    GOD BLESS TEXAS!!!!

  • I love Texas. We have been away for over 10 years now, and I wish we could be back. It is unlike any other state, and they take their freedom seriously.

  • Omg, I always thought the U of T fight song "The Eyes of Texas" was the state song! Grew up in Sooner Red Territory so my dad led me to believe the OU fight song was the Oklahoma state song and U of T was the same for Texas.....I guess it's only true in football season!

  • i didnt even know we had a state song.. O.o

  • @caitygrl456 Happy that you learned it here. Now that you know. Share it with others you know who may also not know. :-)

  • @caitygrl456 You should have grown up in Texas. We learned this song as 3rd graders. Or have the public school systems and ACLU outlawed this wonderful song being taught in the schools?

  • @WilliamDRowlett

actually at my school we learned it in first Grade

  • @tommythompson364 It may have been 1st grade for me, too. I was in 1st grade in 1967 so I may have blurred the years over passage of time.

  • @WilliamDRowlett Not outlawed but unfortunately no longer taught i learnrd the song and the texas pledge in school. my lil brother knows neither.

  • @caitygrl456 wow, i dint know what it was but i knew it was there. at least we dont have cali's by justin bieber (joke)

  • @jdubya0257 the guy is on every Texas song site - troll Yankee

  • Five people haven't experienced the awesome that is Texas.

  • mountainwalrus100 slams Texas and then says no offense to we Texans. What a fricking idiot! ROTFLMAO!

  • Texas freaking sucks. No offense to the people of Texas. I am sure that the people are just fine, besides being too boastful. But my goodness, Texas is not a very good state. The only thing it has going for it is that it is so big. It also has oil, which I guess is nice. I am not trying to piss people off, but I just don't see the appeal. I mean, just claim that your state is great but enough with the Texas superiority complex. My goodness. It's tough to live with you people.

  • @mountainwalrus100 LMAO! You are the one who sucks, walrus. Bye-bye SUCKER!

  • @mountainwalrus100

it's tough having to live with people who piss and moan about texas....as a texan, i know what this state is worth to the rest of the union, besides oil and being big....have you forgotten about texas instruments? the houston space center, and so on...we are boastful for a reason, its called state pride, don't you have that?

or are we the only ones not allowed to do so because it makes you mad? what is your appeal if i mind asking?

...but no offense to you that is

  • @airstation828 I blocked mountainwalrus.

  • @jdubya0257

sorry.....but that comment got to me

  • @airstation828 Got to me too, that's why he/she/it got flushed. :-)

  • @jdubya0257 how do you block someone ?? can't find it -- uysed to be a tab somewhere

  • @airstation828 amen

  • @mountainwalrus100 then do us all a favor and don't be a troll ...... why did you come and look at this video anyway ??

  • I'm from Europe, but I have a strong hope to live in Texas one day. God bless Texas!

  • @MrCN86 Texas is a state of mind, and you have grasped that reality. Get here as quick as you can, we need the reinforcements. Yeehaw! :-D

  • I wish I was born a Texan,I'm a Yankee but not in my heart,if that makes any sense.God bless you Texas! I have been to your state. You folks are awesome!

  • @USAdude30 Thanks, dude30! You don't have to be from Texas, to be for Texas! Yeeehaw!

  • @jdubya0257 You bet bud,you guys think right.

  • God bless Texas!!!

  • I was hoping for some lyrics, but I'm still gonna move there from Ohio, and my gun and my belong to You, Texas!

I'm a newbie, so I'll take the front line if federal invaders try to impose their will. Better that I die in defense of Freedom than a native born.

You, Texas, and Texans, are the last, best hope of Liberty!

And if I can live with you, and become Texan, then God will have Blessed me!

  • @JackBootLip Lyrics are in the description area. You are already a Texan at heart. Come on down!

  • the 4 dislikes stands for the mexicans...

  • Happy birthday, Texas! Proud to be a native!

  • Why do you guys want to secede?

  • @777BMWfan1 we are a state of over 24 million people, with vast natural resources, and land mass for future growth.

we have consistently paid more into federal taxes than benefits received, our GDP is currently ranked 15th in the world and we are the number 1 exporter in the united states.

