Communist Cuba is a Naco-State subordinated by zionists !! that's why aljazeera never reports about drug trafficking, child prostitution and corruption in cuba
@revolution4freedom1 Yes, I think Bakunin flagged that up before anyone, and was the cause of the "civil war within the Spanish civil war." To me it is absurd to refer to oneself as a "Marxist" or an "ist" of any sort. It's at that point an economic theory becomes a religious belief. A reasonable person should be able to read Marx without being a "Marxist," or interpret any of the Enlightenment philosophers without filtering it through the lens of cognitive bias.
@revolution4freedom1 Some good points. I would add that Communism as imagined as far as transitioning naturally from a statist Socialism has not historically occurred, for a variety of complex reasons. What amazes me is that people completely ignore the areas where Communism as a method of economic distribution has achieved a great deal of success. Namely, worker owned and managed businesses -- which are increasing as the global financial situation deteriorates. Few people mention this.
@jasondelauro Marxist-Leninism is inherently an Authoritarian ideology, compared to pure Marxism which is Libertarian. I think this is what Anarchists get but Communists never want to admit. The excuse that the vanguard party should lead govt, not just the revolution,is why "statist socialism" becomes a new fascism.
In case of China, its akin to Corporatism (fascism proper), and with N.Korea its akin to National Socialism."Juche" being the racial element & "Songon" being the Military 1st doctrin.
To understand complex institutions, we must look at them objectively and not through the lens of religious economic doctrine. It's intellectually dishonest to claim that Communism in particular is rooted in violence without acknowledging that Capitalism also has relied on State violence. On the other hand, Communism as imagined has never been achieved, and historical attempts to implement it resulted in either Capitalism with State intervention or at worst, State capitalist slave societies.
@DaxtonVillon I never said they're the same... i said neither of the two ideologies are in existence. They appear in BOOKS, not in states. Look up Ron Paul on Corporatism vs Capitalism.
Why dont you click on "View all comments" and read the entire conversation before jumping to conclusions? Chances are you'll learn smthing, given that 90% of people dont know what Communism is, and 50% of people dont know what Capitalism is. Both the West and the Communist countries are corporatist oligarchies.
@DaxtonVillon Maybe if you werent the type that likes to "pick a fight", you wouldnt be slapped in the face in return. Thats some life advice for u btw.
I aint no liberal either, maybe slightly libertarian but very conservative... And "correct" me in what exactly? what communism means, or capitalism. Why dont u go ahead and define them.
@DaxtonVillon Idiot, i never said they were the same. But it is FACT, neither one of these two ideologies exist in practice, only in theory. Both "communist" countries and "capitalist" countries exist in name, not in practice. There are only corporatist and oligarchies in practice today. IDIOT, jeez.
Why cant we just fucking we re create relations with them..Cold War has been over for 20 years, and the Cuban Missile crisis has been over for 47 years
If they want to do better at farming they need to look at the Chineese model they have been using science in farming for thousands of years. They have low tech ways to increase production just casting seed the way they are doing it is not as productive as a machine that places the seed exactly where it needs to be. These machines are not run by motor but by animal.
@iippo06 IT IS FREE...for Cubans. You get rations per person in your family/house. But if you want to buy more, it costs money. And they don't give you much meat, unless your a child, then you get milk and meat...So, people would want to buy the extras such as 'cookies, chips, meat, etc'. And they only earn around 10usd a month...
@GodOfTheInternets Its Anarchism that tries to abolish money, not Communism. People get paid more if they do more work, and less if they do less. Thats crucial element in Communism.
Since profit is basically money withheld by the Capitalist from the Laborer, which is considered "exploitation" under Marxism. Someone makes money (profit) only by denying another of their fair share.
As for Cuba, their constitution is pretty clear: they are "in transition to communism". If they or anyone were actually Communist, the gov't would be abolished right then and there!
Under Marxist-Leninism, the transition between capitalism to communism is Socialism: also known as the "dictatorship of the proletariat". This is led by the "vanguard party" (a single party) who is for the interest of the working class, and laying down the infrastructure for communism, which is a stateless society.
Nice to see someone finally got it right. You may be the first person in a YouTube comment section to get Marxism right.
As for transition to communism, I doubt the Cuban government is very much interested in a stateless society. Like in the USSR, the term 'Marxism' got highjacked by statists and twisted into a permanent dictaorship that doesn't even belong to the proletariat. Mark my words, people who seize governmental power will never have the intent of giving it up.
@SSTTEEAALLTTHH Thanks. It only takes a little research for ppl to realize what Communism really is, same thing with Capitalism. It can be argued that capitalism today is actually Corporatism, since theres no freemarket. (Corporatism= Fascism)
And thats why both "communist" and "capitalist" countries are rules by oligarchs, merely fooling their respective masses making them believe theres actual socialism or capitalism going on. Atleast Cuba is moderate compared to other oligarch dictatorships.
@GodOfTheInternets Yeah, you think that.. and whatever else ur NATO brand textbooks told you.. Then maybe you could pick up a book by Karl Marx smtime?... Communism has money, this "moneyless" notion is a total fabrication...
Only some Anarchists believe money should be abolished, but NO communist believes that. People get paid/rewarded in proportion to their work contributed, with the exception of the retired/disabled whom are taken cared of.
@GodOfTheInternets Thats the whole point of Communism: To end "exploitation", which is defined as one person (capitalist) making profit off of the work of others (working class). Profit according to them is 'money withheld from the laborer'; one guy makes money only cuz another was denied his fair share.
Thats why in communism, if u sit on ur ass all day playing videogames, u aint getting paid by nobody. People are free to do work, and then get rewarded for that work. This is all 'democratic'.

The good thing about Cuba's climate is that you could grow food twice a year. There should be no hunger there.

In order to create a stateless society, the government needs to be overthrown right of the bat it seems. No reforming it, just abolishing it.
