I remember watching the original Hellsing, then thinking the OVA's would be the same, I was immediatley proved wrong after seeing Alucard smirk at Ceras having pulled up her top to see if she had that gunshot wound on her without having realised Alucard was sitting right beside her. I suppose I would be rather happy to get a view like Alucard did then so I could understand that lol, it just surprised me to see Alucard with such a human expression only minutes in.

Tes, there are 2. There is the original anime series, which doesn't follow the manga (at least that is how i understand it), and "Hellsing: Ultimate OVA" which pays more attention to the manga. Both are very bloody though. Maybe you saw some kind of edited series, because of censorship. I honestly dont know.
