I wish I could share my story/book with the world to help prevent this. I wrote about surviving anorexia against all odds in my book A Future for Tomorrow. afuturefortomorrow. com
How sad! You see so many ads on tv, the internet, and radio that try to convince people to loose weight! Thats what I believe is causing these eating disorders! I'm all for getting people who need to loose to loose, but most of this ads target people who are perfectly health for instance woman with a curvy figure(not too fat not too thin)! They (the advertisers) are making billions off promoting the skinny image!
But eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, which I suffered badly from for nearly 30 years are triggered and driven by a lot more than concerns about body image. Yes, the root of eating disorders may be low self image, but self image is determined by a lot more than body image. Body dissatisfaction and disturbed body image had little to do with my anorexia, which was driven by a desire for control, rituals and routines following childhood abuse.
I clicked on this video because when I was 14 I sat with 3 girls at a picnic bench & when the 2 skinny girls got up they looked back at their butt impressions on their side of the picnic bench as we had all been swimming & we're in bathing suits. The 2 commented on who had a bigger butt impression on bench.
This impressed me greatly at 14 that 2 skinny girls bothered to care, but it made me feel damn good that I sat next to the 3rd girl who luckly didn't hear such talk & I caught up with her.
is the statistic they show really acurate??? cuz i started thinking about dieting when i was 13....thats scary...for such youngsters to be worrying about such things...they need to enjoy their childhood.
may I use this in a project?

That's really what we say to ourselves.
I constantly hear "fat whore", "fatty", "disgusting pig" whenever I even consider a meal.

I had an eating disorder for five years and this video displays the way an ED'd person thinks EXACTLY.
