I have the 08 TE450, so far at 6,100 miles, 3 valve adjustments with minor out of spec. 2 fork seals, second batterie, one 15 amp and 20 amp fuse. Should I be looking for a new bike?
i have 1 a te450ie 2008 they need a new engine every 2000 miles and shim and seals / oil every 15 hours but its fast and you can allways trust it to work.my was tuned to 79bhp without super race cams.and top speed of 120mph not that u should take it that far. they stall if u have a bit to much oil .and new spark plug every 15 hours mine is at 4000miles still strong but i needed a new pistion, barrel, crank recompression, cam chain ,main bearings because i ues it on the road. never broke down tho
@spakls We didn't have any of these problems, but all of these would have been covered by the long warranty offered in Australia. Always stalls? Check idle speed and technique…
bought a 2009 leftover. Put 75 miles on it so far. Going to a 50 tooth rear sprocket. (has a 47) haven't really gotten a good feel for it yet a little heavy 280+ - Like it so far tractor power galore.I am 53 and a c class novice rider..
I own the 2009 Te 450 about a thousand miles now. It vibrates like hell. Had a water pump leak was cover under warrant. Front end still stiff , hard to dial in just right, alot of rocks around here in Pa.. Good in mud and dirt.Stalls alot. To much bike for tight stuff for sure. I would have gotten the KTM 450 exc for the suspension. Got lock out of my other you tube account tryed everthing can;t get in ( spaksl103 )
