  • Its NOT a RECORD !!! Juan Pablo Montoya has a record on Monza

  • @adakar83 You are right, but I think JPM did that in practice so they don't count it.

  • V10's Rule!!!

  • it was wonderful to watch F1 when you knew that a car could overtake annother without KERS or DRS. the rules should go back as in 2002 but with no traction control

  • Comment removed

  • Imagine how many people were thinking "Schumacher could beat it".

  • try and take that much kerb now and these 'sausages' will tear the car apart

  • Barrichello is much better than sucessfull

  • I'm glad they've lowered the engines, plus when they half the downforce aswell, we will see old style racing, PURELY SKILL

  • Montoya holds record on Monza. It was 1 min 19 and something

  • @mmarufahmed Lap records have to be set under race conditions, that's why this is the official record.

  • beautiful sound! I miss V10 a lot!

  • lol when I first watched this i thought he said "Retard Asian"

  • and the comentator never shut up.

  • @carlostamezz cos its his job...

  • @coughingmonster i know bro, but i like to hear the engine when on board cam is on, i guess that´s just me , cheers!.

  • @carlostamezz the commentator is Martin Brundle, dont tell him to shut up... he fucking drove an f1 car before against the best including fucking Schumi and fucking Senna... hes the greatest fucking commentator along with fucking Murray Walker... he'd fuck you up before you have the chance to fucking get to the fucking ragged edge of retardation...

  • @drascalov i rather hear the engine than your boyfriend...( i guess thats why you stand up for him) so fuck off. i made my comment, i don´t know you and i dont give a fuck who you are...´and i can´t care less about you and your little fucking pathetic life... go blow your boyfriend.. you piece of shit.

  • @drascalov You fucking need to fucking focus on fucking increasing your fucking vocabulary, fucking know what I'm fucking saying?

  • I'm really going to miss Rubens this season. However its always great to watch this lap to see what he can really do

  • Whats this commentators name

  • @LBigJake14 Martin Brundle

  • 0:33 two lesbos ahead !

  • living on the ragged edge of retardation.. one little slip and rubens becomes complete retard.

  • Max Mosley and 11 other FIA dudes disliked this video because they scared the speed of this video. :D

  • This is epic as Terminator 2. Nothing bullshit :)

  • o rubinho tava com problemas no freio nessa corrida

  • We don't see speeds like this anymore. What is the highest we see at great tracks like Monza today?

  • fastest lap ever to be set in front of the tifosi, this is sumthing he can always run into schumachers wounds

  • @dazleeders Whilst Schumacher can show off his 7 World Championships and 91 wins? That should run into Barrichello's wounds :P

  • BRING BACK V10's !!!

  • EPIC !

  • Looks like some people don't understand the definition of retard.

  • "The corner hits him right in the face!" LOVE THIS IMAGINATION.

  • love the way Brundle talks us through theese hot laps.

  • it is not a lap record as the official lap records must me set during the race

  • Listen to that sound. I just make small comparison: That engine sounds like a monster, and today f1 engine sound like a small bee.

  • Montoya do 1:19,525 (the fastest lap ever in F1) in practice session(?), this is Qualifying with more (race start) fuel.

  • How the hell hasn't rubens been world champion? Even Jenson button was WC!

  • @NOXXism because his team mate was Michael Schumacher. And Jenson was World Champion because he had the best car, like Schumacher.

  • Comment removed

  • its actually 1:21.046 - R Barrichello (2004) not 1.20.089!!!!!

  • @mattmurs yes it was, check out the qualifying results of monza 2004 in Fomula1.com

  • @999tnc yh he deserves to be a champion Button Sucks.... he deserves to be a champion Maldonado sucks...

  • f1 world record MONTOYA 369 km/h

  • look at the speeds. Rubens in 2004 had about 350 - 360 km/h. And now?

For example vettel in 2011 had fucking 327 km/h! FIA and F1 goes on the wrong way.

  • @ericsson2521 Yeah, you are absolutely right. Even in 2009 when engines were limited to 18000 rpm the cars could reach 350 km/h. Maybe the speeds are slower now because of blown diffusers and problems with pirelli

  • @coolracer46 350km/h you wish, they barely reached 340km/h, even those with KERS.

  • @ericsson2521 In the 80's, the 1.6 L renault V6 produced 700 to 800 bhp, but in qualification, the engine produced 1.200 bhp. Today, F1 cars have better aerodynamics, so even with a smaller engine but a good turbo, F1 cars would fly in 2014.

  • @safuanedante not if turbo pressure is restricted and they only pump out 650 bhp

  • @ericsson2521 beside , not with stupid KERS and DRS..

  • @ericsson2521 They HAVE to slow the cars, if they didn't the drivers would be wearing pressure suits and pulling 9 gees around corners, deadly accidents would be common and team budgets would be in the billions.

  • @ericsson2521 its on the ragged edge of retardation lol, no its way past the edge... :(

  • @ericsson2521 no cause the cars are much faster in the corners...

  • @ericsson2521 This is someone that just doesn't appreciate downforce or cornering speed.

