  • Bulmers Pear MMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!

  • Tell you what Joe that's because your aunt was I guess offered loads of money to reproduce the track and she said yes! therefore she trousered the money and headed for the nearest tax haven and magners decided to replace your aunt with some model who would not know the front from the back of a squeeze box!

  • i dont seem to see it say shes in the add mate

  • mmmmmm bulmers......or magners what ever u wanna call it.

  • christ you all wanna be Irish, coz you like the song.just be what you are....and leave Ireland to the Irish....and the little folk...!!!

  • Im loving this song/ad im in jersey and they show it on UK TV, and guess what?? Im from Galway, so driving everyone mad singing this!!!

  • "Magners Cider" LOL! A marketing hype - suddenly Ireland has a 'tradition' of cider-making. In no Irish literature I've ever read is there ever any mention of cider-drinking.

  • Bah, are you Irish? I am. If you must know Bulmer's is Irish cider. When they marketed it in the UK the called it Magner's because there was already something else called Bulmer's in the UK. I'd have to actually research it to find out the full history, but there ya go.

  • That is true my friend ive been told the same story off my cousins in ireland i was confused at first also.

  • Armagh is called the orchard of Ireland because of the number of apples grown for the cider industry. Other counties also have large orchards for the same crop but I shall let you discover those areas for yourself!

  • Sharon Shannon, Mundy & Damien Demspey are going on the Magners Irish Sessions tour across the UK in November.

We're putting on a series of gigs celebrating the Irish tradition of spontaneous music.

NME award-nominated blogger Mike Smith will follow the tour around the UK, uploading real-time blog entries, posting exclusive interviews with each artist, video to our You Tube Channel - check it out!

  • Sharon Shannon doesn't sing. She has various guest singers on her CDs though she mostly does instrumental pieces. Steve Earle's Galway Girl appears on several of Sharon Shannon's CDs.Some of those vids appear on youtube

  • ye but she always plays it she just gets guest singers

  • I miss this advert in the new one its in tipperarey (haha i know i spelt it wrong)alway girl quality tune.

  • does that mean "the girl from Ipanema" is now an offence?

  • what, so people can't sing songs about girls that don't come from their hometown?

if that was true, many great songs wouldn't exist

  • If you're aiming that at me then there's a difference of actually writing the song and doing a copy

  • no it wasn't aimed at you... and I was agreeing with you anyway.

I meant that musicians (like Steve Earle) have a right to write songs about girls from other countries.

I think my comment was pretty self-explanatory :/

  • That's Mundy's song....

  • Open your eyes, Steve Earle wrote it and is easily the best at singing it

  • i agree, mundy's version is second rate

  • let us agree that both versions kick ass.

  • ahh, love this add!

    good old magners

  • we call it bulmers

  • Bulmers and magners are different.

  • no thier not

  • I love this advert but magners have stopped showing it in england and have a new one but was in an irish bar today and it came on RTEone and it was bulmers, does it get shown regular over there?

  • Was it ever shown in England? I never saw it, with this (great) song at least...

  • Yes it went off for a while but because it was so popular magners have started playing it again, which im delighted about :D

  • Just to clear up with anyone, this is a STEVE EARLE SONG. He is the writer of the sogn and its on his album Transcendental Blues

  • fantastic love the violin player

  • sorry didnt mean to seem like an ass...i accept that he did! i honestly coulda sworn i heard it growing up when i was young...so i thought it was an old irish folk song...thats why it baffled me to think Steve Earle wrote an old folk tune..but turns out it was written more recent than i expected!! i honestly didnt mean to annoy anyone! so im sorry for that!! i dont want to seem like those people who write horrible n stupid comments on videos

  • THAT IS SUCH A GOOD AD! its got a famous actor in it , hes in everything like cant rmemeber his name , but yeh , that narator is so not irish

  • cilleinmcevoy, why dont you read Steve Earle's biography - he DID write the song and he has a strong connection with Galway.

  • not being funny just askin out of strong intrest, what are steve earles links with ireland?

  • cilleinmcevoy, as much as you may be in denial, Steve Earle is the writer and original performer of this song, not Mundy.

  • Great song!

There is always a time and a place for Magners!!

  • nothing wrong..americans probs like it better than alot of irish to tell you the truth!

  • well mundy did the original anyway..its definatly not steve earles song

  • mundy does this song..its an Irish song...why would Steve Earle have any interest in a county in Ireland to write a song about it! Sharon Shannon is doing Accordian for it..

  • cilleinmcevoy, why dont you read Stee Earle's biography and learn a bit more about the man. And just to confirm, yes he DID write this song. As an Irishman I thought your comments were pretty cocky.

  • listen mate fuck knows why steve earle wrote it because he is a yank but im tellin ya he wrote it years a go and now mundy a band from dublin have started singing it

  • who sings this AMAZING song?

  • mundy sings this song

  • Yeah, steve earle sings and his version is way better than mundys, i have it uploaded, i had uploaded with my other account but someone deleted it.

By the way this isn't even Steve earle's best song, his best song is copperhead road. If you liked this song you would definetly like it.

  • This is a song written and performed by Steve Earle from the album Transcendental Blues

  • thanksss =] x

  • Love this song now. I hadn't heard this song before my medical formal last week. They loved this song so much that it was played twice, during the night and then as the last song of the night.

  • this is a dealy videos

  • point of view really, but you're right, it's steve earle with sharon shannon or sharon shannon with steve earle, depending on who's album it's on.

  • why say its a sharon shannon track when its a steve earle track

  • He sad it because Steve Earle did it in an album called diamond mountain sessions with sharon shannon.
