from itunes and transer onto the zune ?

  • i have a question. i just got a new blue zune 8gb, it was really awesome..except i couldnt put music, vids etc into it cuz whenever i sync itll say "device has not been updated but we cant do the update rite now" or something like that.. theres no prob with the device, the problem is the software..help me plz

  • Try downloading the newest Zune software from the Zune [dot] net Web site. Install it, then try to sync your Zune.

    - Jason

  • can i load music to my zune without using the zune software?

  • No, you can't.

    - Jason

  • @zphil14 I think there's a way if you start messing with how the computer detects the device, but I'm not sure

  • ive never had a zune but i wanna try one soo uhh i can put songs from my pc to the zune directly or do i hav to buy it?

  • You can load up any music you have on your hard drive via the Zune software.

    - Jason

  • i think

  • i like apple products but im a microsoft fan but do wish that zunes had more accessories like ipods.

  • i'm an apple fan (have an iphone and macbook) but the thing i dont like is if you buy a song from itunes....u can't share it like you do with a zune...whihc i would imagine is easier to transfer music not only from computer to device, but from device to computer

  • jason i need your help my zune always randomly locks and unlocks can u help me with it??

  • Post your question in the forums at Zune Thoughts - I can't do tech support in YouTube comments.

    - Jason

  • There is a Reset Feature. Try that and make sure you installed the updates.

  • I got an Iriver clix 2.. and it's probs just as good as this....

I have no idea why people buy ipods.....

They are not as nearly as good as iriver or the zune....

  • I noticed many places stoped selling the 120g Zune. Anyone know if we can expect a new model soon? Thx

  • The rumour is September. No confirmation from Microsoft yet.

    - Jason

  • Zune HD?...or a 3rd gen flashed base zune like the 8gb?

  • 4th gen flashed base zune 8gb**

  • I don't understand what you're asking - mikedundee1979 asked when the Zune HD is coming out, and I replied that the rumour is September 2009.

    - Jason

  • o ok...i know that the zune hd is coming out september but i was wonderin do you know if there is any other new gen zunes coming out along with the zune hd?

  • No, there are no new Zunes coming out beyond the Zune HD in the fall 2009 timeframe.

    - Jason

  • thanks bro

  • should i get a zune right now? or should i wait for zune hd?

  • wait for the zune hd

  • It depends on how much storage you need - the Zune HD is going to use Flash memory, so it's not going to have 120 GB of storage like the Zune 120.

    - Jason

  • anyone know the video artist name of the "dont let go" video

  • The artist is "Pacha Massive".

    - Jason

  • the guy below is obviously retarded because hes comparing an 8 gb zune to an ipod touch

i like zune, but it doesn't take a genius to figure out that an ipod touch is a bit better

  • The iPod Touch is a completely different type of device. It's more of a PDA than it is an MP3 player. It's a completely different class of device and comparing them makes no sense.

    - Jason

  • he's prolly jus comparin tha 8gb zune to tha itouch cause they're both 8gbs,but its obviously tht if u r gunna compare them tht the ipod touch is better but its an unequel comparison because the itouch is touchscreen an has all those apps n features n wutnot, the best device to compare the 8gb v2 zune to is the new nano chromatics, they're both equel in size, now in tht category the zune wuld win because it has way more features than the new nanos do like comparin the 180gb classic n the 120gb zune

  • I got a Zune and love it.

I find it to be a lot better than ipods.

  • I owned a Zune when they first came out, but have since purchased an iPod touch. Now with Apple's AppStore, the iPod touch is far superior in my opinion.

  • Zune is much better in my opinion.

  • you cant compare the zune to an ipod TOUCH. as its totally different

  • "totally" different? no, not really. The Zune may be hard drive based, giving your more storage, but the functionality of the iPod touch blows the Zune away. The iPod touch is a lot more then just a media player. After owning an iPod touch, I'm not sure why anyone would bother with a Zune.

