  • does anyone else hear laughing at 3:27 ? lol

Also thanks for making the videos I find your tutorial videos very useful keep at it

  • This is a very clever video. Very creative. 5 stars. It was actually funny. It is amazing how the music adds so much to the presentation. In the beginning when you had no muisc background...the presentation was very flat and I thought this is going to be boring. But, when the music kicked in....it really brought the entire skit to life. Filming the bloopers at the end was just as funny to watch as the actual skit itself. Great job. *****

  • None Of You Can Act, And you Should Of Made A Better Superhero Outfit.

    I'm Not Happy :P

  • Funny stuff, I enjoyed it. The flying scene was a bit long, but other than that it was a really cool piece. Hell, if I accomplished the flying trick you guys did, I would definitely want to flaunt it, so I don't blame you! Very good job, guys, I enjoyed it.

Check out my featured short film, Ultimate Couples Therapy, if you get a chance. It's about a superhero named Uber Chick. You might dig it.

  • Use feather blur.on edges..

  • was that an air compressor kicking in at 4:20?

  • amazing !!

  • ROFL!

  • Hahahaha the bloopers were so funny :D

    Good work Rick !

  • Nice, love the bloopers.

Have you gone from using a green screen to blue?

What made you pick blue for this shoot?

By the way I have got Avid editing program now....it's hard to use compared to Premiere Pro.

  • Hi Glen. Bluescreen is all I've ever had, but in hindsight I wish I'd got green (most of my clothes are blue!). Not heard of Avid before, what are the advantages over premiere?

  • Avid is the number one industry standard editing program. It is use to edit most of the feature films being made today.

Adobe and Final Cut are next in line.

Films like "Harry Potter" and the "Matrix" where edited in Avid.

The only thing is that it is hard to use compared to Adobe.

We are using Avid at film school....man, what a pain in the ass :(

  • And I thought premiere was hard enough to learn! Bet it didn't come cheap either?

Sounds like it might be worth it once you get used to operating it though. Just have plenty of beer standing-by to help ease those frustrating moments!

  • Thanks mate, I have had heaps of frustration bourbons (not a school) trying to figure out Avid.

It is the most expensive program on the market as well although I got it at student prices through film school which saved me around $2000.

I am slowly getting the hang of it....gee...I hope I do as I will have an editing exam on it.

  • i have tried prermier and found it very hard to understand, so i brought vegas, and it works really well for me, but then i only use it to cut and edit clips together and to add the sound, everything else is done in vision lab

  • I used Avid Xpress Pro DV over the summer, for five weeks while I was at a summer program at the Savannah College of Art and Design. I loved it, thinking about getting it at student price for the independent study i am doing at school. I have to make my school a new video, telling all about it and it's history.

  • awesome, I have to get a blue screen.

    great acting

    keep up the great job

  • Awesome Rick! I love the flying effects.

  • Amazing work from you like always. The chroma key results where amazing considering it was in your garden was it all natural light or did you have to add some to it?

Keep up the amazing work :)

  • Thanks for that! Yes I've discovered that natural lighting is sooo much better than artificial lighting when using bluescreen.

    it was all natural light.

Of course it does mean that if you need to act like a prat in front of bluescreen, your neighbours get to see it too!

  • Wow! Rick, what can I say... You always surpass yourself with new videos. Everyone better than the last!

The chroma-key was brilliant and the what a cool idea using compressed air!

One thing I didn't like was the phone call; you should do a visual cut early to demonstrate the reaction and keep the sound going from the previous clip, but reduce the bass - so it sounds like a cruddy old phone speaker.

    Hope that helped :D

And I hope you can understand what I mean!

  • Hi Mate, Thanks for the comments - good idea with the phone call - will bear that in mind next time.

You can use an audio filter called a "high pass" that will make it sound like it's coming out of a small speaker (we used this method at the beginning for the TV sounds).

  • lol, he fleeced you!

  • Once again rick very good =)

  • Great editing Rick,It came out very good didn't it?!. Some expert cloak waving from myself too...hehehe

  • AAHAHAHA very funny !!! WELL DONE RICK !!!!!!

  • Pretty funny video! Great job!

  • LOLOL - That was hysterical. How did you manage to keep a straight face? :)

  • Very funny!! :D

  • 10/10 man, soo funny

  • Nicely done. Was that compressed air - to get the wind effect?

  • Hi - thanks. Yes we managed to borrow an air compressor.

  • Nice idea to add physical FX to the use of CG as well. Like the titles too.

  • ahahaha very cool

awesome video, great work with special effects

    Congratulations! :D

  • haha really funny. great comedy short film. I love the special effects. I look you have a lot of fun with the others. :)

  • Great short!
