First- put some mousse on the places you want the full curl to begin. I reccomend Herbal Essence curling mousse. Let your hair air-dry. The top will be slightly wavy, but not full-blown curls.

How to dry curly hair:

1. Brush hair after conditioning, still in the shower, under running water (gets rid of any tangles)

2. Curl hair up in a towel for no more than 5 mins

3. Spray John Freida Frizz Ease and Dream Curls lightly over hair

4. LEAVE IT. Heat does terrible things to curly hair, you should NEVER USE A HAIRDRIER - it will go very frizzy.

Blowing hot air (or any air for that matter) onto curly hair will seperate curls and make it bigger.

I have curly hair, trust me.

yeah my hair is very naturally tight curls and waves and gets frizzy.i use to blow dry and use the curling iron but haven't all summer.i just let it air dry takes 8 hours to fully dry.i have to use tons of olive oil in it to get shine and keep some fuzz out.without the olive oil id be a real mess.well this isn't my ideal hairstyle but oh well my hair sticks together and its snarles easy even after i use a wide tooth comb.the brush made my hair fuzzier.

That's what I'm also doing, except for the spray. This technique is very good, I don't have any problems. Do NOT brush your hair when it's dry! It will make your hair go frizzy because you're separating the curls. If you want to keep your nice hair and you don't want to wash it again the next day, fold your hair in a scarf before sleeping. Hope this helps!

what i did was get it thinned out

and i use garnier fructis products for curly hair and controlling the frizz

i use dove hairspray it comes in a blue/clear bottle

some things i did to control my hair was get a cold straighten which makes ur hair straight for about 4 months

it makes ur hair really silky and flat and after 4 months when it slowly goes back to curly it isn't as nasty and frizzy

Try redken products for curly hair !!!!

It's exspensive but so good you can have it for a long time. There is a green tube"Curl refiner", take that in your hair after drying with a towel(lightely) and then add the cream and use your fingers to twist secsions of hair into swirls and let it dry. Works for me ! Redken for curly hair !!!! Befor getting this stuff I hated my curly hair and strightened it every day. =)

Mine was like that too. No matter what kind of mouse I would use it would go frizzy. Now I use Tresemme Flawless Curls Mouse. It makes my hair less frizzy and my curls look wayyy better.

yea. I use a diffuser for like a minute or so and then let it dry naturally. If I use it for longer it goes crazy. And I don't use it at all, when it dries it still looks wet at some parts of my hair.

I trust tresemme. With the whole heat thing, I use to never like to use heat, but I use this stuff called Tiger Mask. The company that made it escapes me but it keeps your hair nice and lush looking. And my hair is super curly, and i never straighten it.