  • thats what im saying. you cant compare a zune to an ipod touch, becuase theyre very different. an ipod touch is like a pda sort of, while the zune is only a meida player. when a zune touch, or zuneHD which looks like it may have a touch screen, comes out, then that will be the ipod touches competitor, and only then we can compare the zune touch and the ipod touch. but for now, they're very different things

  • Meh ipod's are good but 8gig touch for $230, a 80gig zune for 230. I'll take the zune. Ipods are nice and all but it's a small novelty having games on internet that doesn't last long. If i was travelling i would sure as hell get the touch but i'm 15 so i won't be doing any trips for another 3 years, by then there will be to many products to decide from.

  • i was thinking about selling my ipod so i checked out other mp3 players and i came across this vid and now i reallllllly want a zune. i'm gonna hopefully get one within the next week or 2

  • what problem occurred with your 1st gen?

  • i've heard lots of things like... it freezes and doesnt turn on again and its bad?- would YOU recomend it i mean how did it turn out?- do you like it?- because i am thinking about buying one...

  • Well, I've owned six Zunes, and I've only had problems with one of them - and it was a Zune 30, first gen. I've had zero problems with the newer Zunes. Buy one! :-)

    - Jason

  • actually im glad u said tht cause i ordered a black 8gig zune yesterday an im expecting it ihe mail ne day now n i rly think tht the zune is a product tht can overtake the ipod buzz

  • i dont think anything will take ove the ipod, but i do think zunes are getting more popular, and i love a little competion

  • I've gone through 3 ipods and Apple's costumer service has left me bitter. My 80gig video just died and the storee even said it was a hardware malfunction, BUT i still have to pay 140 bucks for a replacement. Its rediculous.

  • no Device is flawless, and will crash sometimes

No big tho, just restart it by holding the play button.

Other than that the only issue ive had is when backing out of the now playing menu optians, back to now playing, it laggs a bit there sometimes

  • How much was this? and Where did you buy it cuz i live in canada

  • You can get the Zune from Amazon Canada, Best Buy, Future Shop, etc. The price will vary.

    - Jason

  • well at best buy or future shop do you know how much it is for 8 gb?

im sorrry for asking so much

    but please and thank you

  • Go to the Web sites and find out for yourself - you clearly know how to use a Web browser or you wouldn't be on YouTube, so why ask me to do something that you can do for yourself?

    - Jason

  • 149.99

  • no point of geting a ipod i just got zune 8 and it was the same price as a 4gb nano

  • @tejv33r

its actually like 10 bucks cheaper.

  • Plz reply when possible...I dont have one yet...but why would you the Zune.

  • how do you flip the screen on the zune 4gb

  • You don't. When it's playing back a video, or photos, it will display it landscape - you can't force it to go back or go landscape while listening to music for instance.

    - Jason

  • How long does it take to sync the zune?

  • That completely depends on how much content you're synching of course - it's as fast, or faster, than any comparable iPod on the market if that's what you're asking. If you get a Zune 120 and want to fill it up with 120 GB of content...it's going to take quite a while!

    - Jason

  • its so hard to deside ipod or zune

  • ZUNE

  • your right

  • ZUNE...ipod sucks and its pricey

  • i would say zune since in zune u can du almost everything an i pod can du but in iz cheeper and is coller since it has wirless zinq

  • zune are coo,i got old 30gb i still would like a ipod touch the little zune beats the nano i think the zune 80gb beats classic ipod but ipod touch looks cool

  • can i buy your old zune from ya?=P

    seriously

  • In the long run Zune will one day be haveing Ipod's wipe it's ass because Ipods are terrible

(For all Ipod Fans out there i don't mean to upset u)

Ipods are so Copyrigth ridden, only synced to one computer, with the Zune u can share...so basically Zunes are for people with friends, so yeah i think i resy my case

  • Although I prefer the Zune, that is retarded.

The Zunes are the one with DRM limiting on music transfer, the Zune can't even WORK with a Mac, and honestly there aren't any Zunes anyways, so it doesn't matter if you can share, because no one has it.

I'm considering the Zune, but those are dumb reasons to do so.

  • i like both

  • actualy in my school every body has zunes...and not these crappy ipods.

  • I wish I went to your school...

