i just dont get why people complain on the light in the movie, and the dark scenes, its night, and we are talking bout aliens and predators, u dont expect them to walk under a freaking reflector light so people could see them better, honestly its terrible to have movie scenes where u have more light only so the people can see what they are doing, and at the end u have almost mid day light and people acting "oh i cant see shit here wheres my flashlight", thats just pathetic, TOTALY unrealistic
Ok I know the first two movies were bad but if they do introduce the colonial marines and have this take place in space I think it would be better and if it was like this I might be excited to see it

I suffered through 40 minutes of pizza delivery boy garbage to get a black fight scene. I was VERY angry@ so MUCH exposition on these boring humans; I endured it because I just KNEW the 'fight' would be A+. It was F-...pitch black. I could go on but this film was AWFUL! I will avoid future offerings from both the directors and writers.
Thank God for Robert Rodriguez and Nimrod Antal. Without them, the Predator franchise would have languished into complete bullshit. Hopefully Ridley Scott will come to his senses and make an Alien prequel instead of this "Prometheus" stuff.

I watched this movie last night and I am regretting it. This movie doesn't pay homage to the Alien and Predator movies it rips them off. The maternity ward scene was unnecessary. What the hell were they thinking?
This movie was a test. In it it had blood, gore, cliched figures, a lone predator with a bunch of badass weapons and skills, and a bunch of flesh hungry aliens eating everyone that didn't have an important part in the movie. It doesn't look like it's what we want, but it's what we want.
This was just a complete rip-off of Resident Evil 2's story what with the outbreak, the group of survivors who are trapped in the city who fight of the baddies in order to get evacuated until the "evil company" screw them over and nuke the city so the goodies have to escape in a helicopter...
I hated this movie... I'm sure the new predalien thign would've beeen amazing... IF ONLY I COULD SEE THE FUCKING THING! This movie was almost pitch black, like they forgot to bring in some lights and just said, "screw it." Maybe these should have stayed graphic novels, but the movies are weak because they dont treat the characters of the Alien & the Predator with earnest respect.
It's like they think they have to dumb down the movies plot potential, creativity and originality in order to make a comic book movie that fans will like instead of treating them with the respect of just being an actual film.
the directors of this film are 2 biased pred fanboys...even though i personnaly like the pred better and disliked their portrayal in the first AVP film and in the new one but still the aliens in here were underpowered as fuck and sayin that the pred was an experienced hunter is a poor excuse that i dont buy.
You forgot to mention how poor of a quality this film was produced even watching it in blu-ray. Everything was so dark you almost can't see anything in the night scenes. Even the day scenes look so horrible and poor choice of color. These brothers got all the light settings wrong too.
I tell you what. Why not take any of the Aliens Dark Horse Comic Books especially by Mark Verheiden. His comics are the most imaginative, scary, thrilling and brilliant ideas for an Aliens movie. They would need a mega budget of $200 Million but market research shows there is an adult box office market for these films. As for PREDATORS some ol bullshit. Cheap, crap effects, crap animatronics, no action, shitty CGI modelling on the predator dogs. Hit yourself if you buy the DVD- thank me later
I wanted to like this movie. The Alien/Predator scenes were cool. BUT
The human "actors/characters" were honestly the worst I have ever seen and I whinced everytime one was on screen. The acting is worst I have ever seen in a movie, the script was terrible with a captical T, the characters (even if they purposefully went for a teen slasher) it failed on that premise as well because I would've loved to see two teens having sex and getting Predator speared.

Hey guys! I have some news! An Alien prequel is going to be made! Now normally I would be pissed and say "Leave the damn series alone. It's already screwed up enough." But it's going to be directed by.....RIDLEY SCOTT!! I have high hopes but just wanted to see what you guys think. What this movie was was as series of special effects set pieces. These set pieces are here because, well: "wouldn't it be like fucking awesome if they turned a hospital into a hatchery and the pregnant lady got like infected that way we could show a bunch of baby aliens nesting in her pregnant belly?!?!?" Egh, things like that have no relation to the plot what so ever. This is what happens when you have special effects supervisors direct a movie...
AVP was a decent film and was pretty enjoyable. AVPR was atrocious and pointless. It could have been awesome too, a Alien-Predator hybrid, it could have Aliens and Predators allying with each other to beat him. And it could have been in an army base; loads of shit blowing up as all the monsters kill each other.

Best AVP movie ever! The actors sucked yeah, but I didn't go see this movie for the actors, I went to see this movie for the action and it delivered! The Predator in this movie is the best and most skilled hunter we have ever seen on film and the Predalien was cool too! I didn't mind the new twist on how they made the young predalien queen reproduce and I really liked how brutal this movie was! I'm a huge Predator and horror fan and this was a brainless, but very fun movie to watch! 4/5

@zombiedude1411 the reason is because the predalien suit is kinda "lopsided" so if they adjust it, u cant see that, but ur tv most likely has a brighness adjuster

this movie sucked - 1. kid gets got by a crawler (face sucking creature) and im like what thats not a nice thing to see. The part where theres a girl whos pregnant in the delivery room and she got attacked by the predalien and the babys get idk killed or sucked out like a straw or something and im like er ok very cool but not exactly 5 star. and finally (SPOILER ALERT) they nuke the planet so terible ending.

