You may have not learned anything but if your baby was watching it with you they certainly did. Yes they learn. Watching the movements and shapes, hearing the voices and tones. Just like a baby learns observing us. They are sponges taking it all in. Can't you understand that? Its really quite simple. Mix it up. Tv isn't ALL bad. Just like everything moderation and common sense. Its also important for them to have a little fun, lady. Take a chill pill.
Oh and if your kid watches this in addition to parental interaction, they will be fine. Just because a kid watches this doesn't mean their parent is absentee.
They aren't supposed to learn the darn language. Geeze... It is simply to get them accustomed to hearing the nuances of other languages. If you ONLY hear English from birth on, it is harder to pick up other languages properly. If you hear MANY languages, you can pick up another language easier.
sorry, after watching this a little more it becomes even more mind boggling to me how anyone could ever think that this is educational. As if children can actually learn these languages just by hearing random nursery rhymes. useless!
Baby Einstein has been studied and there was a direct correlation between the amount the child watched it and subsequent language DELAY. Please, I beg you, do NOT think that your child is learning something just because there is classical music in the background and pretty pictures. There is no substitute to YOU stimulating your child! (just google "baby einstein language development" if you don't believe me)