Long story short is that Texas would thrive as an independent nation, in reality the United States needs Texas WAY more than Texas needs The United States.

  • @bencr06 hmm i see might be an escape from the corrupt government for me

  • @bencr06 AMEN!

  • @777BMWfan1 It's not that we want to. That's the voice of a group, not the consensus of the whole. The idea is that, of all the states in the union, we would stand the best chance of thriving on our own. Honestly, though, there are times that I've thought about it. The thoughts stem from the amount of verbal abuse I receive now that I'm living outside of the state. Having seen how we are viewed, I feel like it would be a sort of 'In your face!' to all the people that get on me for being a Texan

  • NATIVE HOUSTONIAN!!

  • God bless Texas

  • jbubya: This song is the only thing that gave me a flashback, two tours in Nam did not bother me at all, but that scene in the Last Picture Show, when the music teacher started to bang out the opening chords did....In Orange CT at the Cinema, I jus could not help myself!!! I could not explain this to my date, a Yankee Girl at all!!

    Dale in AL

  • jdubya: I was exiled in CT just to work on the RR...as soon as I could, I got back South!! I live in AL now, but I wish I could be in Cowtown agin'!! My very favorite city!

I was there for the entire B 36 production at Convair, my Father was in the USAF...

I live in Birmingham, where we got us a song too!! (By Randy Newman!)

    YeeHaw from AL

    Dale

  • @vonmazur1 Dale, I was born and still live in Fort Worth. Reckon I'll be here my whole life. It is the best city in the state, for sure! My dad also worked at Convair/General Dynamics. He was there for 30 years.

    God Bless Texas!

    James

  • @jdubya0257 James: We sang the closing verse twice, the second time twice as loud!! No other state has an anthem like this one, Hell, I lived in Conncticut 29 years and no one knew even if there was a state song, besides Yankee Doodle....I had a real flashback when the music teacher in the "Last Picture Show" started banging out the chords, not even two tours in Nam got to me like that did!

Thanks for posting this and thanks for replying to me....

    Dale in Birmingham

  • jdubya: I was working on the RR in CT, as soon as I could I moved back south. I am in Alabama now, but I wish I could live in Cowtown agin!!! Bama's got it's good points too!! I cannot tell you how many times I have to tell the Football Fans round here that this is the REAL STATE SONG, not that stinkin' football song the Tea Sippers sing!!

    YeeHaw!!

Dale in Birmingham (We got us song too, by Rnady Newman!)

  • Miz Marsh; our music teacher at St Alice Parochial School in Ft Worth, made us sing this every day, her brother wrote it...I once won a contest at the Lone Star Cafe in NYC because I knew this was the real state song....Kinky Friedman and the Texas Jewboys made me sing it!! I was apparently the only "Yankee" who knew this...They closed the Lone Star after that, due to losing the lease...but what fun for an expatriate Texan to show the NY Yuppies just how little they know!!!

    Dale

  • @vonmazur1 Yeehaw, fellow Texan. Are you still in NY or have you made it back to Cowtown?

  • this song reminds me of Borat, no offense.

  • this song reminds me of Borat... no offense

  • this song reminds me of Borat

  • God bless Texas!!!! I'm damn proud to be Texan!

  • go texas. woohoo

  • We need to separate, but we still need an economic alliance with the United States, or we need another Superpower's support (Russia is looking for a way to even the balance after what the Yanks did with Yugoslavia, Ukraine and Georgia). Remember that if Texas succeeds, Montreal does, too per the long standing agreement between Texas and Montreal (be nice to French). And hopefully Alaska will follow. In that case we better bury the hatchet on the cultural snobbery between us and Alaska.

  • Thank you for printing the history and lyrics! I remember singing this in Kindergarten while growing up in Houston. And I also believe if the USA continues to follow in Obama's socialistic grip and lead then Texas should secede even if it means we have to split the state up into smaller states to do so, after all we will find a way to keep true Texans together through it all.

  • @AmPatrioticTexan Thank you! I am all for Texas secession, but don't think it will happen anytime soon, given the current crop of so-called elected reps we have in Austin.

  • @AmPatrioticTexan Don't get me wrong,I also think Texas should secede and am proud to be texan, but Obama is in no way socialist, there has never been a true socialist country anywhere in the world. He's no more a socialist than Bush was.

