I don't know how many realise this, but saying 'this movie is great because it is awesome' means nothing other than the person liking it. 'Its great because it's awesome', 'its awesome because its great'. Does anyone know the meaning of 'because'. Morons.
I really thought it was goin to be and all out sci-fi "Oh no, aliens! Run for your life or they will blast us with their lazorz!", but i found out almost as soon as i started watching that it was not the case in this movie. This was more of a "were in a warzone and ave to flee from here, using what means of transportation we can"/romance. I normaly dont like that ype of movies... but this movie... was really AWESOME! (This from an horror/gore/everyting-blow-up-from-shooting-at-it type of guy!)
does this film worth to watch or it is like Skyline or Cloverfield?
And i swear that when i meet the director of Cloverfield, i will kick him in the balls for make me waste time and money watching that SHIT in the cinema!

The producers made a Chick Flick and every one of you science fiction/action/adventure fans is going to be Hugely Disappointed!!! And the girls who go ain't going to be happy because there are a few MONSTERS in this movie! So NO ONE will be happy. Don't believe me? Then go blow your $12 bucks to see it when this movie comes out!

@carverboy19 what i dont want to blow off my 12 buckx i could be spending on my xbox live subscription or paper towels and on my phone bill i mean come on srsly i would srsly angry if this wouldnt live up to its reputation...>=(
@bonju1680 Saw it. It's a great, not overly long character study. If you like the Michael Bey ala Transformers style of movie you will probably hate this. Could have done with out all the Mexico- immigration issues parallels. felt a little preachy in that respect. But the acting was great and the story moved well.
Bottom line it was a very well made movie. Why can't Hollywood make more like this instead of all these crappy remakes?
I have never in my 16 years seen this movie in my life or heard of it but after seeing this trailer i want to see it. Where can i find it?