  • rubens is still awsome driver but in a bad car

  • 0:55 G forces baby!!

  • Comment removed

  • @tangywangyify woops, i meant barrichello:)

  • @tangywangyify schumi? :P you wish!

  • Check out my F1 2011 videos! Check out my Rubens Barrichello onboard lap on Monza 2011!

  • @TheRawGamez I hate assholes like you with your stupid ingame videos spamming youtube with useless crap.

  • I wish german TV had commentators like Martin Brundle... :(

  • The fastest ever lap was set by Juan Pablo Montoya something in the 1:19's

  • @09nedtil 1:19,525

  • @pollemar good one!

in GT5 (I know it's not the same at all...) my record is 1:19,502 with the Formula GT

  • The ragged edge of retardation..... EPIC

  • I am an American and I love Formula 1. NASCAR can go screw itself.

  • @A2EReviews well good for you. you can go screw yourself.

  • @laParka777 So you're saying you enjoy cars going around oval tracks only turning left? Fair enough.

  • @laParka777 So you're saying you enjoy cars going around oval tracks only turning left? Fair enough.

  • @laParka777 yea i do. but i also enjoy f1, rally, gp, nhra. but saying that a sport can go screw itself just pushes my buttons. =)

  • that engine sounds awesome

  • Turning speed was less then bcoz of groove tyres but acceleration and overall engine grunt was superb.

  • sorry to say but it doesnt looks real. can that be a faked video ?

  • @maurizio864 ha ha very funny.

  • @maurizio864 - Lol fail.

  • i miss schumacher and barrichello racing for ferrari=(

  • It looks so much faster than nowadays and it is 6 whole second faster!

  • @1relNL1 Vettel's time in Q3 this year was 1:22.275. Also, only race laps count as the official lap records in F1.

  • @OMGtehWINNAR Official lap record: Rubens Barrichello(Ferrari F2004)- 1:21.046.

  • le record de monza by rubens barricello

  • Quality lap from Rubinho :)

Shit I think the next pratice session's on now!! Ciao lol

  • I dont like the way the commenator speaks. Sounds like Gargamel of the Smurfs. Instead Lobato from Spain is an adorable guy whom does not irritate the audience.

  • unofficial record q1 Montoya 2004 1.19.5 :)

  • fantastico o velho motor v10

  • how would it be, see these f1 cars from 2004 season on slicks ....2 or 3 seconds faster than that !

  • anybody realize how in f1 2010 a person at monza has to break at the 200 mark leading into the first corner/chicane yet ruben's is able to break here so much later!

  • @fizzy2o11 ... Traction control helps

  • I live my whole life on the ragged edge of retardation.

  • Lol dude 1:20 is insane fast i do 1:25

  • @ZealotX3 You mean you can do a 1.25 laptime in a video game? Wow. I bet Barrichello could beat that time in the same video game, and you couldn't even get one lap done in a real F1 car.

  • This record will be smashed with drs this year

  • @ms95100 I'd be surprised, the V8 engines and 18,000rpm rev limit seems to have knocked 20km/h or so off of the top speed.

Also the teams will have to consider their gear ratios - if they make them too long they may be fast in qualifying but they will be sitting ducks in the race without the DRS available to them.

  • @ms95100 not

  • Formula 1 should take all the soccermatches place on the telly!!!

  • hes on the ragged edge of retardation 0:10

  • @NeeKroVal retardation meaning to slow

  • @GamersHaveALife Formula 1 is clearly better than porn haha

  • "before the corner hits him right in the face" haha lol!!

  • I thought lap records were set in race conditions

  • @turke47 Well quali was done with race fuel so it is. The 'real' lap record was set by Montoya in the same year but wasn't counted as it wasn't for grid position. He got a 1:19.525.

  • this guy /ccommentator talks way too much

  • He was commenting on a replay guys. Basically explaining how Barrichello got such an incridible time.

  • "He is on the ragged edge of retardation" LOL :D

  • @ididi9 why is that funny?

  • I don't think monza lap record will be do again a day , in 2005 with these very hard tyres for qualifing and race it was impossible , now with v8 engine and limitation of rpms to 18000 , the formula one are less fast , but 230 mph it was probably too fast and dangerous.

  • drs btw :P

  • No no no 2004 cars with 2005 tires with 2014 turbo with 2011 kers ers how would that be O.o 2004 best f1 engine ever 2005 best tires ever ^^

  • @vuurwerkl 2005 tires were ridiculously hard, they had to last the entire race, and were grooved tires.

  • "just snatches the front wheel, he's on the ragged edge of retardation!!" haha, gotta love the commentator!

  • @jaunpae why is that funny?

  • @SerialKIillerrr if you listen to it, clearly the commentator is impressed with the driver and he's using sarcasm and being hyped up to describe just how all out the driver is going.

  • "With the two lesbos ahead"

  • @SimoMcGauneo lesmos*

  • @SerialKIillerrr Yeah mate I got it.

  • wow i only noticed the difference in speed between the v10 and the v8.

  • Listen to the high pitch engine sound!

  • He is so damn fast oO

  • Mamma mia! Andavano come dei missili..

