I'm not muslim but I think that if you want to follow this religion with absolute conviction, "make up" belongs to seduction. It's not because it's not written in the coran that you can show yourself this way.
If I were muslim, I would prefer to show my hair with modesty instead of hiding it and putting so much make up. Religion principles talk about "temptation" in general, if they prohibited "hair" or "breast" in the time, it was because people understood it easier.
@coucietcouca well even then, i do makeup tutorials and i don't go out with them. I'll be honest, i used to wear a smokey eye everyday and now i just do tutorials for fun and don't wear them out. even though she does do this tutorial, doesn't mean she'd go out with it on. after all, makeup is fun to do :D

I actually think this looks pretty close to the inspiration pic. The main difference I could see though was that haifa's eyeshadow looked foiled (almost metallic, glossy) while your's looks more matte. otherwise they're very close

@sebastiankarmedi we are happy and proud to wear the hijab, we are successful young women with careers and families. its a free world i could choose to walk around in a bikini or to adhere by my religion, and wear a headscarf.

wow alot of hating and religion going on here and i thought this was a tutorial for make up, even though it says Haifa look. P.S. It is important to wear clothing that communicates modesty and reserve... Does she look anything but modest? I think a girl that shows her neck and has a pure heart is better than one that fakes modesty by showing as little as possible... Don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against girls wearing them...or not...I just think it takes more than clothing to be a good believer.

I actually think this looks pretty close to the inspiration pic. The main difference I could see though was that haifa's eyeshadow looked foiled (almost metallic, glossy) while your's looks more matte. otherwise they're very close

i can't belive people are more concerned with her hijab rather than her talent. Back home so many hijab wearing women are caked in make up especially in the gulf countries. It's a shame that us muslims are still trying to desroy and criticise eachother rather than unite and praise eachother's talent.

we do it cuz it's fun & ARTISTIC. Plus it's temporary, so u can wipe it off and start over every day, unlike with paintings.

That is a lot of work just to do the eyes; it seems like Haifa's look is a "contouring" type of makeup -- it seems to change the shape of her eyes. Anyhow, it looks very nice.

Secondly if you bothered reading the side bar youd see that Eily has done a Haifa INSPIRED look. Now unless my eyes are deceiving me Haifa has blue, yellow and black eye makeup on in that picture, so obviously she doesnt only wear black and brown shades like you said and
Lastly Eily takes time out to do makeup tutorials for those who enjoy makeup and want to learn, so if you feel the need to leave a comment make it constructive not nasty.
