I for one prefer Zero Mission over the NES Metroid. Zero mission just adds some useful features such as shooting in more directions, better graphics, better sound, and it's portable so I can take it wherever

But hey, maybe you don't like those kind of features, it really doesn't matter. But that doesn't mean there aren't those who do like these features. It's your opinion, that doesn't mean it's fact, and that certainly doesn't mean that anyone who thinks otherwise is stupid.

@Brandonsmsh No prob. I'd say Metroid 2 desperately needs a good remake. If Nintendo decides to remake it, I'm sure it'll be for the upcoming 3DS announced at this year's E3. Perhaps, it'll be as good as Zero Mission was? If there isn't a remake schedule anytime in the near future, there is someone working on an unofficial remake of Metroid 2. It seems promising. Just picture it as some sort Zero Mission 2 lol

@Brandonsmsh I'm with you on Super Metroid for the DS, but it should just be a straight-up port with the option of GBA contols. imo Super Metroid was one of the first 3 that doesn't require a remake because it gave everything the first 2 couldn't deliver and then some. Just my opinion, I know someone out there thinks otherwise.

@Galladegal2009 well the entire series is about a kick ass big bad bad ass bounty hunter named samus aran, and her battles against the space pirates and the metroids. this game is a remake of the origional metroid game that came out on the old NES system.

MP Hunters was on the DS, actually, but I have to agree with the rest of the statement. In all actuality, MP Hunters was one of the worst Metroid games, even if its graphics were (arguably) superior.

3:25 I never expected this the first 3 times I went through this part.

That's funny. To get to Tourian, the final area of the game, you have no choice but to go through the area at 3:25. Now truth be told, it won't unlock till BOTh Kraid and Ridley have been defeated.

One thing I didn't like was the shoulders of the Varia Suit in this game. Remember how in all the other games when Samus gets the Varia suit the shoulders get all huge and round? That doesn't happen in this game until the end when you get the gravity suit!

I grew up playing the original so in some weird way I'm very fond of it, but it just doesn't stand up to the newer games, I think.

So, I mean, I respect that people enjoy the original, but I feel like this remake is more what the original tried to be but couldn't achieve due to the limitations of the system.
