yessssss i just did it!!! finally got a friggin gold medal after like twenty to thirty goes lol bloody ducks i would of thought eating them would of helped, i dunno wot you do with gold medal though does anybody know? it apparently has a picture of Xiuying Zhao on it, but the secret to winning the actual race is to start off medium pace do not go too fast otherwise your duck will be screwed for the rest of the race, but when you get near to the end jus ram that trigger down as the ducks speed up

Its definitely not a mod. From what I can remember it all starts when you meet the girl in pigeon park doing the tai chi stuff, and then you have to do certain things on certain days. Its totally bizarre.

This has got to be some kind of joke mod. At the 17 second mark, the girl asks Ryo if he wants to race the duck and when "yes" is selected, Ryo says: "I'm gonna kick some ass!"

There's no way they would've had Ryo respond that way. Good job though, whoever did it. Now if you can modify together a Shenmue 3 game, with a good storyline, I'll be impressed and pay you money for it.

"...kick some ass" and "Watch me, baby!" seem out of Ryo's character, but it's worth looking into the next time I feel like playing through this game.

@viciousbloodbath If you look closely, those 2 lines are highlighted red-orange, which means it's not Ryo who's talking. It's the duck talking. Also, it is not a hack, as it is achievable. I have gotten to this point of the game before, and have got the gold medal. If you have completed this game and know it well, you should expect a few spots where you do not expect. Shenmue is full of secrets.

no its just a mini game, you get it from going to the secret fight club, then when you get to the end the last person you fight is izumi from the convenience store, she has WICKED finishing move which ahs a sick finishing cut scene if she beats you with it hahahaha check it out

You get the duck around the same time your catching leaves... if i remember right you need to catch like 5 leaves (don't quote me might be just 3leave, just a bunch), then a white feather falls almost immediate catch that and a duck falls into ur arms

I think it might be in both, if I remember correctly you need to catch three of those falling leaves at once three times in the tree behind the dojo. You meet a duck, then I think you talk to that tomato store owner.

Yes it's on the DC version as well i've tried it. You just have to catch two leaves simultaneously twice and then a white feather fall imidiatly after, you must catch it to get the duck.

It's very easy to do, but hard to come across it unless you know about it.

yeah i have actually unlock this before several times you have to go to unlock a vacant lot by talking to Eillen at Pigeon Park and IZUMI at the tomato convenience store and then head to the come over and face Ryo as if you where heading to golden Qr. and you should see a alley way and than go there look around until you find a white open door way that was previously board up and go in and then take everything on table don't walk out before doing so because you only get to enter once

in other word don't leave without the bronze medal once you have the bronze you should be able to get to the third floor of pine arcade in golden Qr. and once you go up the stars there is a man that ask you if you want to participate for in a fight but it will cost you cash accept the fight and beat the first participant and you get the silver medal and if you beat/ when you beat the 2nd opponent you get the gold medal

then head to man mo temple and go to the big red tree and there should be an option to start catching leaves you will then need to catch three leaves at once not three consecutive time like Xiuying made you do so once you catch three leaves in one hand there will be a white feather that will fall occasionally from the tree catch and you will be treat a scene of Ryo catching a duck then go to the tomato convenience store and talk to Izumi and there you have it Enjoy :)

The bronze medal is hidden in the Green Market Quarter. Then you can find the silver medal in the Golden Quarter. And finally you must defeat the girl who practise in the harbour and Izumi from the Tomator Convinience Store. Withe the silver medal you can go to Izumi and play that secret event. I found out a long time ago, but i can not remember the place, where the duck is. I think at Man Mo temple Library, but i'm not sure.
