Do you mean Hail Purdue? and yes I agree. I have a feeling I'll be singing this fight song all day along when MSU plays the Boilers in a couple of hours. Boiler up boys! MSU's free fall in b-ball is so exciting to watch. Thank you for beating them last week and Go Bucks if your team plays them again in the B10 tourney (and this is coming from a diehard U of M fan so you know I'm dead serious about this.) I have no problem rooting for OSU on the hardwood once in a VERY blue moon! lol!

You will have to forgive me 292 but I have never been to a notre dame game. I will take your word for it after all I didn't realize how great purdue's was until I went to the michigan game this year. Akron has one hell of a fight song also. Hard to beat the purdue marching band, the golden girl, the drum, has to be experienced. Ohio U still the best band though.

The verse after the chorus is actually the "second" verse and like somebody said before, those words do not get sung during the chorus. And yes, there is a third verse sung by the band at special occasions such as the end of season banquets and sometimes bowl games.

This is the old version of Hail Purdue. The band directors rewrote the song a while back.

I never knew of this third verse, though. I know there's a third verse only the band sings/knows, and even then we don't sing it that often.

This is one of the most underrated fight songs. It's very strong, very good, but always seems to take a back seat to the fight songs from Michigan, Notre Dame, Texas, USC, etc. But it's extremely good, and I wish more high schools would use this as their school song.
