  • Real awesome videos, thanks for sharing all your knowledge.

  • @theturntablehermit Thanks man! Absolutely my pleasure

  • You are sick man! :)

  • Nice

  • Great vid this one really helped me

  • i had no idea there was so much planning involved. I always thought graffiti was a "spur of the moment" process, something developed along the way.

  • @Primape92 The best IS spur of the moment! But practicing, or at least understanding , this technique can help you understand more and maybe expand your technique. thats all! Even if its a faint idea you keep in mind while doing a spur of the moment piece.

  • @reskillmows Where do you buy that smooth canvas, because every time i use markers, the nib gets destroyed and it comes out like crap, but you used decos...DO you have to use gesso?

  • @llSLIMll if youre buying canvases that are white, those are already gesso'd. if theyre that rough, add a nice coat of acrylic paint, which should smooth it out. i never marker directly onto the gesso.

  • @Primape92 i kno right

  • the piece looks kinda rough but still creates a visual symphony :)

  • man your little tips work a treat make new vids of you doing a piece or something or more tips.ive been doing graff for like a while on paper and shit but only now really gettin into doin it with spray and stuff love your tips

  • @EFEdits Great to know that! Thanks!

  • @reskillmows i was wondering if you could maybe do a few can reviews of like montana 94 hardcore etc. and the molotow premium etc. with advantages and stuff :)

  • @EFEdits I honestly dont know all the differences. Also, id expect those companies to pay me to promote their product :) If youre a beginner, there arent enough differences for it to matter to you. The paints are not a magic wand that will make anything better for you, you have to find your abilities first before fine tuning your tools, if you choose to.

  • @reskillmows Yea i get you man!! thanks for the advice and for replying your about the only one who replies so thanks a million!!

  • your wording tutorials are awesome but if you could you should make some images.

  • I started graffiti back in 05 when i was in 5th grade with my friends i sucked at it but writing one walls was fun so i kept going now im 17 and people ask me and lend me their black books for like weeks xD to do pieces

  • @GraffitiSlim Thanks. Ruined what kind of markers? What do you mean by ruined?

  • @ZonicDesigns theres no best wood that i know of. just get any wood and prime it with house paint first. avoiding drips is up to you, not the surface u paint on. u have to learn how to not drip

  • WOW !!!!!!! I love ur work and ur cat !

  • Loving the random cat view ;)

  • thanks this helped a ton now im satisfied with my work

  • that's awesome. I always have trouble trying to create a cool graffiti font.

  • i likee toxic fumes flowin in my mouth, helps me relax and feel the piece more, jus cuz you use a bandana dont make you toy

  • @dfrankyd1 i am not concerned with the idea of a "toy", and especially not with that issue. that is a health issue. i dont wear a respirator to be fucking COOL dude, i wear it so i can live a longer and fuller life.

...... Why do you need fumes to relax? Youre not good enough just the way you are? Thats a big statement.

  • @dfrankyd1 Graffiti is about all of the feelings and personal thoughts that no conversation could explain. Its a work of art, making a grey wall turn into an instant, feel-good sensation of amazement. Making you proud. Not about hurting yourself medically. Don't go, 'n ruin yourself. Sure, it may feel good, but, dude, killing yourself isn't the message. Nobody wants one less person(unless they're,like, Osama.) If u wanna relax, take a hot bath,or sumthin'. Cause, hospital beds aren't relaxing.

  • Nice lettering.

  • @reskillmows yeah il probably get a big piece of plywood and when i need more room just spray it white again

  • You Sir owe me a new pair of pants.

  • i practice styles and designs on a sheet of plywood (the great part is, its reusable)

  • is the best way to learn to spray is to buy cans and canvases and keep practicing with different caps?

  • @ZacStephenson1 as long as you use spraypaint and play with different caps, yeah, doesnt matter if its on canvas though.

  • @ZacStephenson1 that is effective, but you should also try going out an hitting up a wall so you can adjust to the pressure of actually being at risk. start kinda small in less active areas then work your way up,by the time your hitting up billboards and highly seen places your pieces and throwies etc...will be clean.

