  • He looks like my dog! Rotts are so gentle and patient. Mine is 12 years old and still very aware.

  • Looks like such a gentle and well trained animal!

  • @jollies8 Thank you very much!!!

  • Very cute! :) But is that gorgeous girl eating from the same fingers she put in the doggies mouth? Unhygienic! :O Tsk tsk! xD

  • @THEroxalicious It's not really as nasty as ppl may think. And it's good for the baby's immune system

  • @TheRealJman87 I was just joking :) The videos very cute, I have nothing against it :)

  • a grandparent's job is to spoil the children as much as they can!!

  • Awww that is soo cute, I personally don't like salt n vinegar lmao but thats soo friggin adorable

  • @LadyStasia Thank you! I don't like salt n vinegar chips either, these are just regular potato chips! ;)

  • This video is so cute

  • @bossman198311 Thank you!

  • @bossman198311 Thank you!

  • @bossman198311 Thank you!

  • My dogs love chips too!

  • Thanks for showing how sweet and gentle Rottweilers are. I have a German Shephard and a Rottweiler and they adore children.

  • so sweet :D

  • @wingman123 Thank you!

  • I just love how dogs eat stuff out of your hands so gently! Lol, its like they're afraid to even scratch you <3

  • @BellyDiva14 Thank you. If you look at the other vid of my grand daughter with my female rottie, Ellie and the one you saw her with earlier, Tex - you'll see that both of them are also very gentle with her!

  • You allow your dog to be fed cookies and potato chips?

  • @millietude My grand daughter only visits from Texas 2 times a year so they do not get junk food very often at all but thank you for your concern! And where did cookies come from?

  • I have been bitten, but never by a rottie and it was usually my fault for playing with toys or my hands.

    big dogs are just cuddlebears.

can't wait for my rottie or mix.

  • @teewoods..yup but nobody ever says anything about it..Rotties are the best dogs..its bad pet owners.. I have a rottie and she is wonderful with kids

  • K now for beer !!

  • AWWWWWWWWWWWw so cute

  • It's funny... i've looked up Rott attacks just to see evidence of one violent Rott and all i've seen are peaceful, gentle, loving rotts.... they get such a bad and misplaced rep.

Rotts are great dogs... at least my Sophia thinks so.

  • Aww, this is so adorable! Such a cute kid and such a nice dog....

  • All the rotties that i have met, along with boxers and dobermans and other 'savage' dogs have been wonderful. They are the sweetest giants i know. If somthing and a dog hurts a person, it is usually the fault of the owner. Does occasional insanity happen, yes. But I have had worse bites from small dong then the big lovable brutes like the one seen here. Good Tex!

  • @SheShuichi. I totally agree with you, Tex and my girl, Ellie (in the other vid with my granddaughter) are just total sweethearts and would only lick you to death!!!

  • @SheShuichi U are right and if a small dog would want to kill a little kid like this in the vid it would be problably keep on biting. A rottie just has to bite once or twice, thats why people are so damn scared of these dogs. Just gotta get them used to kids from the beginning and everything is ok.

  • @SheShuichi I completley agree Ive had big dogs most of my life from pit bulls and now i have my first Rott <3...And the only dog ive ever been bitten by was a chiuahaha...

  • @SheShuichi

So true the large dogs in my family (you can see them on my channel) our Rott and rottweiler GSD cross are huge dogs but super gentle, We are having problems with the dog next door shes only a tiny lap dog but shes vicious even tryed to bite the noses of OUR HUGE dogs! I have also been attacked and biten by small dogs while people were walking them on leashes. For some messed up reason it's not a big deal if a small dog bites you? GAH FRUSTRATION!

  • @SheShuichi I know I want one sooo baddd

  • My dog prefers Cheetos.

  • I hav bad experiances with dogs but I still love em to death!

  • Dog leak there behind, how can this person let that baby eat more chips, without washing her hands.

  • @excusasnotendras babys that do this are less prone to infections and disease.

  • @teewoods you are obviously saying this because he is a rottie!!!!!!! They are very gentle and the female I also now have (in another vid with my granddaughter) is a therapy dog so you def. don't know what you are talking about!!!!

  • @RottLuv

You put your beautiful grand-daughter in danger with these dogs. No one on this planets can predict dogs i dont care how long you have had them.

  • @teewoods just because you're an idiot doesn't mean everybody else is.

  • @RottLuv

Rotts gentle? hahaha come on! Do you want me post hundreds of links about how these savage animals have attacked and killed children? You want a gentle dog get a Labrador

  • @teewoods i have a rottie, he is a sweet baby who likes to cuddle. my aunt had a miniature poodle who was the meanest dog i have ever met. he bit me twice.

  • @teewoods Do you know that it is a known fact that Labradors have the most bite indicidents of any dog?!!!

  • @RottLuv NOT TRUE!!! Know your facts before you say something like that. They are not even in the top 10. The top dog is the pit bull. But all dogs can bite, you still must monitor your dog around your kids.

  • @parrett84 You are correct, I was wrong - I just googled it and found that the dog breed most likely to bite was not the Pit Bull, Rottweiler, or German Shepherd, but …wait for it…the Dachshund. And second was the Chihuahua, followed by the Jack Russell Terrier.

  • @RottLuv 100% true! they aren't on the news, but more homes have labs than rotties. Sadly, when a Alpha aggressive dog such as a Rottie, Dob, Pitbull do bite, they cause more damage, n it's classified as a "mauling"

My Rottie has only bit me once, n i was treating an open wound with meds, n he warned me more than once. And that was still just a nip. It's all in training, breeding, n owner responsibility.

  • @teewoods do your research before opening your trap, Rotties are a gentle and calm breed. If one gets into the news for biting it's the owners fault for not training the dog.

