Take a metalsound and try it with the IQ Button and change the settings. I have the Boss Gt-8 and it works very good and similar with the sound marcello is using in this video.

i would say it is OD Blue Dist With a clean Amp. Add a comp before the Dist in the chain. Plus a Harmonizer 3rds.

i've got a tone almost identical to this one on my gt-8 (i also play an ibanez RG series though, don't know if that helps).

@yamitanomura i have the same problem...the best sound i have gotten is putting the "brigth" off in the preamp section.....and when using a good valve amp...using effects (not distortions) in the efects loop of the amp.....

if used directly in to the input of an amp...as i told you, i take off the "brigth" from the preamp setting

therefore you need the GR-20 as well. cause he added a little bit of another instrument to his sound that makes it so unique :)

have the same amp, and the same pedal, and a decent guitar and just cant get the tone i want (something like metallica distortion)... preset effects are just crap IMO.... havent got the time to dial a good effect :(

maybe you have an Eq problem...try to make experiments and maybe you'll get the tone tou want :)

If you want a Metallica like tone you can try to set the mid all the way down and treble and bass very high, then all the distortion you got

if you want an yngwiy like tone you can try to set it on the bridge pickup and turn the tone off

The guitar playing is amazing, but I don't the the effect are ... they sound quite digitally buzzy ... too much effects not enough straight guitar/amp sound. No-one has demonstrated a nice tube distortion/overdrive kind of sound with this box :(
