  • is it possible to convert torx screw poop to pivot pins? i've got a fake 42 and i'm done fiddling with that shit.

  • @FatGuyWithAKatana If there is a will there is always a way. I am going to machine parts for the pivots that are better and will be posting them online soon.

  • cool, you post em i'll buy em, i don't mind peening some pins, way easier than dealing with screws and how high strung and delicate they are. my jaguar classic has almost no blade play and flips smooth thanks to my hammering skills. you've really pissed a lot of people off by saying stuff about benchmade. they've got a couple knives that i like but i don't shit my britches like everyone else if someone has a negative opinion about them. could i maybe send you measurements for the stuff i need?

  • @FatGuyWithAKatana I got the measurements. I am going to be releasing things soon, I got about a month or so before things will be rolling well. I actually am going to machine pivots for all models this has been a request for quite some time.

  • @Roadsideimports alrighty, i'll keep my eye out, i've bookmarked a fair deal of knives on your site to buy later.

  • This is honestly probably the biggest waste of a Benchmade 42 I have ever seen, I have a 51 and I would jump through a lot of hoops to get a 42

  • @DoodlZ8u They are junk, the original ones were alright but then they let quality go to the pooper. You don't need pressed pivots, that is stupid, they do this because it voids warranty, so their marketing bullshit of selling replacement blades is a fallacy and utter nonsense, then you can't replace the washers, which will wear if you use it. So yeah buy something better and avoid the issue altogether.

  • 1:49 Avaible at assisted knives . com

    LOL

  • @TheKaniq94 Not anymore, I will never sell their shit ever again. Les D'Ahole and Bitchmade can GTF. The goal is to make an all American Made model that is far superior to theirs.

  • @Roadsideimports like the Custom Bradley Mayhem BaliSong ? looks sharp and massive, but is it good to flip ? because then i could buy this in a country next to mine.

  • @TheKaniq94 I don't sell that shit either because it is made by Bitchmade. I sell the Kimura models which are made by Kershaw.

  • @TheKaniq94 but the same manufactur ? hm... well... the kimura models looks interesting for this low price...

is the Bali-opener (bottle opener ) good for flipping ? because this nice thing is the only balisong which is legal in my country except these Keychain balis ^^

  • @TheKaniq94 Yes, the bottle opener is cool, it is not balanced but it is still alright to flip.

  • @Roadsideimports ok, ill maybe buy the baliopener at your shop next time :)

how much cost the shipping to Germany ?

  • @TheKaniq94 $15 through the website but if you pay me with a different method we can work something out. Email me through the store.

  • since when did benchmade advertise that you could swap out different blades

  • It is all over the authorized dealers sales pitch for their garbage, read it sometime, they most likely removed it now because I pointed out the bullshit they do.

  • do u want to sell that knife because u dont like it ?

  • I don't sell this shit. This is false advertising, they advertise that the pivots are screw construction so you can replace the blades in them and they said they would be selling the blades, but in the warranty info if you take it apart it voids this. Catch 22 on junk.

  • this is dissapointing i thought the benchmade 42 was a good knife! bradley mayhem is awesome tho

  • I know this video is really old but I got a replacement blade for my BM 42 from Benchmade for $25 after I screwed it up.

  • Yeah, thanks to me going crazy on them.

Now they have to take care of their issues.

  • What did you do that made them change? This video only has 2,550 views.

  • @smolanskyb you have no vid at all and 37 channel view phail fag benchamde fans suck my balls

  • @EIectroMagneticPulse what the hell are you talking about?

  • They saw it and I have a lawsuit against them.

So false advertising is a big thing and I called them on it.

  • @Roadsideimports breach of warranty, breach of contract, class action? What specifically is your suit against? I have a double interest as a law student. Is it still pending? What stage is it n?

  • okay, the trademark infringement case was bullshit. i'm not disputing you on this one. i just think banchmade makes good quality knives. i've had a 51 since the week it came out and a 42 for a very long time, and i've never had any problems with either.

  • Maybe the older models but the new stuff they make is complete garbage.

  • not necessarily. honestly, i'd rather use my 51 than my arcangel. it's a personal preference thing. i feel for you that you got sued and i think the whole move by benchmade was pretty fucked up, but i love my knives that i have from them.