  • ipod sucks!!!!!! zune pwns it!!!!!

    no offence to ipod lovers

  • ipods and macs to :)

  • iPods are for morons who think they know crap about technology

  • @FSGXTV

ipod are not only syced to one computer. thats only if you take the easy way out

  • Well, lucky for both of us, they're still making iPods and Zunes so we can each buy what we want. :-)

    - Jason

  • Haha yeah but there will be a lot more iPods getting sold. Why don't you like the iPod? After all, the Zune basically copied the iPod.

  • Why don't I like the iPod? Mostly iTunes - I think iTunes sucks. I also don't like the fact that the iPod's operating system looks like DOS...it's just not appealing to me. The scroll wheel is just silly as well.

    - Jason

  • yeah the touch sensitive scrolling thing. and it's also like 3x fatter then the 4g iPod nano

  • actually, i'm having some very frustrating issues with my ipod right now.

1: itunes won't mark some of my favorite songs as gapless playback, so my ipod won't play those songs.

2: my click wheel is getting very laggy and nonresponsive alot of the time.

3: the graphics heavy interface still lags.

  • also, everything you said is based on opinion.

for some people, the ipod may not be as organized or easy to use as the zune may be.

and its a good thing your scores aren't biased or anything . ..

  • zune seems complicating, thats why i got a IPod...

  • I used to have an ipod(s) but it broke, all my friends keep braking their ipods too. The Zune is very though and a have a year with my zune and there's not a single scratch on it; and I go backpacking, rock climbing with it.

  • Is the screen on the newest nano "the chromatic" bigger or smaller than this, and do you know the res?

With the new features on the new nano... such as the "shuffle" when you shake it and the landscape or vertical detection.... don't you think it will leave microsoft way behind?

  • You can go to Apple's Web site to look up the screen size and resolution yourself - I always find it silly when people ask questions here that they can go find the answer to themselves. You know how to use a Web browser or you wouldn't be posting here. :-)

I think the shuffle feature is neat, but not exactly ground-breaking. I don't see any significant advantages to the new Nano other than perhaps the size - it's very slender.

    - Jason

  • The screen is much bigger then this hunk of crap. No it does not, actually they are great features. I have one myself. The shake to shuffle does not get in the way of anything. It is really a good buy.

  • ive heard from my friends that you can get dust stuck under the glass cover of the screen.

    that sounds really polished.

  • wat about games?

  • The 3.0 firmware adds two games - Hexic and Texas Hold 'Em Poker. There's no easy way to get more games on there, Microsoft is still trying to figure that out.

    - Jason

  • I cant put videos on my 8gb zune. I have it looking in my videos folder for videos, and I place .avi files in the folder, but its saying there are no files in the folder. What do I do? thanks!

  • Unfortunately, AVI files are not supported - only WMV and MPEG4/h.264 are supported as file formats.

    - Jason

  • Why is there a video by Averil Lavinie preloaded onto Zunes?

  • There's a bunch of pre-loaded content on Zunes...it's a way of getting people started. You can delete it all though.

    - Jason

  • how do you charge your zune without turning it on? it pisses me off, (is it true the battery deteriorates faster if the player is on longer?

  • Unfortunately there's no way to do that. Eventually the Zune will turn itself off (if memory serves), or at least the screen backlight will go off. I don't think there's any truth that the battery deteriorates faster if the player is on.

    - Jason

  • MS should allow Playsforsure content to be converted to Zune so switchers from PFS devices won't be penalized. iTunes converts non DRM WMA files for playback on the iPod.

Creating a converter for Zune would show good will to those that are looking to upgrade their hardware without having to repurchase. The Zune software should have had a feature like this to search for PFS and replace with Zune tunes for free. Also the point system seems rather greedy to me.

  • It's a neat idea, but how on earth would that work? That would cost Microsoft a fortune to replace entire collections of Plays for Sure music - people who bought DRM'd music were playing with fire, locking themselves into a system that eventually burned them (with almost all Plays for Sure services shutting down their DRM servers eventually). DRM sucks, and I feel for the people that bought a lot of DRM'd music...but replacing that music with Zune DRM'd music isn't the answer.

    - Jason

  • Also, is Microsoft officially behind the hardware design because the first Zune was based on the Toshiba Gigabeat. It seems to me that this time around more cues are being taken from the iPod which does make sense since MS is in the position to create switchers like Apple is doing in the computing space where Boot Camp allows Windows install on Macs. Being Windows only is a limiting tactic on MS part. Apple learned this when the originally released the iPod as Mac-only.

