  • Holla! Have you heard about - fast abs magic (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now)? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my cooworker got ripped 6 pack abs and lost a truck load of of belly fat with it.

  • I eat 3 eggs every morning (with the yokes in) and use olive oil (pure fat) for my cooking oil in all my meals. Im not fat lol Hell, Floyd Mayweather eats a bunch of junk food, he's still fighting fit. Yup, gonna have to disagree with all the negative comments on here! lol Im not saying its the best way to do things, but its common sense.

  • this video is so outdated with lack of knowledge. it should be deleted. it is alot more complicated then simplistic thermodynamics

  • I'll give you 500 bucks. Will you give me 1000 ? Let's do it ! :D

  • I think this video is just wrong. You can't just eat whatever you want and rely on a deficit to lose weight. Your body needs nutrients. If I eat 1000 calories of fruits, vegetables, that is NOT the same thing as eating 1000 calories of pizza, bread, dairy, and chocolate. A deficit may cause weight loss, but you'll feel like crap and it isn't easy to burn off that many calories everyday.

  • Holla! Have you considered intellectus diet (google intellectus424dietcom)? Ive heard some amazing things about it and my buddy lost a ton of weight with it.

  • Oh hai! Have you considered intellectus diet (just google for intellectus424dietcom)? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my friend lost tons of weight with it.

  • calories in and calories out are not independent variables; They are depended upon each other! Search "Carbs make you fat"!

  • true true steve is totally right...

  • You can eat 4000 calories aday as long as you keep away from carbohydrates. carbohydrates starts a fat storing process which is why people get fat, eating fat and proteins will make you avoid this in the first place, and the proteins can be altered to replace the missing carbs. That way, you loose weight eating all you want. But not what you want.

  • @hawtnesszz Sorry, but that's TOTALLY INCORRECT.

  • @BodyPerformanceTV steve does your breathing matter when doing crunches or sit ups?

  • @al14di No, stop thinking about breathing, your body will do what it needs to do.

  • @BodyPerformanceTV Your message sells doesn't it you fucking liar. I have proven that calories dont matter on my own. I've eat 3500 calorie a day diets without that much exercise and I lost over 100 pounds. I also understand it from a biology perspective. I also understand it from a evolutionary perspective.

  • @hawtnesszz Wtf. That whole statement was complete bullshit. "You can eat 4000 calories aday as long as you keep away from carbohydrates". You cant just throw out there that anyone can eat 4000 calories. It depends on their frame/weight and body type. You can eat carbs as long as you aren't going over your calorie intake limit for that day.... cont

  • @hawtnesszz cont... ""That way, you loose weight eating all you want. But not what you want." That is backwards. You can eat WHATEVER you want as long you aren't eating more calories than you should be for that entire day, as I said before. You can't eat all you want just because you eat healthy foods. You can get fat by eating too much protein. If there is no more use for it, your body will store it as fat

  • i feel better and look better after eating high fat/protein intake with a lil fruit or veggies. But the next guy might be completely different. I just do what feelks right with meor what works best for my needs. i dont count shit. i let my stomache do the work for me:))) blahhhhhhhhh

  • i feel better and look better after eating high fat intake/protein with lil bit of fruit or veggies

  • Why is he still pushing that old, debunked calorie theory in 2009? He might as well argue that the world is flat. Yawn.

  • listen again. i feel he makes alot of sense. the onl y thing is that to create a great calorie deficit and high metabolism means you work out a great deal a reason why we all cannot get away with eating fatty foods and staying thin.

  • why is he?

well if its not broke why fix it?

should he make something else up just for the sake of it?

  • Great videos. I have a question: i'm on a 5 meal diet, I eat 1cooked chicken brest with some rice every 3 hrs, and im lifting waights and i want to know how much should i eat to lose waight and have energy. What would be the right amount?

  • if your body burns like 2000 a day by staying still, what is better, lower the intake to 1500 to lose 500 or take 2000 or more and spend enough to lose 500... because with time if we eat lower then 2000 our metabolism will be used to burn 1500 and it will become our new "non fat burning non fat gaining" number.... does taking around 2000 or more and burning around enough to lose 500 (how am-I suppose to calculate if I did) lowers you metabolism to, in a way ?