  • @doalaboratories dude they didn't sue him he sued them for false advertisement. which is pretty fucked up.

  • No they sued me because I sold items that they claim they have patents on. I purchased items from a wholesaler which every retailer was selling and they singled me out to make an example out of. 11 items in 9 sales total for the issue, they have a dozen more lawsuits against other sellers except they allowed everyone they like to not have lawsuits. Then they put more and more crap to the lawsuit that has no merit at all.

  • One thing I should bring up also about benchmade, though, is that there customer service just sucks dick. I asked them a question about the 51 and 42, they said they would reply withing two days, and its been a two weeks, WOW. I mean, your legit in helping people out. Though I cant seem to find any other decent balisongs on your site....benchmade still makes the best balisongs. They will probably end up going out of business soon though.

  • Ya id have to agree. The whole getting sued thing was the most jewish thing ever but uh, ya, benchmade balisongs are nice as hell. The 51 is nice too.

  • Christ, if you have that big of a problem against Benchmade, then quit buying their stuff. If you hate the knife so much, give it to me and quit bitching.

  • I don't sell their shit anymore because it is Bitchmade. I made my own models myself Custom Made in America all Hand Ground Blades S30V.

And I sell the parts to fix them, so screw Bitchmade and their junk that they sell.

Valhalla is Coming for those of us that are righteous warriors.

  • will u ship to canada???

  • Email me.

  • STILL STICKING IT TO BENCKMADE GOOD JOB ,JB.

    Michael. from Australia....

  • so i take it you dont like benchmade? lol

  • did you say Bradley at the end? Benhcmade made the mayhem balisongs for bradley cutlery, and the newer kimuras were made by Kershaw...

  • In this entire run on words thus far it is clearly stated that the Mayhem was built by Bitchmade. Bradley got the materials and had them made but to their standards. Then they designed the Kimura and had Kershaw build it and it was a good knife for the price. Then Brad got sued and went down the Bitchmade way and then he decided to not do business with Bitchmade anymore, he sold off his entire stock at just about cost and then stopped having them make their models.

  • makes sense...and considering the price of the mayhems it makes more sense that benchmade made them anyway since the price was so high, benchmade needed a profit and so did bradley...

  • i think this guy was sued for libel

  • I was never sued for libel, why don't you read the lawsuit details and educate yourself on what happened.

No one liked to hear what I had to say and now no safety locks are sold with BOKERS, Smith & Wessons, or Schrades because of the bs from Benchmade.

Bradley Cutlery is no longer going to have Bitchmade, oh I mean Benchmade make their items and Brad stopped selling their products all together.

40 other businesses have been sued since from Benchmade.

  • thank you for enlightening me about BM. VERY much appreciated.

  • Is the loctite supposed to stop my knife from becoming loose? I've had my new knife for about 3 weeks now and its pretty noticable how loose it's getting.

  • Another happy person that has purchased from Benchmade.

Benchmade and Les De Ahole is not making things like they used to so enjoy the issues of piss poor workmanship by illegal aliens.

I hope Benchmade goes bankrupt due to all this.

  • hey, i hate benchmad now, and i got a whole stock of old benchmad balisongs and they are the ones they made a while ago, bm45s and all the ones with different blades, im gonna keep one of each and sell the rest on ebay and make a huge fckn profit :)

  • Benchmade booth they were TOTAL snobs at the SHOT show in Orlando.

  • BINGO, maybe more people will see the truth and come to reality and see that Benchmade is a bunch of arrogant assholes.

  • I've personally never had a problem with my 42.

If I need to clean the pivot I just use soap and water, then dry the pivot with an air duster. then i use some tuf-glide on the pivot.

I would personally prefer having the pins removable, but I guess one bright side is that the blade won't ever come flying off the handles.

  • Spyderco Spyderflies, Cold Steel Arc Angels, Dalton Wings, these all don't come flying off and don't crimp or peen down the pivots like Benchmade. Then if you remove the pivots you void the warranty and then they state that they put TORX screw pivots because in the future they are going to sell blade replacements. Huh? You can't replace something that voids the warranty and so the statement is bullshit and false advertising because the statement is not true.

