  • My daughter and her new husband gave me a water smoker for Christmas. Thank you so much for posting this wonderful video. Your presentation is absolutely fantastic and I so enjoyed listening to your commentary!

  • Great video, nice job on this.

  • i have question - for tomorrow (!!!) - we are smoking a turkey with a smoker very similar to the one in this video and are wondering how it works for the drip catcher. do we put the bowl in with water and other flavorings and then a drip tray above it and then the turkey on top of it all? does the drip tray block the heat/circulation? thanks!

  • I loved your video, and I love even more that you are American. It's awesome to know that there are still some immigrants whom honor what becoming an American is all about......you understand this.....I salute your patriotism! Thankyou for being a great AMERICAN!!!!!-----

  • I was joking. Looks delicious.

  • Gees lady, are u a robot or something?....great video. Thanx

  • Wonderful video. You are so cute! :o) Your English is fantastic and how wonderful that you share in our Thanksgiving turkey tradition (I assume that you were not born here because of you accent). Very informative video and your husband did a great job with the camera as well! Thanks for sharing! :o)

  • a cup of wiiiiiinne yeeeeeess.

You should do voice overs for video games. You're great!

  • Great video!!

  • No sound?

  • Thanks for sharing.

  • you have a great personality!

  • A cup of wine....yeeees!

  • dont use olive oil it burns and taste bitter

  • Thank you very much! You are a delightful person! I enjoyed your video very much.

  • damn ur voice is turning me on for some reason :) :)

  • lol she was stuffing the turkey wth, onion basil, my dog...... lol hahahahahahaha

  • Thanks, I never thought of flavoring the water basin. What a great Idea for infusing flavor.

  • One recommendation would be to inject the turkey with some melted butter, chicken stock, honey, and spices. It will flavor the bird all the way throughout. Love smoking turkeys

  • Dear God, that thing looks delicious. I've smoked turkey legs before, but never a whole turkey. I showed a friend of mine this (To help describe it them -- they're Belgian) and now I want some. Perhaps one weekend soon, I'll do this (But with a chicken... Haha, a 22 pound turkey is too much food!)

  • @JamesW6179 I use about a 10 lb Jenny-o turkey..doesn't take nearly as long

  • Great video, this is a different way to smoke a turkey than the traditional way here in the u.s. I'm trying it new years day. Regarding some off these douche bags, they're just jealous they didn't think off this first. Notice there are no negative comments on your recipe.

  • Thx, I did follow your method, it was great, Thx again!!!

  • You are a sweet heart. The best looking smoked turkey I have seen this year 2010

    Thanks for sharing.

  • Hi, Nice video! I loved how excited and happy you were for your turkey!

  • Thank you for very informative and descriptive video. You have put a lot of effort and smile into this project. I must try this method of steaming/smoking.

    Cheers, 5*****

  • She needs a cooking show.

  • I have smoked many turkeys, on the gas version of your smoker. People always love it, just love it! You explained it very well! Good for you! I could not imagine a better explanation. Thanks for an excellent video!

  • I'm gonna give it a shot, starting at 12:00am Thanksgiving day.

  • thank you for your video, I am doing this method of preparing the turkey this year!

  • Must smell and taste amazing!! I will try something similar when I get my Webber Smokey Mountain BBQ. I wonder if it will make much difference using "lump charcoal". You only used a few chunks of wood with your electric smoker.

It's great that you have introduced us to a Chinese way (I assume) of smoking turkey. Most of the videos done by Caucasians just use plain water in the water pan. And maybe a few chunks of wood. That's it.

Your guests must have been so happy!! Lucky guests!!! :)

  • @AGC828 oh yes- charcoal plus hickory or pecan wood is much better to my tastebuds than electric or gas.I do like the way she has flavored the water in the pan too and plan on trying some of that.

  • I've watched your video 3 times now. I can't wait to try this method on sunday. It looks fabulous and I'm sure the taste is just as fantastic. I wonder how "the boys" from the south would think about this...LOL. I'm actually going to do another turkey in the more traditional way in a couple of weeks and decide which one is better for T-Day.

  • @wbkski Actually when you think about it-the pilgrams were the original turkey smokers-wood was all they had,so smoking should really be considered the "traditional" way. Now dude I know your smoked bird blew away your oven bird..Go ahead-testify! signed -boy from the south : )

  • i've read that turkeys this big aren't good for smoking because they sit in the "danger zone" too long. no problems with that?

