me and my dad had love this song. i used to sing it with him all the time. when i hear it sometimes it makes me cry as this almost happened to us. (thankfully my dad took 2 years off work just 2 be with me)

Sure it can be played without a capo. It just produces a different tone/voicing. Ugly Kid did not use a capo.