1= The timeline is the modern day (today) and that isn't cool at all, the reason the games was awsome was because of the marines mixed with all this.

such a terrible movie. Dark, horrible dialogue, humans had no charisma, no fresh aspects to the plot whatsoever. Horrible ending; i would elaborate but i wouldn't want to spoil anything.

We need an AvP which combines the personal man vs monster dual of Predator with the painfully intense, nerve grinding, yet excruitatingly paitent timing of Aliens. Plus, we need nongeneric characters who we can CARE about and a smart script. Just having interesting human characters for the audience to grow attached to before the death starts flying around would have worked wonders for the AvP films.

It's like they think they have to dumb down the movies plot potential, creativity and originality in order to make a comic book movie that fans will like instead of treating them with the respect of just being an actual film.

the directors of this film are 2 biased pred fanboys...even though i personnaly like the pred better and disliked their portrayal in the first AVP film and in the new one but still the aliens in here were underpowered as fuck and sayin that the pred was an experienced hunter is a poor excuse that i dont buy.

You forgot to mention how poor of a quality this film was produced even watching it in blu-ray. Everything was so dark you almost can't see anything in the night scenes. Even the day scenes look so horrible and poor choice of color. These brothers got all the light settings wrong too.

I tell you what. Why not take any of the Aliens Dark Horse Comic Books especially by Mark Verheiden. His comics are the most imaginative, scary, thrilling and brilliant ideas for an Aliens movie. They would need a mega budget of $200 Million but market research shows there is an adult box office market for these films. As for PREDATORS some ol bullshit. Cheap, crap effects, crap animatronics, no action, shitty CGI modelling on the predator dogs. Hit yourself if you buy the DVD- thank me later

I wanted to like this movie. The Alien/Predator scenes were cool. BUT
The human "actors/characters" were honestly the worst I have ever seen and I whinced everytime one was on screen. The acting is worst I have ever seen in a movie, the script was terrible with a captical T, the characters (even if they purposefully went for a teen slasher) it failed on that premise as well because I would've loved to see two teens having sex and getting Predator speared.
I'm thinking about binning my AVP2 DVD

Hey guys! I have some news! An Alien prequel is going to be made! Now normally I would be pissed and say "Leave the damn series alone. It's already screwed up enough." But it's going to be directed by.....RIDLEY SCOTT!! I have high hopes but just wanted to see what you guys think. (BTW if you don't belive me, check out imdb and look up Untitled alien prequel and look at the first two results). Just sayin.....

It's gonna be a trilogy, as much as I hate to say and think it, they're going to release another film in the series, and it's going to SUCK! The first one was shitty, and this one was just horrible, gore and violence doesn't always make everything better, look at the Saw series.

What this movie was was as series of special effects set pieces. These set pieces are here because, well: "wouldn't it be like fucking awesome if they turned a hospital into a hatchery and the pregnant lady got like infected that way we could show a bunch of baby aliens nesting in her pregnant belly?!?!?" Egh, things like that have no relation to the plot what so ever. This is what happens when you have special effects supervisors direct a movie...

AVP was a decent film and was pretty enjoyable. AVPR was atrocious and pointless. It could have been awesome too, a Alien-Predator hybrid, it could have Aliens and Predators allying with each other to beat him. And it could have been in an army base; loads of shit blowing up as all the monsters kill each other.

Best AVP movie ever! The actors sucked yeah, but I didn't go see this movie for the actors, I went to see this movie for the action and it delivered! The Predator in this movie is the best and most skilled hunter we have ever seen on film and the Predalien was cool too! I didn't mind the new twist on how they made the young predalien queen reproduce and I really liked how brutal this movie was! I'm a huge Predator and horror fan and this was a brainless, but very fun movie to watch! 4/5

i know im a minority, but i SORTA enjoyed the first AVP. hey, its not like the comics or games (which would have been way better) but its a stupidly fun flick. lots of action and plenty of Alien on Predator fighting. check you brain out at the door and go in expecting exactly what it says on the tin; there's aliens, there's predators, the verse each other. and theres some people or something. a fun, but stupid movie. ive yet to see this one

this movie sucked - 1. kid gets got by a crawler (face sucking creature) and im like what thats not a nice thing to see. The part where theres a girl whos pregnant in the delivery room and she got attacked by the predalien and the babys get idk killed or sucked out like a straw or something and im like er ok very cool but not exactly 5 star. and finally (SPOILER ALERT) they nuke the planet so terible ending.

The movies have 2 MAJOR problems.
1= The timeline is the modern day (today) and that isn't cool at all, the reason the games was awsome was because of the marines mixed with all this.
2= The focus was on the fucking humans!! I DON*T FUCKING CARE ABOUT THEM!!! the game says hunter, prey and survior. THe fightt is about predator and aliens not the fucking humans and the movie looked like those fag teenage series... FUCK SAKE. + they also ruined predailen.. its also a queen... nice.. well done ass.

it wasn't the best film - neither the first or second of the A V P films were, but at least, for pedants like me, it marked out the prequel story line that could lead on to anticipating the original Alien film: the Nostromo (and no doubt all Weyland Yutani ships) had orders to investigate any signals detected, BECAUSE THE CORPERATION KNEW WHAT THEY WERE LOOKING FOR

We need an AvP which combines the personal man vs monster dual of Predator with the painfully intense, nerve grinding, yet excruitatingly paitent timing of Aliens. Plus, we need nongeneric characters who we can CARE about and a smart script. Just having interesting human characters for the audience to grow attached to before the death starts flying around would have worked wonders for the AvP films.
