  • @spootboy123 If you worked in a high-volume pizza parlor, you may recognize the efficiency of docking. When there are 40 items going through a 4-minute oven on 2 to 3 conveyor belts, you might find it quite difficult (and impossible at times) to pop at least 10 bubbles per item. Plus, this has to be done through the side of the oven. Thus, allowing lots of heat to escape the oven, causing under-cooked products. A quick dock from the dough slapper eliminates this whole headache.

  • Been working at an italian pizza place for 8 years, the reason why we dont play around and spin it like that is prolly because we would get totaly overrun by orders.. i strech it with my hands 6 at a time , i do 1 fast spin on each to get rid of flour and people been loving it... i do around 18 trays of 12 on 7 hours. how much are you guys paid for making pizzas in there?

    Just to clear everybody up...

    why are you acting like its a big sin that Australian Dominos stores make their own dough, like we shouldn't be allowed to or something? thats ridiculous.

    I can assure you im telling the truth, there are people, like me, that spend from 10am till 4pm everyday making dough for the night ahead. its all part of the job.

    We buy bags of flour and add yeast and water, mix it, sheet it and then put it in pans, no trays involved

    Dough for Dominos UK shops is bought in trays, just like the trays in the video. Plus I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be allowed under the franchise rules to make your own dough.

So don't get your shit all bunched up...Yeah, they're not pizza artisans...but it doesn't mean it's not a real pizzeria. By definition a pizzeria is anywhere that pizzas are made and sold....bam...every chain pizza restaurant that makes pizzas can be considered a pizzeria.
