So many Americans and people from other countries have been fooled by Communist Cuba's propaganda of Cuban being a bad country before the Revolution. In fact Cuba was the third country in the western hemisphere with the highest standard of living after the US and Canada. The cuban middle class was the highest in Latin America and the cuban peso was on pair with the US dollar. Don't take my words for this, do the research. Just make sure you use neutral documents, not leftists ones.

As bad as you make this seem. Life in Cuba before Castro was hell on earth for the majority of Cubans. The revolution ended when Castro overthrew the US-backed regime of Fulgencio Batista... The youth of today in Cuba are losing patience with what you get when the military runs the show. Castro talks about the revolution in the present tense like an old senile confederate soldier who shoots first and thinks the war is not over. In school the young are taught to venerate sacrifices they make to keep the non-existant revolution alive. The youth wonder why they are being treated like they are stupid

Good documentary, Arockett. I lived in Cuba for years and I know the De Miranda family. Good people. Like fellow dissidents Oswaldo Paya, Martha Beatriz Roque and others, they are harassed and mistreated, not only by State Security but by thugs working under State Security's direction. Cubans live in a society permeated with fear. Fortunately, the fight against democracy and basic rights is unlosable. It may take some time, but in the end, Cubans will get their country back.

@kedekatan I agree with you. Eventually Cubans will get their country back but it is critical that the US stays out of Cuban affairs. The revolution was necessary for the country to wrest control from the US and American involvement has done nothing to help the Cuban people.

Good movie I have gave u 5 stars. Recently Castro got sick, I believe what Castro had created it's an desavantage Now.. he never allow another political figure close to him, so Cuba don't have another lider tha could be at the same clase of dictator. Good I glad that had happened!

Very good overall. However, the embargo allows for the sale of medical supplies and food to Cuba. Castro can't blame the lack of food and medicines on the embargo.

jerry Castro never fought for anything. He hid in the Sierra Maestra until others kicked Batista out. Learn some history before you go off half-cocked on a subject you know nothing about.

Jerry, How can we fight from here?, I guess you are not aware that there have been times when the Cuban exiles have tried to inflitrate that country and the US has encarcerated these people? how about the Bay of Pigs, when the US back down on the cubans going there to fight? Read more about history and you will see that we have tried and keep on trying.
