i think its actually an awesome idea that you would use your own toons or independent artists. it would help out promoting yourself and others. very generous notion man!
I don't so much care about my tunes, but if it helps out some new bands by getting them heard, I don't mind helping. That's what Sobroke Media is all about.
i dont think you guys are cursed i think you just need a good impact gun! lol i never noticed do you guys have an air compressor and air tools? or you do it old school?
We have 3 compressors, and tons of air tools, just some times it's faster too use a ratchet. But when it's a big job, the air tools come out. Sounds like an Indy tire change.
My favorite rims too. I run slots on everything i have. Even machined my Harley rims( solid alum.discs) to look like slots. In the 70's they were on everything from Vettes to vans. Fully agree with you on the You Tube thing, that it crazy. But Joe in a thong might work?!!
lol thats what i figured but i couldnt remember the last time i saw you guys break out an air tool.. figured maybe ya'll was just stubborn hillbilly's like me haha
Sadly so am i....and there are all too many of them rollin round here at car shows in England....that's where i first saw the red slot mags....surprised you havent tapped out gaskets before...just stick the gasket paper to the manifiold, with sealant or just greace...and dude you can even use a block of wood, just rub it against the sharp edge of the flat casting,,,,,it juyst cuts through....even use the handle of a screw driver if you dont want to risk the casting....easy..
We have tapped out the gaskets before, but like I said, with the freshly machined head, we didn't want too damage the prestine nature of it, as it helps in the increasing of the value.
Rust blows, and you are right, aluminum is eaier too maintain, and lighter.
As far as you tube, I told them I thought it was fucked up that a girl in a thong, can shake her ass too an entire song, but we listen too the radio, talk and work over the song, and they delete us. I told Joe, that maybe if he wore a thong for the show, You Tube would stop deleting our show! LOL
Thanks for mentioning my tip dude, that truck is startin to look like Starsky's Torino.......
And Joe....i know you will probably know but i find it easier tapping new gaskets out with a toffee hammer on the manifold.."gently"....maybe it coz they dont let me use sharp things any more....
Since Joe had the old gasket, he just traced it, since the manifold was recently machined, he didn't want too warp the landing pad for the carb. Awesome tip for the gasket though.
And Starsky's ride rocked maaaaaan! I'm old enough too remember that show! lol