  • If 2000 calories are healthy for you, than they will stay healthy for you. This only changes with weight and activity level: the more you weigh, the more calories you need per day (2cal p/lb of fat and 19cal p/lb of muscle); the more active you are, the more calories you use up. It's best to lower the intake 200-400 calories AND increase the output another 200-400. Hope this helps.

  • Yes, if you're not in good shape. The better shape you're in the more your body utilizes fat. But your body will eventually store all unused calories as fat.

  • True, but I'm wondering: if your body is used to burn more calories than it takes in, the moment you don't burn enough of those calories (lets say you take in 2500 and burn 2000), won't your body store them quicker than usual? (because it sees them as 'reserve')

  • Word! Peace!

  • the most logic stuff. thanx ma nigga, shyt is real.

  • this is false, if you eat all foods with high fructose corn syrup and MSG and other chemicals, this WILL prevent you from losing fat... because those additives literally expand your bodys ability to STORE FAT, do some better research

  • Thanks.

  • very good advice man! Keep it up! Youu help a lot of people.

  • People miss the point,it does matter what you eat.Carbs cause cravings so the last thing a person trying to lose weight wants is a craving for food. Read Atkins.

  • does this work I really wanna know pls I'v tried everything

  • This works but only for people who already have VERY low body fat levels. You have to be CONSISTENT with your diet (either eating less or eating healthier) and exercise.

  • I disagree, it's important what you eat. If one simply increases exercise and reduces calories (deficit). You will loose wt. but you might loose more muscle wt. then fat. If one eats a low fat diet plus exercise. Then you got something. By the way reduce sugar and salt too for an added benefit. See ya!

  • I don't believe in calorie deficit anymore. For years I created a calorie deficit and my weight would only change by about 4 lbs. I started eating more calories to lose weight over a year ago. Why did it work? I avoided sugar! 32 lbs gone since last April. It took only two months. I think we have been brainwashed about calories.

  • Hey...can someone help me?

I ate an egg white in the morning...and then I had about 10 green grapes then I worked out for 2 hours (burnt 630 calories on the treadmill)after I was done I felt light headed and dizzy and weak...I now ate tuna salad and 3 pieces of toast with peanut butter and jam to see if that will make me feel better...I do now...little headache and sleepy! is that too un healthy to do what I did? should I be eating more before a workout?

  • If you just started eating low carb, then sometimes there is an adjustment period, kind of like withdrawal from sugar. You should eat more b4 working out, but don't over due it on high sugar items and you won't feel really tired. Lots of sugar will actually make a person feel tired. I lost weight by avoiding grapes, toast, peanut butter(has transfat) and jams. There is only one good tasting peanut butter without transfat.Chk ingredients.

  • EAT. eat well, just dont over do it. 10 grapes and 1 egg whit is horrible for you. you should eat enough food to sustain energy levels. you are doing the crash diet oh my god if i eat 11 grapes i will be fat thing. eat. eat.eat. you need to eat to lose weight. just watch steves video titled "eat enough"

  • but its alot easier to burn calories from protein or low fat foods than it is high fat food, so your just making it harder

  • I wonder then, why it only took me 2 months to lose 32lbs. I went from 162 to 130. I ate higher fat food than before and avoided anything that said low fat or no fat. I have maintained for a year, by avoiding high sugar items which just happen to be low fat and no fat foods!

  • wow "it doesn't matter what you eat when your on a diet, as long as you have a calorie defecate." ok Steve ill just eat a couple big mac meals a day, and make sure that i have that defecate and ill be fit. Come on man, u on crack?

  • hey he is rite

  • Yes, if you eat fast food and have less calories then you burn in a day you will lose weight. He never said anything about artery health.

  • I'm glad you see that being healthy, and being fit are two completely different things. Love your body

  • He's talking about loosing weight and in those regards food is food if you are just seeing them in terms of caloric intake only.

