  • lol. "mainly its the sensation of pain"

  • thats not lime paste as in lime fruits. Its lime like limestone. "kunn yar" is quite nasty. Its just like the dip rednecks partake in over here.

  • Its paan! You use to to paint shit red with your spit. Like your neighbor's walls that needed some paint, public toilets, street corners, sidewalks, government offices, etc, you get the idea.

  • I tried this and I got stoned. Really really stoned.

  • LOL

  • I have seen some people chew that in Thailand too..

  • My grandma chews that. I was wondering what it was for the past decade or so. Now, I finally know.

  • they pranked him hahahaha jk ik

  • It's an Indian concoction called Pan. You get it on every roadside there

  • in Malaysia we called it "Sirih Pinang"...its just a somekind of Malay traditional food.

  • it looks like it would be juicy and good (-) the tabaco :). But one look at their teeth and I would have been like "umm no thank you, I don't want ragly mouths like ya'lls"

  • yep ur right i would say no thanks also just you did.

  • it actually has a unique taste and I used to chew it for a year until I decided to quit cuz of my teeth increasingly looking gross.

  • we're all biased, you mean condescending

  • its so funny to see the grown women laughing like 4 year olds

  • here eat this turd..oh yeah its a local delicacy..ha ha ha

  • That Paan? they have that in india and pakistan, i eat the one without tobacco =)

  • they're laughing at his stupid ass

  • they are just pulling his legs and have a good ol laughs. generally this is chewed by the elderly, a kind of tabaco subtitute. good for him to have a go.

  • what's the sensation about keep chewing gum whole day?

    these women are so lovely

betelnut pack are used as natural chewing gum in many south-east asia country, it keeps you high and awake

  • I knew a guy in college who had been to Thailand or Malaysia or some place around there, and he did the whole betel nut thing. I got the idea that it was addictive and relaxing. There are a lot of drugs out there to try, and from what I gathered, betel nut is relatively harmless, safer than tobacco maybe? This guy also got to try real kava. I wonder if he did any opium...

  • my aunt still does this. she uses the same exact ingredients shown in the video. she makes her own lime by burning(?) sea shells on hot coals.

  • I don't understand the purpose of chewing this. Is out-there no better than this?

  • What part of "don't chew, just hold it in your mouth" didn't he understand?

BBC, thanks a million for posting these. I live in the States and there is no other way for me to see them. I wish a local (Colorado) TV station would buy Monarch of the Glen.

  • these cooking in the danger zone is pretty fun xD

  • delicacy? its just 'pan' as we call it in indian subcontinent. one can find it in every damn street corner ;).

  • they all sound high

  • my grandma used to eat that :-)

  • Mine used to as well...I think she still does once in a while. When she lived with us, her bathroom sink was so disgustingly stained and the walls would have a red fingerprint here and there. haha, gotta love these traditional customs!
