You must have TONS of alternator noise with that wiring mess!!! Have a professional wire up your system so you don't end up burning your car to the ground!!!! Oh, and get a better cap like an Alumapro 5 farad. Ditch that Interstate battery too and get yourself an Optima Yellow top or Die Hard Platinum P1.

Hulbert87, you are right. I should have told him to upgrade his alternator to at least a 140 amp and all the wiring that goes to it and the battery to at least 4 awg. After seeing his wiring though which I was shocked at, I wouldn't recommend he do that on his own. Those electrolytic type caps probably aren't rated at 20-24 volts and wouldn't do much anyway for $33 each.

I was metereing my 13w7 last week. There are no subs that are banned from Spl comp. Only a few amps that use a design that kind of makes them acts as a two amps so they are banned. You can use any sub as long as it fits into category your competing in.