  • The Zune 1.0 was an off-the-shelf design from Toshiba. The Zune 2.0 was a completely new design, all their own. As for Mac support, I know they're thinking about it, but as for when or if it will happen...only the Zune team knows that.

    - Jason

  • I had read that the actual hardware components inside the original Zune was for the most part, identical to that of the iPod Nano. Do you know if the new version has splintered away from that, perhaps using different components? Also, I would be curious to know the differences between the radio tagging on the Zune compared to that of the iPod with the radio accessory. Lastly I think that Microsoft should switch to a web 2.0 based software system so that the Zune would be more OS agnostic.

  • There's no difference in the hardware of the 3.0 units compared the 2.0 units, beyond the obvious capacity differences. I have no idea what a "Web 2.0-based software system" is - it sounds like you're spouting off acronyms without context.

    - Jason

  • LOL I'm sorry, but as a expert in audio systems, I highly recommend you to get one of sony's mp3 players. They are years ahead in sound quality and battery life. NWZ A 800

  • LOL I'm sorry, but as the owner of my own set of ears, I think the Zune sounds just great.

    - Jason

  • social seems kinda stupid because it seems no one has a zune anymore who is using social, it seems the zune HAS fallen behind the apple ipod

  • If you're talking about one Zune sending a song to another, yes, that scenario is very limited until there are millions upon millions of Zunes out there. But the social aspects of the Zune are very deep - I suggest you download the Zune software (it's free), sign up for the Social, and start exploring - there's a lot of great ways to discover new music without even owning a Zune. :-)

    - Jason

  • zunes rule i just bought the red 8 gig and they are awesome but does anyone know if zune is making a thinner, brighter, newer zune?? cause apple just keeps popping out these nanos and zune is gonna fall behind quick if they dont respond with somehting new and improved!

  • What's best, Creative Zen or Microsoft Zune?

  • creative is terrible ive had a couple and they died quickly, or I couldnt even see the screen

  • Which creative players did you have?

  • I dont quite remember, but my sister had a newer video playing one and that one lasted a couple of months

  • That's strange! I got my Creative Zen Vision: M two years ago and it still works great! I'm also thinking of buying a Zune to check it out.

  • love the ZUNEv2 80gig,in the car i can clearly see the display when searching for a song or if im curious as to what band im listening to. sound quality is excellent and im a bit picky when it comes to sound. earbuds are very good they are also magnetic so one could stick them together to rest around your neck or insert one and attach the other so as to have one ear listening to the ZUNE while the other is open to hear whats going around you.cloth coated cable is just like my Fender guitar cable

  • Very interesting choices in music: Plague Park, Pop Levi...nice! (,")

This new Zune looks very cool, cool as iPod, maybe?! I think it's a really good alternative to iPod Nano.

  • I have varied tastes in music - if it's melodic in some way, I'll probably like it. :-)

    - Jason

  • I'm all for getting a Zune. One of the reasons is the size. The nano's are way too small for people like me who have huge hands and fingers, so bigger is better in my case. There is just something with the thickness of the 8GB zune that resembles a chocolate bar to me.

  • Yeah, the Zune feels really good in the hand!

    - Jason

  • Use XNJB All mac users it works good with zune

  • It is better than the ipod video nano??

  • As long as you don't need the smaller size of the Nano for some reason, yes, I'd say the Zune 8 is better than the iPod Nano in every way.

    - Jason

  • way better

  • Yeah i think it is. Of course there will always be apple fans telling you the nano is better but i went from my ipod nano to a zune 4 and its better in pretty much every way possible.

  • i want one. im sick of ipods

  • Now that the Zune is more mature, I have no reservations about recommending it over an iPod Nano or iPod Classic.

    - Jason

  • Question...Will the Zune 80GB or Zune 4/8GB work on a Mac that runs windows? For example, on the Apple website they sell a product called Bootcamp that allows a Mac to run Windows. I want to get a Zune but I have an Apple laptop. Thanks. :]

  • Yes, if you use Bootcamp to run Windows on your Macbook, you can use the Zune software. Another option is a virtualized version of Windows - look up Parallels Desktop 3.0 for one option.

