Gosh, I think I have been forever put off wanting to ever see the Danish version and it's completely the doing of all the "I hope everyone realises that the original is Danish, everyone has to go watch it, it's so artsy" -people.

That information is already in the opening credits of the series. You don't have to rub everyone's face in it. Can't you just let people enjoy THIS show in peace? It wouldn't matter if you just mentioned it for people who are interested but enough is enough!

@flymurdererfly i hope u realize that the danish version is in no way artsy, lol but thats a common misconception probably due to americans finding any kind of european filiming "artsy". the danish version is far from artsy. its edgy, creepier, harsher and the humor is a little more black and better executed than kings copy.

but i like this show too. i like where this show deviates from the danish one. interesting american take on it i guess.

@interspecificcompet Well, I just used the word 'artsy' because of the limited number of characters I could use :) My point was how irritating it is when people have to shove their self-declared superior taste down other people's throats when NICELY recommendating the other version (like you do :)) would get the point across so much better.

@flymurdererfly also i am demanding you watch the danish version! not because i feel like i need to enlighten you or anything but because i can immensly recommend it and its fun. hey, i am doing it too, i watched the danish one and loved it and now i am watching the american one, which is good but you know ;) wont reach the danish one. its a matter of taste in the end i suppose. so i agree with u people need to stop being condescending

5 stars u deserve it ....but this isn't my 1 watch of the series.Also there was a scene where paul said something like ''Call the doctor,call the nuse,this guy's goffy & it's getting worse".In what episode is it ?:D...Oh 66mercipourlevenin99 you are so right!!!he is a hunk :P

It's Actually a re-make of a Danish TV series by Lars Von Trier.

Stephen King only added a few new characters and changed the story a bid.

Try to find the original, it's called the Kingdom or "Riget" in Danish. I don't know if it's released with english sub's, but if it is: check it out!

It's far more creepy and visually far more artistic.
