Now I'm at disk 2, exactly after I got that old man 5 stories.

I can't find any guardian under summon command, why is that?

wow I always loved FF and Odin's Attack is called Zantetsuken, in FFVI he can be upgraded to Raiden (Not MK GOD) then his attack is upgraded to Shin Zantetsuken. I always Loved Shiva since her firs appeal in FF V, she was my favorite back then.

apparently... the summoner's tribe has bin destroyed and the last of them was yuna. i don't know of everyone else, but i think one of the characters that makes final fantasy what is, is the summoner. they make you feel like your "secret weapon". ff has lost that.

Wasn't there supposed to be a second version to the Odin summon? I forget the conditions for triggering it. I think a certain item had to be equipped. I remember Eiko, though she only had 4 eidolons, had just as many numerous summons depending on the items you equipped.

I really love this game!!! this is the reason why I was hooked on Final Fantasy. For a PS1 game, it has nice graphics... and talk about the summons, they're so many! I especially like the idea of acquiring abilities through equipments. hope they make a remake for portable gaming consoles.

i think emerald had closer to 1 million HP. I had to do the lucky 7 thing and knights him about 4 times before he died.

you can kill emerald in one sneak attack hit if if you do things right, look it up on youtube if you dont believe me, but it takes the challenge out of it so ide make 2 saves if your going to do it (one for trying it the other for actually fighting him)

Did you know that the eidolons can sometimes summon themselves? I found that out during the Lich fight. EVERYBODY died, but fortunately, I had Eiko in my party at the time. She summoned Phoenix WHILE KO'ed! I laughed my ass off (I lost to Lich anyway, though...)

Well, i guess you had Garnet in Trance mode, because then the last summoned eidolon attacks over and over again, untill Garnets Trance is over. Otherwise there is no way they can summon up themselves.

There is no such thing as materia in final fantasy 9.

Materia is FF7, All skills/magic in FF9 is learn't by equiping weapons/armor/acceoreys(sp) then u have to keep wearing it for a set number of AP before u can use when not using said item.

There's a fun little benefit you get from a super long summon after you get auto-regen. Basically, while the summon is going on, time continues to tick by, so you can get quite a bit of health back by summoning the Ark and making the battle "wait" for it to finish.

Simply standing there doesn't work because the enemy will still attack ^_^
