Probably just a perception, probably people speak in higher voices with their own language because they know it and can speak it faster. Yes, I have not seen them speak English as they tend to not get interviewed very much, so I assumed a language barrier. I guess I was wrong.

Just as well they didn't know more English; it might have kept them from wanting to slap Carruthers for being so condescending!