  • im long living legend in LOS GANJALES

  • song name?

  • i like you your good but you can read what it says all at the same time! :D

  • you make it look so easy bro. where do you get your inspiration from?? thats the only thing i really need to work harder at, inspiration. that and practice lol. just thought id let you know you have inspired me here. keep up the great work

  • @smithjj789 Its usually not "inspiration"...usually that drives me to frustration. Its just about starting the piece, being in the moment and seeing where yo ucan take it. Dont wait for inspiration to move you cus it is usually sleeping or taking vacation. Make moves on your own time. Glad to kknow i inspired you

  • as an artist this really helped me i saw you in a book about teens a long time ago and been tryin to find your art ever since i think its cool that rule number 1 is fun and 2 is expressing yourself cant wait for more vids

  • very nice! i'm gonna practise a lot :)

  • I think I like your voice..... ha

    its like... soothing?

    your welcome.

But yea I love how you use acrylic (:

  • im never going to get really into it like you are but this is awesome and you have alot of talent but now when im bored in class im going to maybe try some of these techniques thumbs way up man

  • @kenstets12 ha good to hear. have fun with it

  • cool but u lack style man not much flow to this

  • @mrurfatty well, if id asked your opinion, because i admire your work, id appreciate the feedback. but since i didnt, i now cant have the slightest appreciation for your generic, boring cookie cutter graffiti style, though i have some empathy that youre trying to be part of a "herd" and make your shit look like everybody elses. Those pieces in ur vid are well executed, and skillfully colored, but they lack life cus they are not "YOU"; they are "you-trying-to-fit-in", which is sad....and lame.

  • @reskillmows chill lol it was just a thought u have extentions that come outta no where it just dont flow or look right and as for my style im going for a sharp kinda look its just what i like and how my style has developed over time its just some crit dont get so worked up over it

  • @mrurfatty You chill, like i said, i didnt ask for your critique. And youre still critiquing. And youve got the nerve to post a video reponse to my video so you can get some more views? come on now.

  • @reskillmows yeah it sounded like a good idea lol

  • Very Nice Tutorial ..

  • Your tutorials are some of the most helpful i've seen on youtube, hope I'll be able to do stuff like this some day.

  • Any Internet sites u suggest for good supplies ????

  • @reddishmango artprimo for selection, 33third for cheap can prices.

  • Is tht sponge bob in the beginning if soo wat episode???

  • Hey all you graffiti writers, i've got a big problem.

I've just started to write on paper, but i is just random words so i really need a nice name, but i can't really think of one somebody who has a good name?

Please send me a message :D

  • @Anderskjaerulf

i suggest you come up with your own, give yourself time. Its a big thing and one day you may realize you rather have decided it yourself. its like having a kid. I started as RESK, cus i thought the letters were nice and it sounded cool, then years later an older graffer who became my closest friend suggested i change it to RESKEW to make it original and avoid all the beef i was getting over having the same name as others, so i did. now my name has a real personal history

  • @reskillmows I know, but i just think it is very hard to find a name. As said before i just write some random names and sometimes just random letters put together.

But i am gonna take your advice to me any way.

    Thank you.

  • @Anderskjaerulf it only seems hard cus u havent come up with one. its not "hard". Beleive in the simplicity, and it will unfold itself. this is true for anything in life

  • @Anderskjaerulf i got one for u NEEDY!!!!!!!! jk haha

  • @Anderskjaerulf u should come up with it yourself

mine is ''tune'' cuz som mates of mine call me autotune cuz i can impersonate alot of people and things so just look at your surroundings, what interests you, what letters you think are pretty, or what also can help is seeing your tag name as a gamertag

    have fun ;)

  • @Anderskjaerulf my name is CHANE i chose it becuz the way spell it iy looks cooler then chain and it represents personal freedom for me the way i spell it

  • this s**t is old maaaan.......you need to sort your crap out dude........lol

  • omg nice!