  • @Rotties9292 you ever notice how the media is more inclined to always report attacks on dogs who usually get labeled as "aggressive dogs", however they never ever report on smaller dogs who attack humans, even though there are more reports of smaller dog attacks than there are of rotties, pit bulls, dobermans and other so called "aggressive dogs"

  • @1020Shane yep they always blame the breed not the retarded owner. They won't go into detail why it attacked cus the stupid owner wasn't in the room when it happened. Nobody knows what happened so they'll just blame the breed. Like awhile ago maybe you read about the Rottie attacking the kid at the birthday party. The dog was known to be food aggressive so the genius owner left the dog in the kitchen where the kids were eating. The 1 kid dropped a cookie when he went to pick it up the dog attacked

  • @teewoods

Rottweilers are known for being protective, diligent, and loyal. In a nut shell, they are the best at whatever they were trained to do. If harnessed negatively, they can be brutal. But if taught well, they can be gentle. Their traits are not homogenous.

  • @teewoods You also obviously have not had a true bond with an animal - so sad!! I feel sorry for any pets you may own!

  • Good boy Tex!

    nice clip, Thanks

  • This dog is an ACE! Very much like ours!! We lost our rottweiler shepherd mix to cancer last year. We had to put her down as well. This proves to me that dogs can be better than some people I know!

  • wow he is so gentle!

  • aww this is soo cute my rotty does the same thing.. he will sit in front of my buddies kid and wait for him to feed him some scraps.. he will also lay on the floor and let his son ride him like a horse as soon as the lil boy gets a good hold yukon (my rottie) will stand up and slowly move around.. u got a great rottie here its all how ppl raise them

  • Ok, so what's the secret to getting him to eat gently from her hand? Our 14 week old Rottie male is not being so nice to my 7 year old daughter. Of course he's teething. This isn't our first Rottie, but it is our first one with a child. Any helpful tips?

  • TheSofres - thanks for the complient on Tex taking treats gently! Remember yours is a pup and they use their teeth a lot. Try showing him a treat in your hand and then closing your hand so he can't get to the treat and only show the treat again when he backs away a little from your hand...given time he will get the idea that he has to be gentle but you also have to be patient as he is just a pup!! Please keep me posted on his progress!

  • haha, yeah i remember how the pain of our other Rottie did it until the adult teeth came in. Ouch!

Today, i had him on my lap in the rocking chair, he tried to get up himself, and he started to fall asleep on me, picture this, he's 14weeks, but weighs 44lbs already and has tripled the size he was when we first got him. He has these sweet tender moments, just have to wait for those adult teeth, my 7 yr old daughter is getting frustrated as well. hahha

  • The Sofres - just remember to redirect his teeth - you need to have something for him to chew on when he tries to bite you - just tell him 'no bite' and give him a chew toy!

  • Oh yeah we do, i ususally try to hold his head and say no bite when i look him straight in the eyes, and then offer a chew rope, or one of the many other items that he does have but he would rather have our hands, our feet, our pants, hahaha.

Today, he actually just licked my hand, and i have a really funny video of him sitting on my hubbies lap and licking his face all over. He was giving my husband a facial!

  • my rott was the best but we had to put her down do to leg cancer spreading into her chest we didnt want her to suffer

  • I am really sorry for your loss holaday45 - rotties def are the best....

  • I sympathize with you. Our female 9 year old Rottie died in September due to cancer of the Spleen, it was horrible. Within 3 weeks she died, it was like losing a child. We miss her!

  • yea it sucks and i really miss her she was in 9 years of my life and i am 15 so i had her since i was 4

  • @holaday45 good riddance

  • @holaday45 oh thats teribble im sorry for your loss may she live in your heart forever

  • Really awesome relationship

This is why my rottie had to go on a diet

5 grandchildren and lots of peanut butter and chips

    LOL

  • is it safe for dogs to eat chips? can u tell me wut things they arent allowed to eat? cuz im thinking of getting a small dog and i dont know wut kind of food to give it. other than kibble or raw meat

  • I am 100% you can't feed them chocolate.

    Hope this helps

  • SORRY..I accidentally deleted someones comment instead of replying to it!!! You commented in Nov and have a 7 month old rottie - if you want to leave another comment, please do!!!!

  • I love to see videos like this! From one Rottie Lover to another... this is just sweet! Everyone asks how can you own one of these...and I comment I dont...she owns me!

  • Thanks bonniemf!!! I love my two - they are the greatest - I feel lucky that I can have two!!!! My granddaughter is 3 1/2 yrs. old now and coming up for Thanksgiving so I'm going to try to recreate the potato chip feeding video Tex again and my younger female rottie!!!

  • What a wonderful dog! I love Rottweilers.

And for those who think eating after a dog is nasty, a healthy dog is no worse than eating after a human. Actually, dog's saliva is more acidic than a human's and thus fewer kinds of germs can live in their mouths. This is one reason that a bite from a human is more dangerous than a dog bite. Human's mouths have more nasty germs than a dogs!

  • well trained dog right there

  • Thanks!!! ;)

  • youre letting the kid eat with the same drooly dog spit hands?

  • As I mentioned before, I had just brushed my dogs teeth and if that's the worst thing my granddaughter puts in her mouth (which I doubt) she would be doing very good but thanks for watching!!!

  • Thanks Romeo!!!! Your rottie is also a looker!

  • love your vid. have two darlings of my own and a baby on the way. can't wait for them to meet each other!

  • this is cool but it's a bit gross to have her hand touching the dogs mouth then touching her own..

  • I had just brushed my dogs teeth and if that's the worst thing a child puts in their mouth (which I highly doubt) they'd be doing pretty good!

  • the specialists says that the humans have a lot of more germs on our motuh than the dogs... soo it is ok..

    plus your dog is AWESOME
