does target allow overage? Last week, I bought 2 scotch magic tape for 1 dollar and I have a 1.50 coupon and the cashier said they don't allow overage and i couldn't use the coupon.

Actually I have done this many times at the Target in Marietta, GA. It isn't with double coupons, but by using your manufacturer coupons, target store coupons, matched with sale and clearance items. Happy Targeting!!

Ppl please know that different states allow different things. In the state of GA no one would ever walk out of a store w/all of these items for this price because they do not double $1 coupons. That is how ppl are able to do this because they can double and stack coups where they live. I don't feel too bad when I spend $20 on only a few bags. I just leave satisfied w/saving on what I normally would buy and on occasion get one or two free items. It's just the way it is.

Last year when I did this trip the coupons didn't state the 4 like items per coupon. The coupons had no limit. Hope that helps :)

Hi, it took me by surprise that they allowed you to match the price from Big Lots, I live in California and I remember one time when I asked them to match a price from a Big Super Market and they said that they don't match groceries price even though they carried a lot of those items. Any advice?

I understand the difference between purchase and transaction on the coupon but usually the coupons say 'limit of 4 like coupons in same shopping trip'. So my question is, how were you able to get all of those detergents in one transaction?

its more of a courtesy that they take the $1 off of a. 99 cent item but manufacures are the ones paying the price and prices go up because of abuse of coupons. I know a few also how they get the coupons as well

There were no limits on those items.

Buying something for $0.99 and using a $1 coupon is not fraud. Targets registers price adjust automatically in most areas and the other areas the coupon is price adjusted down to $0.99

Target does price match Big Lots in my area. It may be different in other areas.

Look at limits!!! Also $1.00 off a $.99 item is fraud. Taking coupons out before buying an item is also not permited. its for a next purchase. Target does not Price match Big Lots!! Big lots is a closeout store.

@kwr9050 It's not fraud. The stores get the amount of the coupon plus 8 cents. If they don't give a cent overage they make a penny on the coupon. That almost sounds like fraud on their part, but I know a lot of them do it.

@sunshinesuzie924 You will need ten coupons for All to do this. What most of us do is get many sunday papers and also trade coupons with other coupon mom's.