  • awesome video man, you acutally know your shit bro. Good looking out. Eveything You said is absolutly true. I dunno what is up with the - feedback , people are just so brainwashed and retarded i guess.

  • Yup, stupid is as stupid does.

I seriously can't believe how many complete idiots are out there.

They are solid handles and if the pivot screws use Loctite then how the hell are they going to fall out?

Seriously tell me I want to know how Loctite comes loose with swinging a balisong?

Are you in an oven and heated up the Loctite to melting point, that is possible but why are you in the sauna with a knife then?

Stupid not going to happen and people should be able to switch out a shit blade.

  • Yes, exactly. My point that someone actually reads the crap Benchmade puts in the marketing junk that the blades are replaceable in one part of their nonsense and then in another that if you take the pivots out you void the warranty. How can both be possible? Which is true? It is a mystery and I'm glad someone else out there can read and understand that nothing makes sense.

I'm glad now that I am not the only one who reads things and questions them.

  • what the hell do you have against benchmade why do you always bash them

  • Try getting sued for $80,000 for one thing.

Second try morally and ethically evil for second.

Try American Companies should not act this way.

  • I can see getting sued, but elaborate on second and third.

  • Violations of the 1st Amendment, making false claims that they own my videos so they are removed, suing not only me but countless others, do a search on dockets justia com and search Mentor Group and you will be disgusted with what they do. Frivolous lawsuits that effect people's families and children and livelyhood. Using illegal immigrants to assemble knives, paying the women 1/3 of what they pay the men. It goes on and on and it is absolutely disgraceful

  • im from canada so whats the 1st amendment is that freedom of speech?

  • It is.

The First Amendment to the United States Constitution is the part of the United States Bill of Rights that expressly prohibits the United States Congress from making laws "respecting an establishment of religion" or that prohibit the free exercise of religion, infringe the freedom of speech, infringe the freedom of the press, limit the right to peaceably assemble, or limit the right to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

  • I see.

  • bradley is made by benchmade

so ... your kinda wrong about tthis and every thing you have said about them

  • Depends on what Bradley, the Mayhem is made by Benchmade but Bradley Cutlery got smart and now the new Kimura is made by Kershaw. So buy the Kimura and you'll get a quality made knife.

  • fuck yah benchmade sucks i got the 42 broke a year later quality my ass

  • this is a great video dude

but seriously cut that stupid music out of it man.......im trying to listen to what you were saying over that anoyying music

  • To reiterate builderman0924's argument, Bradley Cutlery does NOT produce any of their knives. In fact, they contract other companies to produce their knives for them and sell those products under their name; Benchmade being one of their "premium" manufacturers and Kershaw being another (Kershaw has evidently produced the sub-$100 Kimura balisong... does 13C26 steel ring a bell?).

  • I never disputed that fact. Bradley is discontinuing the Mayhem and no longer going to be doing business with Benchmade. Bradley is moving towards other companies and finding companies that are not such a pain in the ass to deal with. Benchmade is a horrible company to deal with all around no matter what side of the cutlery business you are on period.

  • When you do this does it warp the metal at all? or make it looser when you put it back together? I was wanting to do this so I could clean the bast ammounts dirt thats accumulated and re apply loctite. Anyone have any suggestions?

  • It is Titanium it does not damage the handles but you can damage the pivot pins on the threads if you use the wrong size center punch that would be the thing to that you would not want to damage.

  • Good, I'm glad it pisses you off, that is the point to raise awareness of false advertising that Benchmade does. They advertise that they designed this to change the blades out because they plan to sell replacement blades, which they do not and you can not change the blades out without voiding the warranty on it. So then the question is then why do they market it this way? Second the fact that they put all business with lawsuits for using the word "balisong" because it infringes on BALI-SONG

  • I guess it's not so much the video as it is the way your trash talking Benchmade because of one lttle problem in their design. They have changed the way the make balisongs before. They started with pin, construction, stainless steeel handels, and t-latches, and now they have heat treated screws, titanium handels, and spring latches. Maybe they'll fix it in future models, but until the, deal with it.