Also, if you are working out hard and regularly, you can afford to eat the occasional big mac.. what you were originally suggesting was an unrealistic exaggeration to prove your point.

  • For a groovy self help program check out the book Disco Hypnotic. Google the title to find more info.

  • this is junk science!!!! losing weight requires nutritional balance.efa's (good fats) lean protein sources, complex carbs plenty of water etc what the hell is this dude talking about. wtf? what about cholesterol.

  • i agree but if u eat all fat, that wouldn't be much food. so u need to eat more, which means u need to exercise more. the problem is, its impossible for the normal person to burn 4000 calories a day after eating 2000 calories. plus fatty foods don't prduce enough energy to maintain the energy level needed to burn lots of calories...

  • This is not true, in fact Fats can be use as energy just as well as Carbs. Have heard of ketones

  • for a so called expert, he really is quite ignorant with is simplistic calorie in, calorie out explanations. he seems to know nothing about the direct relation between the amount of carbohydrates in your diet causing too much insulin(fat storage hormone) to be produced causing weight gain.

  • No, actually he's right (surprisingly). It doesn't matter how many carbs you eat or how much insulin they spike, each of those carbs are 4 calories of energy, and if you're burning more calories than you consume, all those carbs you ate are burned for that day + fat is gone.

  • yes, i never said that will not work, it you are willing to restrict your calories to that extreme. but not once in any of his videos have I heard him talk about the the carb insulin connection.

  • His saying fat is energy just like food so it dosent matter if you eat fat or something else with calories in it as long as you eat less calories then what you use or burn off, you will still get fat loss. Food tastes better then lard.

  • i agree, but i gotta say if you are trying to lose weight you might as well go ahead and eat healthy stuff because it has less calories, so there is a greater deficit, plust it has all the healthy benefits of that food

  • Thank God and (you) for common sense reasoning, great video! Salaam.

  • so what you're saying is... I can spray a whole can of whipped cream down my gullet each day and I will lose weight??

  • pay attention dude, lol, it means u have to burn more calories in a day than you eat in a day.

so if that can of whipped cream had 2500 calories in it, u better be ready to stay at the gym for two hours.

so u have to count calories, say u go to the gym and and burn 2500 and eat 1500 worth than u have lost 1000 calories and there u have lost some, but not much

  • because your body can only get so hot, it would be like melting a crayon or a piece of fat in very low heat. so a few pounds may take a while, but as long as you stick to a workout schedule and a diet that takes in less than what you burn you're good.

  • also increasing intensity (when you know you can do it, so dont try to impress anyone by lifting heavy)so say you run a mile burning 100 cals in 10 minutes, you'll burn them faster than walking that mile in 20 minutes, you can burn more or equivalent in less time. so frequency (how often) intensity (how much) and exertion..or something (how long) counts for it. so a mix of cardio and weight lifting would be best to go with your diet.

  • also take a day in the week off or two to recuperate your body (you can still do cardio or low intensity workout like yoga or pilates for flexibility though). a spread out schedule would be great say 3-5 times a week for weight training and as much as you want for cardio 4-7, you can double the amount or times you run or bike if you really need to lose weight

  • for lifting i recommend doing 2-4 sets (rounds)depending on how fit you are. also be sure to include a warm up set at a low weight to stretch your muscles out. the amount of repitions (1 rep equals one curl or one situp, pushup, get the picure?) should be between 8-15. the more weight, the less reps, unless you can control it. so try to reach 15 for each.

  • so if your just starting out, pick up a weight that is light and do 15, then move up. as you move up, your muscles will hurt and you'll feel so weak that you can't do any more. this is called muscle failure. also the "burn" you're going to feel is caused by lactic acid in your system, try your best to ignore it and push through.

  • last but not least be sure to include calisthenics into your workout. remember what you did in gym class? sit ups or crunches. push ups, squat thrusts, jumping jacks, jump rope, remember? and be sure to stretch for 30 seconds before and after your workout.

