This looks like the most beautiful rewarding job even cleaning the poo looks fun!, how would you apply to become a volunteer? I'm coming to see the world cup in SA from Australia
Thanks great you're thinking about going to South Africa! We get all ages at the Lion Park! The majority of people are 18-25, but 41% of our volunteers are over 25! If you'd like any more information just visit the link in the info box at the top right of this video.
22? You're a positive spring chicken! That's great that you're planning to go - if you've got any questions or want to know more about the project our travel guys are always here to help at 1300 88 15 90.
That's awesome - the project's called 'Work with Lions in South Africa' - there's a link to all the info in the video information box to the right of the video.
Glad you like the video! That's right - £1,195 is the cost of the trip for 2 weeks - hopefully you'll be able to save up and we'll see you in South Africa soon!
Regarding your question, no one pays to volunteer with i-to-i. However, our volunteers do pay a fee that covers food, accommodation, pre-departure preparation and 24hr support in-country. Our volunteers' placement fees also cover other 'back-office' costs including product development (checking projects are safe and worthwhile), marketing so we get a steady stream of volunteers for our projects and staff costs and overheads in the UK.
Don't you have to pay for i to i? So it's not exactly volunteering, it's paying to work. I think if someone's gonna work for free the least the beneficiary can do is host them
i went in and played with a white lion named slash he brought me a stick and i kept it. i had a silver braclet and the lions stalked it! lol he bit me a few times no harm done. cant wait to see him again!!
right when i turn 18 i'm doing that @.@ but for now i'm probably going to do the "Hands-on work with endangered wildlife in South Africa" one when i turn 16 =3 just one more year to work!!!
I want to be a Animal Conservationist once i finished college.
I love all the Big Cats.
The Lions are lovely.
I want to go to South Africa and do some work with the cats, but need to get the money.

I would love to do this, but what's the average age? I worry that it would mainly be 18-19 year olds.
