PS3 GTAIV artifacts and freezing!

anyone know how to fix artifacts? please help!

unplug your either net cord from your ps3 or if your hooked up to the internet wirelessly, disable that, also turn off dvd upscaling & ps2 upscaling

well they recently released a patch for it, if you connect online it should automaticly download when u attempt to start GTA

Yeah, well guess what smart ass - it happens on the 360 too. It isn't a PS3 issue, it's a GAME issue. Try researching an issue before jumping to conclusions and shooting your mouth off about something you don't understand.

360 version is far better online and slightly crisper, its the better version which is also more stable. Sorry but i think PS3 is shit now, theres no point to it, all its games are just crappier 360 ports.

sure, I was just stating that the ps3 version is broken even with the updates. just buy the 360 version and save yourself alot of heart ache. And if you still think its an issue with the game and not the ps3, your just fooling yourself.

Actually, PS3 owners have been offered updates AND free repairs for their PS3's (even if they're out of warranty) because of this game.

So far, 360 owners who have had the freezing issue and bricked systems because of it have been offered...nothing.  I'll stick with my PS3 and the excellent service and fixing of problems, thanks.

Again, good for you - yours didn't freeze. Others, on BOTH the PS3 and 360 have had it freeze. It's not system-specific, it's a faulty GAME. Do your homework.

well for wha t aguy sayd on an italian forum ( im italian ) he called the sony help center, well they told him gta IV have some problem coz some installed files have conflits with the operating syst of ps3 ( thats why sum1 fuck up the Bluraydisc drive..and next u can't play any game on it ) on 360 i dunno what kind of problem the game will cause .. im a ps3 owner and i have gta IV .. i don't play it for "fear" .. i hope they will up the patch soon :( .. i have spent 70€ for it ..

mine was freezing as well, but when i followed the take 2 instructions it fixed everything but now i wont play it online. now that i disconnected my ethernet its fine and back to normal. 60 gig version