  • @eitremn

Where did you read that? I can't imagine how "size" would make any difference.

  • @wbkski

I assume it's because the turkey is so big that the inner parts don't heat up fast enough to prevent food born illnesses from taking hold.

  • great video, i luv ur personality, makes the video more fun :) thanxxx

  • you a no season a turkey before han? no sal and pepa?

  • A wonderful video to watch. I also have a smoker here in England and they are great for doing pork, chicken, beef, you name it. tastes so good. Thanks for sharing!

  • Dam, that turkey is bigger than her............lol

    Great video!

  • Dam, that turkey is bigger than her............lol

    Great video!

  • Great job and you have lots of personality. You did great. Check out my brisket at my site.

  • Nice video! Me love your turkey long time!

  • @heavysack I AM SURPRISED YOU CAN TYPE WITH 6 FINGERS ON EACH HAND FROM ALL THE INBREEDING.

  • Great Job.... Like the wine and bay leif, Thumbs-up in my book...

  • ASIAN WITH ITALIAN ACCENT

  • used your recipe today with my charcoal water smoker and hickory. The turkey turned out great. thank you for the great instruction.

  • when placing turkey in, does the turkey not get burned on the sides from touching the sides, also how do the juices from the turkey not drip down and ruin the electric coil

  • does it still take at least a half hour per pound if you use a dry smoker?

  • I don't like electric, but you can't argue w/ what you saw at the end. That was a good looking bird, and I bet it smelled great.

  • Wow, that looked yummy! I just finished assembling my charcoal smoker, and I was looking for videos on smokers and I'm glad I found your video. I also subscribed.

  • i've learned that too much water is a waste of time..

I think that two cups of water is the best way...

    thanks

  • your recipe was really good, thank you

  • lol a cup of wine, yes! nice recipe!

  • Thank you....I am following method and just to make sure, you only put the water with the spices and onions and all once...does this water dry out. and you just leave it? also it was hard to understand how many hours it cooks for. thanks again for replying

  • I put about in 20 cups of water with wine and spices all at once, which will last for ten hours at least. Usually the cooking times varies from 45 mimutes to one hour per lb depending on how cold is the weather in your area. No need to add more water in the end. Happy thanksgiving !

  • How many times do you have to add water to the steamer ?

  • You need not to add any more water in the middle of smoking/steaming.

  • i was salavating the whole time watchin this, i wanna try this. it looked so good!

  • I used this recipe last year with mesquite and applewood and the Turkey was to die for!!

  • HOw about cold smoking fish or cheese? Seems to be difficult to cool the smoke to do it.

  • well ice is the key my friend. lots and lots of ice. by the way, so cal surfing sucks !)

  • lol... you route the smoke to a cooler area. Take a dryer tube from the top vent of the smoker and guide it to a box a few feet away.

  • Actually now, there's a vid of someone using a soldiering iron pen to heat a can of wood chips. You can use your regular BBQ to do it with.

  • Yah, stand there all day and keep putting ice on it to cool. The only truth I see here is that SoCal surfing is the worst on the planet but this video is about grilling not surfing

  • I want to put you in my shirt pocket and take you on adventures and then let you cook for me. You are so tiny and cute but make such fun looking food.

  • dude u sound like a rapist

  • lol

  • I'm not a fan of electric, but darn, sure looks good :)

  • Great job. I have a smoker just like yours and I'm planning on doing a turkey in a couple of weeks. Thanks for the vid.

  • Looks as beautifull as the cook :)

  • Great job, well done.

  • Wow ! That turkey looks like it should be on a Norman Rockwell painting somewhere . Beautiful work, nicely done !

  • This was very great easy to understand this helps me out a lot thank you so much.

  • WHAT!

  • I made this yesterday...omg this was the juiciest and most tastefull turkey I have ever had!! Great job......thanksgiving will be great this year.....thanks gor an awesome recipe!!

  • looks good

  • Thanks, I'm going to start with chicken or duck first. Wine is expensive, why not pour the wine inside the turkey rather than in the basin of water?

  • BUT SHE DID A GOOD JOB

  • LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!

  • thomascrown559....you are a worthless piece of TRASH!!! You go around youtube and message boards making fun of people. I bet it sucks to be you. lol... what a pathetic life you live. Grow up looser.