    - Jason

  • quick question, how nice is the actual video quality ona zune,i got a creative zen and i must say i love the thing, but its vid quality is great...at the perfect angle(is the zune`s the same way?)

  • I know that is may sound noobish, but does the zune only work on Vista and doesn't support XP?

  • It works fine on Windows XP - but it will not transcode Windows Media Center TV shows...that only works on Vista. But everything else works great on XP.

    - Jason

  • can you shuffle the songs in your playlist?

  • Its not even in sale here in Norway and its nothing special compared to the ipod touch.

I AM NOT A APPLE FANBOY the ipod touch just has more features.

  • You bet the iPod Touch has more features - there's no Zune today that competes with the iPod Touch, just like there's no iPod Touch today that has 80 GB of storage. They're different types of devices. The Zune 80 competes with the iPod Classic, and the Zune 4/8 competes with the iPod Nano.

    - Jason

  • Cool, im not the only one who listens to the SSx Blur soundtrack:) Good Walkthru:)

  • Wait um does it still have to be DMA music?

  • What's DMA music?

    - Jason

  • Shit i meant protected music

  • Why do so many people swear on YouTube? I've never figured that our. At any rate, you're thinking of DRM'd music. What would you like to know about it? The Zune can play any MP3, WMA, or AAC file that's not protected by DRM. Does that answer your question?

    - Jason

  • Thanx :)

  • Press and hold the back button while at the same time press and hold up on the Zune pad.

    - Jason

  • Yea They Come With Preloaded Music And Videos U Can Delete Them If U Want Tho :)

  • I'm just wondering, when I got my zune and I put songs on it, there were songs that I had never heard before on my zune. Does it come with demo songs?

  • Yes, it comes with demo songs and videos.

    - Jason

  • Um... I was wondering... how long have you had a zune?

  • I've had a Zune since they first came out in November of 2006.

    - Jason

  • you can also youse the touch pad to slide sideways

  • wait...why did you say youse? its use...

  • Is there any other skins?

I'm not big on the Black on Silver.

  • Skins? You mean the user interface? No, the UI doesn't change - you can change the picture on the home screen, but that's it. It's quite easy to read, it's more like white on black. YouTube doesn't do a good job of clarity.

    - Jason

  • I don't like zunes, ipods are a lot nicer looking and run a lot easier.

  • zunes r awesome hey Jason dude if u already have music in i tunes can u put it on the zune

  • If the music is DRM-protected AAC tracks, then no. If they're non-DRM protected AAC, or MP3 files, then yes, you can. You just tell the Zune software to scan the iTunes directory for music.

    - Jason

  • nevermind

  • can u change ur background on the zune?

  • does the radio make static noises sometimes?

  • I haven't heard that, but I don't listen to the radio all that much...

    - Jason

  • i meant to say can you take the content off the MS puts on the zune?

    from the start

  • Yes, you can. Connect your Zune, find the stuff you want to move, then drag and drop it onto the PC icon in the lower left hand corner of the Zune software.

    - Jason

  • can you take the content that MS puts on the zune

  • ZUNE

  • whaich is better: Zune 8, or samsung YP-P2??

    Plz reply

  • I answered this question on the other video you posted it on...there's no need to post the same question to multiple videos, I monitor them all.

    - Jason

  • how much would this cost and when is it available in europe, (belgium?)

  • also, it depends on wat u want in ur player. YP-P2 has unlimited bluetooth sharing right? (or something like that) but Zune had a more interesting interface. touch screen is (with no disrespect to Samsung) is kinda old now, but the Zune pad and interface is fresh and interesting. however, the good thing about th YP-P2 is that you can set actual themes on it which changes the menu inerface. cant do that with Zune. either way, it depends on wat you want more

  • so all the songs vids and pics on ur 360 u can put on ur zune?

  • My zune syncs with my 360 so it can do that and play ur music while ur playing a game.

  • It doesn't sync, it just plays music off the Zune. "Sync" would be if you docked the Zune and the music was copied over from the Zune to the Xbox 360.

    - Jason

  • You missed that you can change tracks while ur playing a song with the touch pad by swiping ur finger left or right.