  • @Thetasquadldr BHO is not only a Marxist socialist ideologue, he's a Constitution hating ineligible usurping lying fraud and TRAITOR! He and his statist cronies hate the America given to us by the Founders! He's also an anti-semitic Muslim who sympathizes with the Islamonazis. Bush, with all his warts and pimples, was and is none of that.

  • @jdubya0257 Well then Bush also hates the America "given to us by our founders" I don't remember them saying anything about restricting freedom for "security" but I do recall Benjamin Franklin himself saying:"Whoever gives up his freedom to gain security shall lose both." And how can Muslims be Nazis? Most Germans hate Muslims. Please prove to me he is marxist, maybe try reading "Das Kapital" first.

  • @Thetasquadldr Equating Bush's screw-ups to hating America is a BIG stretch! He did things wrong, for sure, some unconstitutional, but nothing compared to the hatred and contempt of BHO towards America and our Constitution.

To the rest, do your own homework! Study WWII history to see how the nazis and muzzies collaborated. Study BHO's history to see that he is a Marxist ideologue. Read his books! Read Alinsky's Rules for Radicals.

  • @jdubya0257 If Obama were marxist he would have started a revolution and not let himself be voted in.Also he is supoorting Israel right now which doesn't to me to be "anti-semetic" or pro-muslim.Hitler only worked with them to gain power, after he had completed his goal he would have gotten rid of all "non-aryans"

  • @Thetasquadldr I've had enough of your kool-aid drinking ignorance. I'll waste no more of my bandwidth on you! Good night and good-bye, sycophantic DRONE!

  • Nice anthem, greetings from a Turk =)

  • Time for Texas to become it's own nation again. God Bless Texas!

so you may grow in power and worth through out the ages long!@!!

    tada!\

  • lone star state kicks ass ^^

  • Yeee-haw. Sure looking like we need to become The Republic of Texas again.

  • hell year, bush for president ^^!!!

  • @jdubya0257 Some of us wish you could. The three Presidents from Texas (Eisenhower, who was born in Texas, and Johnson and Bush) were a disaster. Each of them started or continued a war without identifying any clear threat to the United States or defining any objective to pursue, so that we would know when we could leave.

  • @mindspring57 Say what you will about the three Texans you mention, you have that right. At least they loved and do love this country! My question to you would be, how do ya like the ineligible usurping DISASTER in the WH now?

  • @jdubya0257 A few years ago, no one in his wildest dreams could have imagined someone like Barack Obama serving in the White House. But George Bush was so incompetent that he made it seem necessary!

  • @mindspring57 Once again, the question to you is, how do you like the ineligible usurping DISASTER in the WH now?

    jdubya0257 aka PatrioticAmerican57

  • @jdubya0257 "ineligible usurping disaster"? Let's break that down into its parts. I do not think he is ineligible, because I think he was born in Hawaii. As for "usurping," at least he was not elected by a 5-4 vote of the Supreme Court. I do agree, however, that Obama is a disaster. But as I said before, Obama's election would not have been imaginable except as a result of the incompetence of Bush, and the failure of McCain and Palin to provide a credible alternative.

  • @mindspring57

BHO's place of birth is IRRELEVANT!

The main issue is that of his Constitutional ineligibility to be POTUS!

His father was a British subject! Ergo, BHO was at best a dual citizen! Ergo, NOT a "natural born citizen." Ergo NOT eligible under OUR Constitution!

Screw Bush, McLame and Palin! Not ONE of them has been willing to put their own ASS on the line and call BHO out on his Constituitionally ineligible status to serve as POTUS.

  • @jdubya0257 Can you cite a statute or judicial decision that holds that a dual citizen, born in the United States, is not a natural born citizen? Can you cite anything that defines what a "natural born citizen" might be?

  • @mindspring57

I CITE the US Constitution, which is VERY CLEAR on the definition of a "natural born citizen." One Born on US soil to TWO US citizen parents.

You wanna disagree with that? Go ahead, you have the right to be wrong!

Bottom Line, BHO does NOT qualify under article 2, section one, clause five!

  • nice video for the 2nd largest state

  • LOL! Thanks!