  • See, that is the whole problem right there, you won't listen to see what the root of the entire problem really is because you don't understand that Benchmade infringes on all American freedom. The trademarking of generic terms is not valid and with a TTAB Hearing, which is a Trademark Trial and Appeal Board Hearing at the United States Patent and Trademark Office which I will be filing against them for the disgusting behavior of putting small businesses out business that is the problem.

  • @Bladel0g1c please check other knife then balisong that made by benchamde overpriced double spring but still bull shit

  • I'm rather skeptical of your opinion. I understand what you're saying but you seem to be the only one that has a problem with Benchmade Balisongs. I can't say much because I don't own a knife yet, but virtually all reputable knife forums, individual owners, and websites give nothing but praise to Benchmade. Could you please send me any information that would prove otherwise? I want to make a purchase soon and if they are indeed the tyrants you say, I must reconsider.

  • 1) Benchmade will replace blades, My co-worker had his Presidio Automatics blade replaced for about 35 bucks... they just intend for them to do it so it gets done right...

    2) Bradley Cutlery is produced by the "evil" Benchmade.

  • Yeah very true, but you didn't read anything above like normal.

  • What didn't I read? I just showed you that everything you had to say was a crock.

  • I have no time to deal with idiots posting stuff to my content so GTF.

  • Do never mind that, I thought you were a representative of a knife making company. never mind that though, unreasonable comments like "whatever, they are junk, and benchmade is horrible" makes you seem unserious and immature.

  • Immature and unserious, yeah right, you don't listen to anything that I said whatsoever and you pick up on that shite. What a spanner you are. The thought process is about as dense as wood with you. The problem lies within the company pushing and bullying all knife makers and sellers in the US using their corporate power to abuse people. Trademarking names that need to be expunged the trade-mark BALI-SONG plainly invalid for genericness.

  • It is completely disgusting that a US company would behave this way and bully and bankrupt small companies and tell them they can not use the word "balisong" to describe or market butterfly knives because the mere word "balisong" infridges on BALI-SONG. That is utter bullshit period and if you can't see the seriousness to this issue you are as dumb as a rock and present another major problem happening in America with people lately. We are loosing the battle from within ourselves.

  • Let me reply that in your fashion: whatever, you are junk.

  • You're a moron period and no more responses from idiots like you, blocked.

  • jealous you're not as good as benchmade? lol you are always insulting what everyone knows is the highest quality weapon.....the benchmade bali-song and infidel!

  • Whatever they are junk, Benchmade is a horrible company. And everyone should have the right to use the English language with every word that has been adopted into our language. But Benchmade has put limitations on a word "balisong" so that no one else can use it in the United States to sell butterfly balisong knives because they claim it infridges on the word "Bali-Song" You simply don't see the importance of freedom and rights.

  • not to be rude, but i know about the balisung and the phillipines and kali...im just curious if you could give me some info on where benchmade has been a real ass...i dont approve of what your saying benchmade has done, but just want a liitle more evidence... all that aside, the 42 itself is a great knife, but i guess thats just my, and most of the other balisong lover's opinion

  • why so much bashing...i could understand bashing cold steel, but not benchmade...it doesnt seem right

  • Balisong is a word in the English language that was introduced from the Tagalog Language words baling sungay. Balisong, literally means "broken horn", from the two words "bali" (which means "to break") and "sung" (which means "horn"). It is not incidental, therefore, that the original Balisong knives have handles carved out of animal horns.

  • Balisong is a Barrio in Batangas Philippines, the home of the original Balisong. Balisong, as history tells us, traces it's ancestry to as far back as 800 A.D., as one of the ancient weapons of the mystic art of the Malaya-Polynesian

    fighting systems -- Kali..

  • It is not clear whether the Balisong knife took its name from it's birthplace, Barrio Balisong in the province of Batangas, Philippines (as

some claim) or the barrio itself took its name from the knife, which has

been made there since time immemorial.