  • rofl, On the ragged edge of retardation!

  • eleventh pole position in formula 1 for RUBENS BARRICHELLO!!!

  • 'He's on the edge of retardation' Haha, there is no better commentator than Martin ....

  • @alaskanthunder STFU. Martin Brundle is one of the best commentators of all time.

  • @PJ2436 Word.

  • @alaskanthunder When did he say he was commentating on football/soccer?

  • @alaskanthunder in Britain formula 1 is a major sport, unlike in the USA where it isn't as big. We're very passionate about it and our commentaries tend to be very involved and lively.

  • @alaskanthunder shut up you don't even know who this guy is.

  • @alaskanthunder Are you retard?! Martin brundle was a former F1 driver. IM SURE he knows that this isn't soccer. Douchebag

  • @PowerOfTheColours - Yeah not to mention he was Sennas and M.Schumachers team mates in history.

  • i wished the cars of now had v10 engines traction control go hell with the overtaking thing people like the sheer pace witch these cars had

  • For fuck sake, bring back V10s!!

  • @ps3gameproductions alwood1993 is very wrong. F1 cars have about 650-700 horsepower.

  • @lukezapper none of those cars you named can take a corner at 150 miles an hour, pull you at 5g's, and stay on the ground. Of course if a car is boasting over 1000 horsepower or 16 cylinders or uses everything it's got in 1/4 of a mile is gonna be faster in a straight line. I think he's just talking about f1 lol

  • Ok, I'm a relatively new fan to F-1, someone fill me in - cars back then were running V-10's? Why did they go to smaller engines?

  • Martin Brundle comes out with some gems time to time but the comment `hes on the ragged edge of retardation` was gold!

  • horsepower?

  • I just watched last years qualifying where Alonso's time was 1:21.962. Almost two seconds slower than this lap.

    Bernie, please retire.

  • V10 power!!! Gotta love it

  • Rubens might not be the best driver...but when he wants to be, (and has a great car) he certainly is the fastest on the grid

  • @tmiller3192 lol no he isnt. jenson totally outperformed him when they were teamates

  • 11 dislikes how could they this lap is amazing 227 mph then 215 mph thats faster than any of todays cars can go OMFG!!!

  • @MegaShaun999 erm noo mclaren f1 240mph, bugatti 252mph, aero tt 256mph, there no were near faster and if you are on about saying this is a fast motor sport watch NHRA drag racing OMG! top fule dragsters go from 0-110mph in under 1 second and in quater of a mile they do 3.7s and reach 330mph :O

  • @lukezapper lool, dude those cars are only useful in a straight line, and a short one, they cant get around a simple track like Monza

  • @lukezapper Would like to see a Veyron or dragster lap Suzuka in a sub 1:40 lap. Also, the Veyron Supersport does 267mph, and the V10 BAR Honda from 2005 did 251mph with the rear wing removed and with a high speed set up.

  • "He is on the ragged edge of.... RETARDATION" 0:11

  • is this a v10 because the sound sounds better than the v6 and 12

  • The session before this one Juan Pablo Montoya completed a lap in 1m19.525s (an average speed of 162.949 mph) which remains the fastest lap ever recorded in an F1 car anywhere.

On another note, this isn't really an official lap record since they can only be set in a race (not something I agree with). Even if that wasn't the case, Montoya's lap would be the record.

Either way, an incredible lap from Rubens.

  • @hwkabro What year was that? Schumacher's 2003 pole was slower than this, so it cant have been in 2003. I dont know the qualy set up in 2004, but I presume there was a pre-qualy session or something with no race fuel? That would explain the sub 1:20 lap...

  • @MetaKnightsKirby It was 2004, in practice before qualifying. I was actually referencing the qualifying in this video when I said in my comment "The session before this one".

  • @hwkabro I saw that, its just with Youtube 'session' could easily have been meant to read 'season' hence my reference to 2003.

1:19.5? Thats nearly 2.5 seconds quicker than the 2010 pole lap I have just realised...

  • @MetaKnightsKirby Fair enough. Yeah that lap will take some beating, especially since it's the fastest ever recorded anywhere in the whole of motorsport history across all tracks :D

  • This guy was a master.

  • how many revs could these things hit?

  • @mrmrjokey Suprisingly only 19k, the V8's in 2006 hit 20k, though.

  • @mrmrjokey

    18,5-20 000

  • 227 miles - 365km/h O SHIT

  • somehow this car looks so much faster than the cars today...

  • @jrveen

    It is.

  • review this video when you want judge Barrichello

  • V10 İ love you

  • 362,2 km/u holy F**k

  • @vuurwerkl

    nope.. 365,32108813 km/h = 227mp/h

  • @ukrje ^^ exactly

  • 11 people watch nasscar.

  • I don't see them breaking this record. They might with kers etc but i dunno, those were very very powerful engines. BEST SOUND EVER!

  • la voz de ese marica repuna

  • King of Monza!

  • this track is awsome on gt5

  • Try pause it at 0:07 and then look at the 200 meters sign.. :D

  • Best Racetrack
