ENGL heads are amazing don't get me wrong BUT it would be really nice to see a video by them where someone plays death metal/djent metal instead of just butt rock with little tweaks on every channel. It would be great to hear the unique tones that we all know these heads are capable of.

its a good amp... but for the price... why wouldnt you just buy the h&k switchblade its half the price, and sounds just as good, and has an actual clean tone, the clean tone on this had way to much gain and brightness... im sure you can adjust but buying an amp just for distortion is a bit silly, unless of course your nothing but a metal or rock player who could afford to buy what ever they wanted, ahh well great amp otherwise :)

Trust me on this . I'm an amp enthusist and a recording engg . Kranks are the shit for high gain tones. U dont need any sorta Tube Screamer to tighten it up. Guitar-Cable-Krank . It's simply awesome. Even the clean channels are one of the most pristine cleans i've heard on any amp.

Oh yes .. that the thing . Krank work only at high volumes . It needs to we at the 60 Percent output to really show it's colours . Low volumes are just not it's game.

For low volumes , try the Rev Jr Head . (20 watts - lovely tone at low volumes)

I have a Savage Special Edition and it is an awesome amp but I had to replace the head box because the original was dropped and broke.Built like a tank? I think not. Also VERY noisey on high gain.Does anyone else have this problem?I'm not knocking the amp just telling my own experiences.
