There were NO invitations! This was a public event, anyone could come. There's an independence day celebration every year on 4th of Feb. And guess what?!! There WERE Tamil families who came to this event. I know for sure as some were our friends and some were right next to us. The person who greeted us before we entered was also a Tamil gentleman! There were speeches in Tamil, Dances in Tamil, Presentations in Tamil! How could you possibly say there was a racism?
