@dankoopa I used the map builder on awbw.amarriner under the account name Jhuni. That site is basically dead now, however, when I was there about ~4 years ago it was a thriving community of advance wars players.

I recognize the white tiles you place at 0:45 are missile silos.And yet they dont have missiles!In other words, it is like the missile is already fired.And i am pretty sure that in making maps all silos have missiles.

On the first 3 Advance Wars games the size can't be edited.In Advance Wars: Days of Ruin the map can be edited from a size of 5 by 5 to 30 by 30.

utilizing pre-deployed  units makes things fairer.

yeah, though sometimes it can make your game a bit bland. when you dont put any units down and just factories, you can get a much more diverce game but like you said, it can make the battle a bit unbalanced.
