She gets a lot of piss taken out of her for her "indie" period.

"At the end of the day" it was the music that was popular at the time. If she was going to release "Locomotion '96", she'd not have been taken at all seriously & bombed.

Therefore this kinda stuff sustained her long enough until the pop side was back in fashion.

is it just me, or was this the best time for kylie music?

she played with some real strange and freaky musicians, and really seemed at her happiest.

when she does pop shite, wearing next to nothing, she is just another stripper like britney, but when she did this she was good.

she didnt sell many albums, but she seemed happier and the music was more honest.

plus she wrote a lot herself, rather than just singing crap someone else wrote for her

It may be "just you", w0bb. To denigrate Kylie's pop music is a matter of your taste. Your opinion. I have opinions too, but I can express them without putting others musical tastes down. Pop music is not to be dismissed. Porter, Gershwins, Kern and on down have created some of the most delightful popular music. Kylie follows their legacy. Oh, and check the credits on her latest album. Kylie writes plenty.

Yep, it's James Dean Bradfield. He has been quoted as saying it's one of his biggest regrets not being able to get Kylie a number 1 with this song. Damn shame it is too.

By the way the video title "short denim minidress" kinda under values the whole song, so come on get it changed mate.

James Dean Bradfiels is credited as a co-writer, so it's not exactly true to say that The Manics wrote it for her. That said, I think this is one of Kylie's better songs, but it didn't do too well in t' charts.

Shame, she sings quite well here, but she blotted her copy book by miming on her tours a few years earlier.
