  • I'm not sure I get what you mean, but he does 225# X 15 reps as part of the workout. Right now it is a maintainance program and he does 135# X 20 twice then X 15 twice etc. Plus 115# X 10 twice preacher curls and reps down from there. That help?

  • Eat eat eat and eat. If you dont take proteins you never get bulk. Eat lot of carbonhydrates and lot of protein. Take 70 KG X 2 = 140 gr minimum protein daily. 250-300 gr optimum. If you dont eat never get bulk. (If you want)

  • You are gonna hate this but he really does not do any ab work. Don't ya just hate the guys with good genes!?!? He does do the triceps pull downs which do work the abs as well as the tricept, and maybe once a month does some situps but that is about it.

  • He was 18yo in feb. He does decline and regular and incline bench presses. It is true that the decline is easier than the other. He can do 300# on the decline and at least 275# on the level. Injured his shoulder last month and is just getting back to those weights. It will take another month or so I guess to get back to where he was.  I'll try to get another video done when he is back in shape.

  • dude, it's cuz he's an ectomorph. That means that his body doen't put on bulk as easily, but he still builds firm, strong muscle. It's all in the body types.

  • i personally take a 1:30 break between sets of exercises that do the same muscle, but if im doing exercises that do different muscles, i might combine them.

    for instance if im only doing barbell curls, i'll do one set of 8 reps at max weight.

    if im doing biceps and triceps at the same time,

    ill do one set of 8 reps at max weight for barbell curls, and i will proceed to go to nose breakers for triceps. after finishing both exercises, ill take a 1:30 break, then repeat for a total of three sets.

  • nice workout, remember, ya shouldnt be exceeding 47 mins in eash workout, any longer any you will be doing more damage than good, also, u should be compleating your set of bicep curls as one compleat motion with no stops at the top or bottom of the motion, it can be good to squeez the mucle at the top of the motion but for no longer than a second or two. i can see you have a health pogression and will push your body to its limits continuously.

  • Yes but at the time I didn't have dumbells that weighed that much. I now have 40# dumbells that I use.

  • Nice lifting, but for the tricep extensions, you should try using a dumbbell. You won't be able to lift as much, but you can get a better range of motion and better stretch than the plate or a bar and you cause the muscle to work harder.

  • You should buy a curling bar and a tricep bar, it's alot easier and more reliable, you can get a curiling bar and tricep bar for only £15 for both in Argos. nice work outs.

  • Great shape! But I agree with fudgeslice. When benching, try to keep your back flat on the bench. You may need to lift your legs and/or put your feets on the bench as well. Just a hint to avoid later back pain issues...

    Does he work only chest, triceps, and biceps? I hope there's a back routine too: a highly developed chest + weaker lats can lead to muscle imbalance/injury.

    Weights and intensity are impressive. Discipline on form is REALLY important even in the face in discomfort. You can try drop sets on failure with strict form, immediately cut weight by 25%-50%, zero rest, and burn out 5 quick reps (breathing correctly).
