You cannot compare the two ........ two different cultures ....... although Ivan Rebroff's original is a nice song ....... i think fairuz's is so much better ...... all artists borrow tunes from each other ....... but the trick is to make it just as good or even better and this one by the rahbanis is definitely made better in my opinion ........... i'm sure Ivan did not regret lending them the tune
Assi Rahbani may have "borrowed" ideas from different sources, (my favorite is his Ennio Moricone phase), but goddamn if he wasn't a kickass orchestrator. Compare his sound palette to the mush coming out of the big Egyptian TV studios of that time......but yeah, Ivan Rushkoff slays.

A few years ago, two parents went out for dinner. A few hours later, the babysitter was calling to ask if she could cover up the clown statue in the kids' room, the father said,"Take the kids and get out of the house. We'll call the police, we don't have a clown statue." The "clown statue" is really a killer that escaped from jail. If you don't post this letter on to 10 videos tonight, the clown will be in your bed at 3:00 am with a chainsaw in his hand(
