I absolutely adore this episode XP. The lines are awesome, the dance, the emotion, the heartbreak everything on spot. I loved a thing Niles had said "I'm a dancer, a dancer dances!!!!" So funny!!Niles is so nice and Daphne too.

This it the greatest Tango ever to be danced in a TV series. The chemistry is awesome and passion is flying through the roof! I so loved this episode, even if Niles was detestated in the end..still an awesome episode, Kelsey Grammer really showed that he could be a great director as well!!

Oh, honey! They didnt mean any disrespect. And it is a comedy they did the best in that dance they could. They are actors not dancers. She was just trying to make picture a of passionate poore boy to make his blood run faster in veins. If you know what I mean.

Why does everyone think the scene after is heartbreaking?

If you remember what Martin said to Niles earlier about saying things in the heat of the moment you can never take back, you should feel relieved for Niles that he didn't ruin his chances with Daphne. His "I adore you" was a freebie. This was his lesson to watch what he says. Though Daphne's "I adore you too" didn't help Niles much. :)

At the beginning, Niles gets a date to this dance, but he doesn't know how to dance, so Daphne teaches him. Later, his date canceled, so Daphne agreed to go with him for fun. At the end of the dance, Daphne thinks that Niles is just acting when he said all those things, in order to make his inner circle think more of him.

No. But Daphne was trying to help him out...she basically was acting, and thought he was doing the same (this is after Niles was having problems in his relationship with Maris, and someone cancelled a date on him, so was trying to 'cover' for him...but she still had no idea he had a crush on her at this point).
