who is going to say for sure why and how witching works? some people believe it is satanic(sp) and witch craft.so if you can find water and make people happy so be it.i go to a lot of places most people will never go to ,see thing;s lots of people would love to see.so i get a lot of phone calls asking me to come see if they have water.have also been to gold mines and gold claims, again people would love to go to.so i have a track record that is good.also i don't find surficxe water,or pipes..
There has been no real explanation for dowsing. I know it exists; i have seen it done. The problem is the lack of scientific explanation causes people to doubt. Eventually there will be an explanation. It does not work for everyone, which makes it even more bizare.

...Amazing. This has been reported around the world from different cultures across time. But for obvious reasons, people on YT tend to think everything they don't understand as being fake.
@rawjudita I wouldn't say psychic. If this really does work, its probably like reverse rabies where your body is attracted to water and shows faint signs of it actually being there.
@MultiSka8er YES! IT DOES NOT WORK FOR EVERY ONE AND I COULD NOT TILL MY FATHER PASSED AWAY.MY BIDDEST WELL 180 FEET 100 GALS. A MINUTE IN SACRAMENTO,CA DOUG BROWN WATER WITCHER WILLITS,CA
@jtjjbannie Honestly, you could just do your own research withOUT youtube & I can assure you that this is something that has been done since long before we came along.
It doesnt work. All you yoyos who believe this need to quit being so gullible LOL. Hold any y shaped stick, palms up and then bend the tines like he does and the stick will flip when given the chance. Go try it, see for yourselves.
When you hold the stick like that , it is storing energy. It releases the stored energy at the least path of resistance. Hold the stick without creating tension and there will be no external force moving the stick. You are supplying all the energy. I have done it. Its a cool trick, to do at campouts and parties .
I can do that except my stick goes up....it used to go down but it dosent now for some odd reason...... :/ and the only way to get it is if it's passed down in Ur family to you
@dbzx10299 No this is actually true I watched a guy do this at my house today, it broke the stick out of his hand. He said he didn't know how or why it works either but it does I couldn't do it nor could the others with us but he could.
water dowsing strange to say the least .The thing with dowsing it seems when its done in a controled enviroment the person dowsing gets pulled to pieces and made out to be a fraud yet theres people all over the planet using it to find oil, water, metals ,it cant all be by chance ? as some people would have us belive . may be there is something in it that we dount understand ? if a dowser can tell you were to drill n how deep and how much water you will get and thats all done by chance ?
Dowsing seems - I emphasis seems - to work for identifying flowing water but not for still water or metals, etc - and it has to be a lot of volume of water like an underground reserve or stream, etc. The tests I have seen to debunk dowsing are with small cups of water or bottles which is not a true test of water dowsing. I would love to see a test in the wild to find real water reserves. (I am a skeptic also but I see some skeptics thinks there is something to water dowsing like here).
One can find water anywhere underground if you dig deep enough. Groundwater is continuous underground, not in certain areas. This phenomenon is pure myth and can be a caused by subconscious slight movement of the hands that would point the stick down. Many tests have proven this method to be no better than guessing. People tend to stay in denial when someone tells them that this phenomenon is false.
@20020638 If you watch the video closely, you'll see that he's actually fighting the pull of the branch. You are correct regarding groundwater being continuous, I am able to delineate the course of water pipes with the use of wire dowsing rods, however, I think what is going on with this branch is that it is indicating where the well should be dug and not just where the water is. I was asked to teach a class once on dowsing and found that only about one in three pupils didn't have the ability.
When I was 8 we moved to an area just outside Winston Salem NC. Its very hilly, rocky and the ground is clay. We paid for 5 drilled wells and found no water. One was more than 200 ft deep. Finally my Dad hired a dowser. That man found water in one day just 30 ft deep. If people know the difference, we bored a 30 ft well (instead of more expensive drilling) and had enough water that we ended up sharing the well with our neighbor. Two houses off of one well.
Awesome video. My grandpa and uncle both have the ability to dowse water, and I'm sometimes able to. My Grandpa developed his skill later in life. I wish to tape my uncle witching water;when he cuts a fresh branch, green and everything, the end of the branch will actually snap and peel away so that it can point downwards, as he is holding it with all his might from going down. Where it snaps is proof enough, as it would be impossible for him to snap the END of the branch. Thank you for sharing.
it works for me to i had my uncle testing me he ad someone find water for him then ask me to do so. i see you do it and its the same for me but i can tell how deep. you can also when it points down walk back making big step when it goes back to normal count you steps times 5 and thats how deep it should be so 3 steps back x 5 =15 15 feet down you should have water if you ever dig one that you find try it thanks for vid very nice and old way of doing it
thank you so much for this video. I know it can seem sorta crazy, and yet it just is what it is. My Grandfather was the go 2 guy when no one else could find the water. I remember taking long long drives half way across the country, then we'd get there and he'd just walk around these people's land with coat hangers or a willow tree branch, and then people would get crazy excited. I was young and didn't grasp the scope of it.
gah it's ironic, I was thinking of just trying it for kicks out at our family farm, there's a well out there and then I was just gonna ask my ma where it was afterward, haha.
@rawjudita gold,minerals..natural gas, iron.there are some theories on dowsing.theirs no real scientific explanation for it,the one they theorize is that you or the stick is reacting to the magnetic force generated by flowing water.but this doesn't explain how people can dowse for water on maps, try it please and tell me how you fair.also try to find something of yours that someone hides under a pile of leaves and see if you can pick up on it.
Everyone can say what they want, but I know for a fact that this works. It's how my grandpa for the location for his well too. I've never tried it myself, but I think i might have to give it a shot one of these days. It would be a neat and somewhat usefull skill for if I guy ever needed to find water in a hurry. cool video! thanx for posting it here.

This actually works with about 20% of the population, but most dont know they have the ability to get the reaction.
Why? That is a good question. I dont know why the stick method works or why the metal rod method works either.
I would love to see some scientific experiments undertaken to find out just why there is a reaction at all.
And yes, I found out I had the ability when I was 16. Since then I have found many lost bores for people.