  • awesome tutorials man! keep em coming!

doing artschool so im trying alot of stuff :P

    this really helps

  • thats good man can u do 3d

  • @hyperman102

yeah ill cover that in one of the next vid's. thnks!

  • dude, do spray paint next time

  • do you do request

  • Not bad.. you def kno ur art tho.. thats cool.. taking graff to a new level is what im all about..

    KB

  • your vids really help me out man thanks a bunch

  • @hiphoplivs

    No problem! Welcome

  • One thing i like to say is : opinions are like assholes ; everybody has them. ;)

Josh can have his opinion, and the way he goes about expressing it is his perrogative. I personally dont feel good dissing someone.. Maybe ill do a video on communication soon.

  • @reskillmows Another good rule to follow "It's in the doing, that the idea comes." A good tip from the professor Edmund Bacon. Meaning, once you start doing it, you'll think of something. So just let the art flow like blood flowing in your veins, don't try to control, just go along for the ride and be pleased with what comes out of it.

  • @yeroc1337

I agree. Once one learns to go with the flow and build off each moment, thats when the real stuff comes out

  • yo josh let me see one of yours before saying bullshit over others im sure it will take you days just to do half of his work with paint

  • thats wack bro

  • im left handed what should i do?

  • hey this stuff really helps thanks!.

i was hoping you could do a video on 3-D effects.

    cheers.

  • @Ctotheoze

    Ill consider it, thanks!

  • thx ! that was helpful :D

  • You ROCK!!!!

  • how do you style your letters so good? plz help

  • @godslyaer

ive been doing this 10 years, just practice.

  • @godslyaer

as you get better , you will not think as highly of my "style" cus youll see its simple

  • Thanks man this helped alot, and where did u get the canvas.

  • No problem:D

    Sorry for being smart:D

But my dad has alot of dust mask in his work-room thing:D

  • Thank you to not only me but everyone that has used these videos! I started out not having a clue, I watched all your vids and I can see myself getting better using your techniques! Thank you!

  • Just a tip, alota people been askin "can i use a bandana" No, you canot use any type of cloth to "protect" you gainst those toxic things.

You will need a mask with "FFP3" protection so toxic fumes will not come into yo mouth.

Thumbs up so toys will see this shit aight here.

  • @HIST1ART

    Good advice!! Thanks!

  • not bad for do i dare say it? Meh a toy, but keep you work up brotha and youll get better

  • fucking awesome tips, and it really made me to try a new way...

    I'm not that good yet..

  • man i really have a hard time doing this because i was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and im almost ALWAYS shaky but Ur vids still help out alot thnx for u vids keep it up =)

  • dang that looked clean :) awesome !

  • one piece a day for how much years to make graffitis like you :P?

  • i wish i could paint like you..

too bad i dont have materials to even make 1 piece a day..

  • i wish i could draw like you man..

too bad...i dont have money to buy materials..

or to even create a piece made out of paint..

    im so jealous

  • dude, that is amazingg! i lovwe the color choices!

  • when u mean pop out u mean POP OUT lol that piece really looks like its 3d lol GJ dude nice work

  • @masterjake101

    Yessir. Thank you!

  • @123Shared

    Thank you!

And by the way, you CAN draw like me, if you want to .... you wont realize this until you experience it, and for that you have to take one step after the other. :) Give it a try...and another and another

  • amazing bud

  • the part sayin dont make choppy strokes but long strokes is very helpful i also have problems figuring out how to close the letters, and sayin dont put ur hand on the paper cuz smudging i always do that,

could u do a progression piece making simple letters into a drawin like the one in the vid

  • Closing the letters, like the tops, bottoms and ends?

I will do what i can to help out with your questions! Thanks for your input!

  • yea i dont know if i should close it with arrows or somethin. if u do make the vid can u show different ways to close letters?

  • How do you make your acrylics drip/run down the canvas?

  • The paint will drip if it is watery enough, and of course have it sitting up so gravity does its work. Unfortunately lighter colors wont show as well, the more water you add, the more transparent the color will be.

  • thanks for the steps