  • sorry i meant to say push ups and squat thrusts. swimming is also good exercise as it will use every part of your body, so do a couple laps every now and then and always try to beat your time, or increase your laps. include sports into your hobbies, you'll make new friends and find something fun to do. softball, football, soccer, karate, you name it and laugh! it's good for you.

  • High fat diet is for morbidly obese people...it eats up muscle

  • no sitting on your butt and starving yourself does. also he doesn't mean high in fat like candy and ice cream all day. he means higher in fat like a dessert or red meat in your diet. so spread out your meals say...4 hours apart and eat 4-6 meals a day (small ones) a snack counts as one also.

  • I agree 100%. I did a high fat diet and lost almost 100 pounds!

  • if you guys really wanna burn the fat, weight train my friends. muscle is the most active tissue in the body, so if you gain lean muscle mass, it doesnt matter if your sleepig eating whatever your now burning more calories then you once were. thus, combined with everything else, well make it much easier to reach that calorie deficit

  • Whoa, what you're saying is true, but if ANYONE ate 1000 calories who burns 2500 their metabolism would plummet terribly. When the body doesn't get enough calories, it compensates by slowing down, burning less.

Ancient survival technique when food was scarce.

  • sounds like a good way for your body to cannibalize what muscle you have for energy especialy when restocking with junk food

  • Tou are right BodyPerformanceTV, but a 1000 cal of fat, though tasty, can't be that nourishing ;P. Just kidding, keep up the great vids!

  • i was just thinking about this today, and this is the first movie i looked at, gods trying to tell me to go on a diet, lol

  • I have 2 suggestions. Crack open a physiology book and stop watching my videos. Problem solved!

  • oh boy...

  • Fat does not make you fat, sugar makes you fat and when you buy low-fat foods and products they may be low in fat but loaded with sugar for flavor.

Sugar raises your blood sugar and then drops it drastically. Fats and proteins stabalize your blood sugar and therefor you are not hungry all of the time and you can efficiently loos weight.

this guy KNOWS what he is talking about.

  • it is me, or you're just getting BIGGER???

  • I've been working out!

  • Great to know. Falls right in line with my habits. Thanks Steve.

  • Oh, so you mean people don't have to spend $20.00 a day on all those "Lose Weight Today" diet plans? The more of your vids I watch, the more PO'd I get at all that crap that they advertise. Marketing: Preying on the ignorant! Thanks for another great vid, Steve!

  • Believe me, I understand!

  • I am seeing a connection with all you videos eat less than I burn in a day and I lose weight can it get any simpler than that? I don't think so thank you Steve for all your help

  • Any time my friend.

  • This thinking has been really helpful this week. I'm away on business and the hotel food is really fatty.

Instead of avoiding it, I just eat less of it and I eat very slow. That plus making sure I use the hotel pool and gym every day really helps me stay in the correct calorie zone.

    Thanks for more inspiration.

  • great info. i check youtube everyday because of BPTV. thanks steve!

  • that has always been my concept to losing weight~ I hate diet food so I eat just a little bit of junk food then exercise all day. It works

  • Nice example.... "I give you 1k and you give me back 500... I'm upset"!

But then Why all the big sportsmans complain about not eating this and that? If they exercise right they could eat just cakes all day long and still make a calory deficit... right?

  • Yes, but it wouldn't be very healthy.

  • Very true, too much refined carbs / foods will actually robbed you of energy because the body will process it TOO quickly, and before you can use the carbs as energy it will have been carted off as fat to storage. Plus all that (saturated) fat will clug up the heart. Better if one has to eat alot of fat to eat heart friendly fats like fish oil which has Omega 3, 6 & 9. Very good for the heart (actually prevents heart disease) and the brain (brain mostly made of fat)

  • Its true cause lots of people on the football team in college eat pizza french fries and cheesburgers and are still ripped. LOL Ask Chad Johnson(Bengals). But I think bulking or adding weight its more important to add good weight.

  • Hmm so this means i can eat ramen? Sweet i love ramen but just couldnt eat it with its high percentage of fat and calories from fat and its low nutritional values.

  • Great video as always!

  • thanks!
