I appreciate your concerns. However he wasn't 24hrs in the cage, he came out in the evening (as you can see in the video and in the "more info" part of the video description).
Anyway, you'll be pleased to hear that he is no longer locked in his cage overnight or during the working day - he is allowed to roam free in the kitchen when we are not home and has the full run of the house and sometimes the garden when we are home.
He has also been bonded with a female rabbit and are inseperable.
The webcam is night vision (works from infrared), completely invisible to the bunny. Besides, rabbits are often seen in "DIRECT SUNLIGHT" and they don't seem too bothered.
Many, far too many, rabbits are kept in direct sunlight in gardens all day in the summer and die from heatstroke. Similarly, in the winter they shouldn't be outside either, at least not unless it's underground in a warren. Well done for keeping yours in your house, where they belong!
Cool idea... I'm tempted to record a similar thing for our house bunny as I wonder what he gets up to when no-one is around! If we do, I'll post it as a video response. Hopefully a spy cam won't infringe his civil liberties :-)
Ahh OK - I think he likes the attention. In actual fact I did check on Google to make sure that they aren't sensitive to IR - turns out it's OK. Would hate to have the babber kept up all night :)
24h in the cage?? you know your rabbit needs more room right?!

Flashlight? What are you talking about?

Thanks for your concern, however misguided.