  • The mere use of balisong as appears in the caption of the federal court case United States v. 1,044 Balisong Knives, Civ. Action No. 70-110 (D. Ore. Sept. 28, 1970) (decided almost nine years before the alleged date of first use in commerce of U.S. Trademark Registration No. 1,154,620, obtained at some time in the past by Benchmade from Bali-Song, Inc.,

  • The Trademark Trial and Appeal Board at the United States Patent and Trademark Office will have a case by me brought to them to expunge the registration of the trade-mark BALI-SONG in association with pocket knives, namely butterfly knives, based on its prior use and generic term balisong. The trade-mark registration is plainly invalid for genericness.

  • Why? Benchmade trade-marked the word BALI-SONG in the United States and files lawsuits against knife makers and sellers who use the word "balisong" because Benchmande claims it enfridges on their trade-marked name BALI-SONG. They use their corporate power to put small business's out of working operation that produce or sell items that are marketed to people in the United States using the word "balisong"

  • Why does Spyderco never call the Spyderfly a "balisong"? Why can Bradley Cutlery use the word "balisong"? Because it is produced by Benchmade...Crazy huh? Why can Bear and Son Cutlery not use the word "balisong"? Benchmade is responsible for destroying small business in the US based on a trade-mark name that is invalid for genericness but have not had anyone with the balls to stand up against them.

  • I have those balls. I will file a TTAB hearing with the US Patent Tradmark Office to stop Benchmade from hurting US citizens and their corrupt practices of doing business. The comparison can be made. Let someone trade-mark MI-LK and then file lawsuits against anyone using the word "milk" because it enfridges on the trademark name MI-LK. That is utter stupidity and Benchmade deserves to loose the trade-mark name. This information needs to be made public and for all to see and realize.

  • So yes nate3993 it is all right and justice should be done to stop corporate abuse in this country and stop big businesses from destroying small businesses because they lack the resources to fight the corporate bully. Leave it up to someone who walked the Ground Zero Flag in the Veteran's Day Parade in New York City, someone who is proud of the "Home of the Brave" who is Scottish to the core and proud that my roots are in "Scotland the Brave" and born on the Isle but believe in fairness & honor

  • And just maybe nate3993 you and others will take the time to read things and fight a cause and realize why things are the way they are for those of us who like "balisongs" So GTF Benchmade.

  • one who buys the partialy serrated ones. two in your opinion what is the best balisong since benchmade is soo bad . and three where did you hear about bradley cutlerys line of balisongs.

  • It does what it's designed to do and thats not fall out. Any normal maintenance; loctite, lube, clean, can be done with the pin in and the screw out. Probably the best way to flush the pivot area is with electric motor cleaning spray for RC cars, but theres many other ways as well. Also, I believe the Bradley Mayhem is manufactured by Benchmade.

  • You are completely wrong about that one. Bradley Cutlery makes their own Mayhem items. Bradley is coming out with a new balisong and Kershaw is making them for Bradley. So got to get the companies right.

  • The Mayhem is made in Elkhart, IN. The Mayhem has a S30V Stainless Steel Hardened to 58-60HRC and Machined 6AL 4V-Titanium with Bead Blast Finish Scales on the handle with sandwich construction. The Mayhem is in another league of its own.

  • Nope, Its designed and marketed by Bradley but manufactured by Benchmade. "Brad Foster, owner of Midwest Gun Exchange and the Bradley Cutlery Company collaborated with Benchmade to manufacture these fine, quality knives."

Laser etching on the prototypes of the Mayhem also confirm Benchmades work.

  • Yeah, I asked Kevin and you are right that sucks. I still hate Benchmade as a corporate company. They were much better when it was Pacific Cutlery and they didn't push their corporate power around to bullying small people around. I guess I'll have to stick to Dalton models.

  • A bit weird stating benchmade is junk when all your videos on the bm series are the ultimate of the balisongs in quality and design. And if you use a vice you want have any problem removing the pins.

  • Ofcourse I could use a vice, the point is that there is no need to crimp them, they could have used a slotted system. I don't state they are the ultimate. Bradley Cutlery's Mayhem, Spyderco's Spyderfly, and Jerry Hom's Basilisk are the best on the market by far and crush Benchmade's junk. Pacific Cutlery was a good company but when they turned into Benchmade the corporate assholes changed the company and that is why they lost the government contract because they are not who they were.

  • OH YEAH FIRST VEIW

  • nice thumbs up for being first!

see im not an asshole like most ppl
