Did you ever hear of sleep parylasis(it usually happens in early morning)? In this state a person is awake but slill dreaming. A common thing that has happened to me several times. When a person has this experience it is scarry even if one knows what it is. Just no way of shaking that feeling of an evil presence which is why we call it "The Hag" here in Newfoundland.
