I think you'd find most top drivers could make a transition fairly easily to racing bikes at an intermediate level. Whether they could step up to a world stage, that's another matter, but club level or even national level should be possible.

I did a track day once with David Brabham, (son of Sir Jack, check him on wikipedia) and found him a very fast and capable rider. He could have gone quicker but didn't want to take chances and hurt himself, and I can't fault him for that.

Because of the cut throat way he stole the championship from Damon Hill in the 1994-95 season. And before anyone jumps on my back & tries to call it a racing incident I completely disagree. He left the track with a broken down car then limped back on track as Damon was about to overtake him & take the championship & just turned his car into him. Michael Schumacher has always liked bikes. He is a keen follower of Moto Gp. He retired 3 years ago from F1 and (arguably) he is in the top 3 of best ever F1 Champions including Senna and Fangio. In his first year off he started traing on tracks with

He started training on tracks with SuperMotard and smaller bikes then entered lower grade races in Eastern Europe and Italy on 1,000 cc machines, all modified production Honda Fireblades 1000 RR I think.

Last year he rode Casey Stoner's MotoGPDucati with a reasonable lap time. Still he is a long way from the top class. He isn't trying for a MotoGP or World SuperBike ride and is just racing for pleasure. He is in his late

30's and his racing days are numbered. He is a good rider.
