Yes the aggressors are the people who wish to exclude those from marriage based on religion. Religion is not law. It's a personal belief. The law must respect all religions, as intended by our forefathers. And you're wrong if you think they were all church going Christians. Many were Agnostic, Athiest and detested organized religion.
