This illusion can be done without the use of actors. If you knew something about magic or had any respect for illusionists, you wouldn't automatically assume that the spectators are actors simply because you can't perform the illusion yourself.

They certainly appear to be actors, at least they seem like they are performing. Especially the way he went RIGHT up to them like he recognized them. He didn't spproach anyone else so aggressively.

It's amazing how many of these guy's trick rely on us "taking his word for it."
