I have Aspergers Syndrome, and Clay seems to have many traits that I do (Various tics, hyper-focusing on a few skills to the detriment of many others, being stressed more than other people by large public areas, etc), yet I see myself as less filtered in public in some of those aspects; but generally more sociable than Clay's portrayal here. Seeing this video makes me wonder what I can achieve, should I go out into the world and use my skills to not just help to better myself; but other people.

And he didn't know how to emotionally relate and connect with me. So it almost felt like I was hanging out with a robot or someone who is mentally challenged.

I think some people with AS might take out some of their strife upon the 'average' normal person they come into contact with - instead of accepting "them" like they want to be accepted. Life is hard though for everyone - we should ALL be nicer to each other and learn to follow Jesus' example and learn to embrace love.

So I think happiness is out there for aspys that aren't afraid to step out of their comfort zones and challenge themselves! The key for aspys, I think, is to find a way to relate too, respect, and LEARN from the NT people in their lives. They're not all judgmental or mean - I'd say NT's can be nicer than aspys, but trusting them was hard.

I have aspergers, but I consider myself to be a multitasker and so do others, my interests don't just lie in one area alone. I enjoy the arts in general, from music, to drawing and animation to the martial arts and take part in all of these activities. Like Clay I also pull my hair out, dislike crowds, can be blunt from time to time and struggle with eye contact. But I try not to let those things get in the way of what I enjoy doing, and its great to see others doing the same. =)

My 14 year old daughter has Aspergers. Like Clay, she gets anxious in crowds, she pulls her hair out, and she is focused in on her passion in life ... computer animations. I first let her use the computer when she was maybe 8 yo... I thought it was going to be a hassle teaching her how to navigate and use all the tools... Within a few days, I was just in her way.
